- As much as wed love to just ride all over the world with these scooters, we do still need to be responsible and follow the rules. but what are the rules for electric scooters?
Now every state has a large variety of rules, but for today's video, AJ will go over some of the big ones for the California area.

2:20 - Speed limits
4:10 - You need to have a license.
4:30 - Only one person can ride the scooter at a time.
5:16 - Keep your hands on the handlebars
5:53 - Make sure to keep out of the way.
6:29 - No ape hangars
7:14 - Closing notes
8:18 - Outro
The Touring is our lightest electric scooter and is great for commuting and running errands because of its small and lightweight design.
The Cruiser has been called the best electric scooter at its price point and we want to make sure you know that as soon as you get yours!
If you found this and don't have your own Cruiser yet, come check out our store in Downtown LA
Suite 114 / 801 E 7th St, Los Angeles. CA 90021.

California here thanks for the vid!
Video is b.s. here are the actual laws
Section 21235
Section 89.4
Section 407.5
To ride a scooter you need to pass an exam on a car, genius. I know in US everything is already car-centric, but this does continue the trend.
Great vid
nice video brah
Bell's Moto Mx 9 makes for a great commuting helmet, it's also DOT and ECE certified. It also has the M I P S slip plane which helps with rotational force. It's a dirt bike helmet so it will breathe, and you'll need goggles but it's a great option. Some 100% Stratas and you're good to go in just under $200. It might sound expensive but your keeping your brain juice in it's case is worth it.
Hello. Do you have a link for this helmet?
Good video AJ! Loved the hand puppets too bro LOL!
If i dont have a driver license yet, is student id acceptable?
I did some research on google they said it’s fine if a person doesn’t have a driver license as long as they have a learner’s permit.
If I’m wrong please correct me. I would appreciate it so much 😅
iv been riding with put a licence for 2 years lol been pulled over when i was riding on the bike lane they didint seem to care if i had a license or not this was yesterday so idk if the rules hcnaged or what been havent been riding with a license at all
The actual laws to google for CA listed below. Dont get into trouble
Section 89.4
Section 407.5
Section 21235
Forgot one!! Dont be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. You will get a DUI and go to jail.
And most likely end up dying
Scooter are allowed to go 25mph? I thought it was only 15mph. I’m in San Jose CA is it different laws?
15. I am from Los angeles. Limit is 15
I thought he was supposed to be explaining rules in CA.
I think its 15mph on the sidewalk
I'm from Virginia. Our top speed is 20mph. Also, you can't be on a road where the speed limit is better than 35mph. Also odd here, downtown areas require you to ride on a sidewalk. The speed limit changes to 16mph on those. 🛴
Good video.
Hopefully people wear
Helmets and safty gear.
15 MPH speed limit
Helmet only required if under 18
what about the scooters that go 60mph?
@@Darkness-ie2yl easy answer dont get caught 😉
@@leathlizer5160 wild 😄
do you still need a license with a 50cc?
Can I ride fat wheel or tire electric scooter not on the beach path ride but on beach soft sand ? It will certainly be a very low ride, a lot less than 25 mph.
Ha apeh eench kan oozoomez kshee engeh
I just bought my E-scooter, these rules are irrelevant. One thing i see everyday is:
- No helmet (if you are 18 you don't have to but still)
- Two passengers
- They ALLLLLL ride on the sidewalks and crossroads.
Those CA rules are illegal if you do but not all streets have bike lines so you must drive on sidewalks like a normal bike...some streets see cars pass by very close to the sidewalks.
Stupid rules.
Btw i live in Cali.
is it still illegal to ride your e-scooter down a sidewalk as long ur not in people’s way
So sidewalk legal or illegal?
This goes for gas scooters correct?
Can I ride kick scooters in bike lanes?
I’m 16 years old, and don’t have a drivers license or permit, but I know more than most drivers on the street. Should I follow the rules of bicycles or motorcycles?
both
I will listen to what this guy says because he is the lord.
Do these rules apply to gas stand up scooters as well?
Goped*.
Yes
Can i ride a 125 or 150cc scooter in California with a class C license?
only less than 50cc
Are these rules or laws? The reason I ask as I see these rules violated, constantly, every day. If no one is enforcing them, what's the point of rules?
How long can it take for a package to arrive
3 to 5 business days depending on UPS. We normally ship the scooters within 1 business day
@@VoroMotors oki 😃👍
Stupid its a video not the order department
Most places in this country dont require a license to operate an e-scooter because although it has a motor, it doesnt go that fast....Only in Cali will they come up with retarded rules like that..But just out of curiosity, can I ride one of these with a motorcycle's license?
isnt it 15mph?
Yes, he's wrong.
Ur so funny
He kinda looks like Andrew wk
🤣
Meet Kevin Paffrath Governor of California See on UA-cam.....
Every motorized vehicle should require an appropriate license to ride on the road. This includes all e-bikes.
Motorized vehicles should be prohibited from sidewalks and bicycle lanes (bike lanes made for pedal bikes).
I'm glad I don't live in the land of fruits and nuts! Nice video though.
I wrecked my scooter while not wearing any safwty gear. got really messed up, but lucky I didn’t break anything or hit my head. Afterwards I found out that Somebody at my work got hit by a car while riding a scooter. wasn’t wearing a helmet, now has brain damage.
Dude, stop touching your hair whilst making a videos, no one wants to see that, otherwise cut your hair. Having said that, I concur with the rules. Unfortunately there are a lot of yahoos using scooters and they are either brain-dead or lacking simple/basic common sense.
hahah
