We are installing communications-based train control on the G line to ensure more reliable service on the line. Visit mta.info/alerts to see how this will effect your trip.
@@AMBallProduction how am i an MTA hater? i'm just pointing out how the animation is the same as the F line video. how the hell does that make me hate MTA? fix your brain and stop saying crap that isn't true
Is there a possibility we get G trains back on Queens Boulevard and maybe longer cars again? Like the old days of 20+ years ago and as the builders intended?
Unfortunately there isn't enough capacity to run the G along the QBL with Forest Hills-71st Ave as the terminus for local services since it can only turn about 20 trains per hour. If they built the Queenslink and ran the M to the Rockaways, then it would be a possibility.
Do you also plan to improve the structure in some of the stations in Queens? I've seen so many missing tiles at 21st Street I wonder if some of the East River is going to enter the station.
I find it endlessly frustrating how the MTA has waited this long to update 90 YEAR OLD signals. Once again the plans coming out of the MTA are too little and far too late. This pace of progress is an embarrassment.
Allow for more connection to the G as well Expand its service. If service on the G wasn't crippled, then there wouldn't be a so called need for the IBX
That’s not how any of this works as the much needed IBX serves a different market than the G train. Most riders going crosstown in Southern Brooklyn see no use for enhanced G train service, whereas the IBX would. You really need to stop with this hatred for the IBX.
@cakeyboy I don't think that you understood what I said. Its ridership is too low, as in lower than the rest of the subway system. Don't forget the train crew shortages, and that it shares cars with the E, F, and R, which need a commanding spare factor.
i love how this is just the F line signal modernization video but modified gg
Fitting considering they share R160s and Yards

They modernized the F line video.
The 1942 signals ad absolutely rocks, almost makes me not want modernization
Hopefully this also means extending the G to 10-car trains. I find it pretty dumb how it runs with short trains despite it not being a shuttle line.
its only done bc they cant afford new cars
Thank you! I've been cursing them out about that for 20 years!
@@foreverbrodno it’s because the line is barely crowded
@@foreverbrodThey have the cars available, but ridership on the G line is too low to justify 10 car trains.
@@CLBT7437 I’ve been on the G a few times. It was pretty crowded to say the least. It hardly looks like it has low ridership

Longer cars, yes. But G to QBL, no. Court Square transfer to QBL is available.
If they do, they should extend it to the IND Rego Park Line (former LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch).
@@DTD110865 No, that's not appealing to commuters.

@@the-renegade You mean making it easier to get around is unappealing to commuters?
Once it finish, could that lead to extra G trains every day
NO WAY CBTC ON THE G OMG THATS SO COOL W MTA FOR THAT LOVE THE MTA
the G has kind of had it before this
why do u think the fleet was swapped in 2021?
idk but real CBTC is cool@@ltmfofficial
CBTC is cool and all but it won't fix that the G only having 5 cars and only going to Court Square is a huge problem
Then support Queenslink. It will extend the G back to Forest Hills and will make the M run to Rockaway Park.
They’re only putting it on the G because it’s a simple line
yeah. that's kind of how you want to do projects like this
I mean nothings wrong with that, the L and 7 are simpler and it went well
JOE is My FRIEND OK
B32 stops HERE
It's been Years and the F Culver line still isn't finished. I wonder how long this is gonna take, good luck though
Cbtc isn’t an overnight thing either. The process actually does take years and even longer for existing tunnels than those of new ones.

Please return g train local to 71st continental
(G)ood Job
Looks like the MTA is slowing updating their train lines in the near future of the digital age. 😀
Wait. This fall? Does that mean fall, 2024?
Of course. 😀
Bro I get off at broadway everyday that’s annoying
Next, build the Queenslink, and run the G Train to Rockaway Beach

what animation program did you use to make this video?
I have spent the better part of an hour trying to find something published from the MTA that explains the impacts of this work. I have found nothing.
About time my favorite line is getting signal modernization gg
The Q11 Eats M34 Sbs
I hope the (G) line runs on new R211’s soon…
Better rebuild most of platforms
Excuse me, the R train timing is just rigged!
When am I going to see that map in public

it better include 10 car G trains bc these 5 car trains are bull
G line ridership is too low to justify 10 car trains. They're better off making the 5 car trains more frequent.
@@CLBT7437 its not, i have to push myself in everyday to go to school bc of how many people that are tryna go to queens to take the 7 to manhattan

G trains should be full car lengths because of more demand for suburb to suburb area travel.
Hell yeah baby thank the R160's
Golly G, let me see, a bunch of enhanced features coming up on the G. 😂😂😂
What about south of bedford noaatrand

will mta comment?
They do reply to people on facebook
I don’t really see MTA comments on here. But they do on Instagram & Twitter (I think)
This is great so r46 on g will be retired cbtc so they might use r160 or different fleet this is a great plan
The G doesn't have R46's. It became 100% R160 in October 2021
