I've noticed that the way Joel sings, he uses an O-shape mouth a lot to give all his vowels a darker tone. I'd be interested to see a video where he tries a whole bunch of different voicings and using different registers. Brighter vowels and such, a more musically educational style video explaining some of the more technical stuff involved in singing

Okay, so ive preached this more than a few times recently, but I've been here with roomie since the days of his covers, the days of singing with his friends all the time, the best of [year] mashups. Im not saying i miss the covers specifically, but there was a certain way Joel was into those videos that I just don't see a lot nowadays. He made the funniest faces to hit notes, and he was willingly a dork just to make the music work. I dont see that a lot nowadays, his face is really steady, and he rarely reaches for that headvoice or those really tough notes, and i understand why.
That being said, I saw a glimpse of the old Roomie in the cover for Fly Me To The Moon, and it hit me, hard. I beamed when I saw those faces, heard those runs, I saw a little of roomie's old enthusiasm and fun-loving nature come back in that cover that's been sort of tucked away under the constant content and the attempts to be more recognizably purposefully funny. RoomieOfficial has been the only YT channel ive ever been able to stay with constantly throughout his career, and there's a reason for it. I'll always stick around, but I hope he can find a way to enjoy music the way he seemed to used to. Even if it isn't quite as often as it once was.
