You should do a 'pantry episode' and highlight those things that are a constant in your kitchen regardless of season.

@@kitchenprincessbamboo Exactly. It is very telling what sort of cook one is. You could walk in my kitchen, though messy and filled with worn old pots and pans and probably feel quite at home.

I heard in Japan, you don't have to meal prep or anything to eat healthy because you can get healthy food everywhere. I'm trying to model my eating more on different Asian cultures, like Japan and Korea, only because they live the longest and stay the leanest....so it seems like a good idea, and I enjoy the food. And it's more than just cooking foods from these cultures, it's a lot about how MUCH they eat, and the variety of food. I can make any dish on the principles of variety, portion, and such things.

I have noticed that a portion is very small in Japan. But if you take various kinds of food with nutrients, you would satisfied with a small portion!

Kitchen Princess Bamboo: Japanese Everyday Food Hello, I live in New Jersey, USA. I'm in Middlesex County. I live in a very diverse area so there are shops for every type of cuisine near me! The huge Asian Market in my town has specialty ingredients from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, China, India... pretty much all of Asia. I can get all of these ingredients there. It's wonderful!
My family is originally from Hungary and Germany, but I love cooking Japanese and Korean cuisine. I really enjoy your videos ♥️

I realy like your videos and even though i rarely meal prep knowing how long these things keep in the fridge is olso helpful for leftover ingredients! Thank you very much.
I saw that you use a lot of plastic wrap and a lot of plastic bags, I’m not one of those people that’s really good at not producing a lot of trash for one of those no garbage lifestyles, but I do try to reduce especially one time use plastic and normally I wouldn’t say something but you did a lot of things that you could’ve done with the reusable Tupperware. for example coating your meat you can also do in the tupper (or ather plastik box or reuseble silikon bag) box and marinating your eggs you can also do in a bowl whith a lid . Mostly i am saying this because I saw you put a plastic wrap on something that you put a lid on top of. if you’re going to put a lid on something then you don’t need to put any plastic wrap on it too.
Oh And a tip for keeping vegetables that are already cut from drying or going limp when you put them in the fridge, put them in Tupperware take a paper kitchen towel, make it wet squeeze out the exess water so that it’s just moist, and then spread it over your vegetables and put the lid on top.I do that with precut ingredients for salads and that way they keep like days longer before they dry out.since I usually eat them the next day or the day after that I don’t know how long this trick works but if I do it without the paper towel there usually starting to dry out by the next day already. And if you have a radishes the small red ones, parsley in a bunch for spring onions that still have the root of the bottom, you can put all that in a glass of water you just need to make sure that it only covers the bottom part like the roots and if you put them like this in the fridge they won’t willt until you cut them. I hope you’re not mad that I suggested the thing with the last plastic and I hope that my suggestions for keeping things fresh or something that might be useful to you I really like your videos thank you very much for doing them it’s always nice to watch them and cook some of your great recipes

Question: how many people are these good for?? I worry that at the end of the week I have to check if some of the food has gone bad yet...How much I wish there is a clear measurement for every meal for everyone in the house!!! I also wonder how much totally would it need to be for a couple and one kid family? How about 2 kids family? How about a family with grandparents?? ......I get frustrated a lot when shopping in the store,, trying to get more variety of the food,,, knowing that some food might be wasted at the end... or not knowing what combos I can do with the same ingredients.. Still I'll keep watching all these Japanese meal preps video in the middle of the night hoping to figure out something on my own....

Here in Germany they say you shall not keep minced meat longer than 1 day, as it is so sensitive for bacteria. and yours even has raw egg in it, thats seen evrn more critical because of salmonella. Not to blame you, just to inform how things are told in other parts of the world :) Cultural exchange so to speak :)
