- This is a four day trip from Titusville to St. Petersburg on the Florida Coast To Coast Trail. Except for a little rain on the first day which we avoided by taking cover at the Osteen Diner, the weather was great. It was cold on our second day but we got a late start due to a mechanical issue, and it had warmed up when we finally took off. The Crank Works Bike Shop in Brooksville took care of Mike's bike and he was able to finish the ride.

I did that trail on the opposite direction from Orlando to Titusville a couple years ago and a nice trail but yeah when you get to that middle part where you’re going through the swamp, you don’t wanna be out there when it’s real hot man.
That was fun!!
Great trip very detailed I rarely watch long videos but did this one, thanks for taking the time to upload this.
Thank you.
Great video, Mario. Thanks for sharing. That northern route across the gap looked amazingly smooth and easy going. I gotta watch that part again. I think I’m going to do this trail again sometime. Beautiful.
Thanks. The only trafficky road is Rt 476 and because we left late and was on it around 10-10:30 there was little traffic.
If you do this again, let me know and maybe I could ride a day or so with you.
Great video ! Thank you for sharing !!
I almost felt as if i was there !!!
Thank you.
Great video. Wish there were zero gaps
The Brooksville gap is gone and the Rt 50 gap should be gone near the end of this year. The Orlando gap will take the longest to complete but it is nothing to worry about.
@@MarioNappa thanks. We plan on riding it this winter…recumbent trikes
@@gypsyroseboxer You won't be disappointed.
Great inspiration! I have been working my way up to longer rides so I can do something like this!
I'm pretty familiar with the day 1 section you did. Rode quite a bit over there. Also, day 2, the Withlacoochee trail section, I have a piece of property right over near there. Great highlight video! I did the "Cross Florida" ride way back in 1984. No bike trails back in those days. We started at the ocean in Cocoa Beach and ended at the Gulf of Mexico. What a ride. 13 hours straight thru. Zero training beforehand. Oh the days of being young and healthy! Thanks for sharing. 🚲
Those are very nice areas to ride.
🔥🔥🤙🏾
Mike Tyson... wow
Yeah, if there’s a sidewalk, I’m never go on the street
The roundabouts in the middle of nowhere are for emergency vehicles. Otherwise they would need to travel many miles before having access to a street.
Thank you.
you dont need calf lights for the first 50 miles. maybe at SR 50. if you're riding at night. maybe. seems kinda weird.
Great vlog on the C2C adventure. Mario, do you have a source for gpx files or route with all the connectors for your route?
The GPS files are in the description. You can use Ride With GPS and export them as gpx files. It's free.
Sorry about that. Thanks so much.
Are y'all riding E-Bikes?
In this video, yes.
@@MarioNappa Thanks, I've been thinking of getting one.
What brand tires you used for the trip?
Continental Gatorskins 32c.
Any idea when this will be completed?
The Orange County Gap is the latest at 2026. That one is not a big deal. The big one by route 50 should be done next year.
@@MarioNappa So it's ok to invite my riding pals over to go on a group ride this summer?
@@pedrofernandez8729 yes
I have no interest in a near-zero shade ride anymore... my dad died of skin cancer... but it was picturesque!
It is hard to find trails that are entirely in the shade. I too am concerned about skin cancer since I have had melanoma twice so I cover most areas and use 100 SPF sunscreen on all exposed areas. You definitely need to be concerned but there are ways to address it.
the first quarter mile in titusville is really smelly. almost made me puke. and there was an off-leash dog at the corner before the smell. aggressive pit bull.
it's pronounced aws-teen.
This is bike bell harassment. Stop it
As a frequent runner on the central Florida trails in this video, I appreciate the bell. Not enough hobby cyclists use them and cause dangerous situations. Proper cyclists understand the danger to pedestrians of their speed and weight.
