    Really well-done video! I especially appreciate you showing the maps and how you figured out the best you could as to where to go, then showed us the surprises.

    Aww man, should've taken the first route through Richloam. I've done it many times and it's SUPER fun!

    Nice video. Florida cyclist here. I have ridden the route you took from Clermont to the east coast many times. You rode through my home area of Sanford/Lake Mary. Many familiar sites for me on your day three. I will be glad when the trail is completed coast-to-coast. From the Sanford/Lake Mary area there are many choices for cycling on off road trails allowing for long rides in different directions. Great place to be a cyclist.

    Man, this brings back a lot of memories; I used to cycle 25 miles to visit my girlfriend in high school back in Tampa.

    Super cool! I have wanted to do this for a long time. First, I might try Orlando to Titusville. Thanks for sharing your video.

    Nice video. There is a route thru Richloam and is beautiful. Quiet country roads and some gravel. Seen recently some work being done to the gravel so there may be some soft areas but you can take it from Mascotte over to the start of the Withlacoochee Trail close to Dade City. Could stealth camp if need be…🤫

    I actually just watched a video with someone going through the Rich Loam route, so I'm guessing Google hadn't updated their satellite imagery or something, or maybe it wasn't complete at the time, as the other video is a bit more recent.

    You remind me of Conan O' Brian. Did you find out if the construction zone is rideable now? How did you film the riding parts? Looks really good.

      Thanks! To my knowledge, the area will still be under construction through 2023. For recording while in motion, I have a phone mount on my handlebars that I mainly use for GPS, but it also works somewhat well for recording.

    What are the no biking and walking signs at the space center for?

    • @ewannnawe
      @ewannnawe  Рік тому

      The signs for cycling only apply during morning and evening rush hour, which I imagine is to avoid cyclists holding up traffic on the two-lane road heading towards the center. Not sure about the no walking signs, but it's a 55mph road with no sidewalk, so while I wouldn't mind walking along that, I get why someone put it there.

    I have a similar bike. Which panier rack did you use. Would you recommend?

      Unfortunately, I'm not in the same country as my bicycle at the moment. I'll check in a few weeks and let you know!

    • @ewannnawe
      @ewannnawe  8 місяців тому

      Sorry for the late response. This is the pannier rack I have: www.oxfordproducts.com/bicycle/brands/oxford/racks/omni_rackblack/. It gets the job done, but looks like it's hard to acquire if you're outside of the UK.

    Honestly black? Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen and I do FL and I took a page from the landscapers, give some consideration to the long sleeve Hanes UPF50 the landscapers all seem to go for lime green. I go for the baseball hat with a long brim over the safety helmet. Sunglasses are a +. You are wearing some relatively dark ones and I also wear very very light shades at night and that's to keep the bugs out of my eyes.

  • @agpawpaw5912

    Which way would you recommend to bike, East or West and why?

    • @ewannnawe
      @ewannnawe  6 місяців тому +1

      I personally would recommend West to East. This gives you a more favorable start, as the St. Pete/Clearwater area is right on the Gulf, so you have plenty of amenities and will spend most of the first day in the vicinity of civilization, just in case anything comes up. Going East to West, you'll have to travel at least ten miles to get to the Atlantic before you even start your journey. You'll also quickly pass through Titusville and end up on a pretty isolated road for most of the first day. Of course, you'll encounter that no matter which direction you go, but I've found it advantageous on multi-day trips to make Day 1 as easy as possible. Ideally, summit fever will kick in after a bit and make the annoying stuff (lack of civilization) at the end less impactful, so save the annoying stuff for the end.

    Why the face mask outdoors, alone on a bike? Was it cold?

    • @ewannnawe
      @ewannnawe  Рік тому +1

      It was for sun protection. I had my helmet straps burnt onto my face a week or so prior just doing a 60-mile cycle in Florida.

    I understand the covering of your whole body, but why all black? That would make it way hotter, right?
