(originally broadcast as part of a thing for arctangent festival but slightly rejigged)

the dvd contains two shows (London and Cardiff) plus one of the bastards on an audio cd (we haven't decided which one yet) plus you get these five songs as a download (minus the chat) instantly on purchase. you lucky pricks.
at this moment in time the only option for purchase for digital audio is the Cardiff show but this may change in future
digital video versions should be available in the next month or so

That bass tone is fucking mental.
Best ending of a gig I’ve seen was mclusky at the roadhouse in Manchester in something like 2012. The song ends and the drummer kept playing and they dismantled the kit around him as he kept playing. Was brilliant.

Live the bass tone is even better. See them live. One of the best shows I’ve seen in my entire life. Their trainers seemed fine and their hair was a fuckin delight

I loved this band when I was nineteen. I did a lot of bad things when I was nineteen. Liking this band was not one of them.
Mclusky are playing a show in my home town soon and I had a similar thought that I used to listen to them as a teenager, and I've bought tickets to basically relive a past that I've actively tried to forget or put behind me, except for this part.

Saw these fuckers live at ArcTanGent last year. Soft open with "Fuck This Band" and then when he hats roll at the start of Lightsabre kicked in the crowd went kid-on-christmas apeshit. After finishing the song Falkous just growled "YER FOOKIN WELCOME" and that was the last thing he said for at least six songs. Impeccable vibe, 10/10

While he lived here, despite being witty and hilarious, Falco was actually reknowned as one of the 3 or 4 least witty and hilarious Cardiff residents.

Earth shattering tone, attitude, bass lines and presence. They had to cut their tour short before I could make the Nashville show, but i'm hype to learn that they're gearing up to come back to the states and finish out the tour. One of the hardest bands i've ever heard.
Saw them in Bristol about a month ago (and seeing them again in London in December) and holy shit, they were killer. I missed out on them quite a few times (ignorance) so I'm happy to report that they are as good as ever.

He and Falco hated each other by the end and then he moved to Australia, I'd not be surprised if they haven't spoken since the end of Mclusky's first run. In fairness to Falco, he at least has it referred to as Mclusky* because he knows it's not really a reunion.

There is something straight up weird about digging mclusky in my forties. I guess my ears decided a long, long time ago what good music is.
