my cousin had a destination wedding in April! she said she paid a seat next to her just to let her dress sit there haha! she didn’t trust it to have it in a carry on, she hung it the whole time ☺️

DON’T ship it! It’s not worth the risk. Customs can choose to hold any package for any reason. Getting them to release it is a whole a** thing. Just carry it on with you! Then you don’t risk losing it in luggage either. You can always replace your luggage but you can’t replace your wedding dress❤
I sent a package about 2 months ago to GDL and they hold my package for like a month an a half. Customs didn't release my package and they sent it back to the US lost the money and the package never got delivered
I took mine in my carryon did not loose sight of it!!!
Best advice! Take it ON the plane with you. Airlines lose luggage ALL THE TIME. Que se pierda todo menos tu vestido😂

I had a destination wedding in Cancun and I took my dress in a carry-on. My cousin got married in Rome and got her dress where you got this 2nd dress and they helped her pack it in a carry-on luggage. I also had my comadre take her wedding dress in her hands to Cancun lol. I suggest to take them on 2 carry-on (one for each dress.) Then on another carry-on take Alex's wedding stuff, Gael's & Kaeli's.
Girlll ask the flight attendants to hold it for you in the cabin closet!!!!! I’m excited for youuuuuuu ❤️❤️
You can ask the wedding place if they can vacuum seal your dresses and it would be easier for you to pack it in your luggage and when you get to Guadalajara you can go to a wedding dress boutique and see if they can press/ steam/ iron your dresses & veils if it gets wrinkled in vacuum seal bags. Then you’ll have your wedding gowns and veils ready before your wedding day. At least take it two days before so you have it ready before your wedding day. Hope this helps😊🥰.

I think I would feel more comfortable getting them their own suitcase and putting them in the luggage with all your other luggage. At least if they get misplaced, you only have to deal with the airline. I would also call the airline and ask them for advice. If you do decide to have them shipped, I would be more worried they might get damaged or lost. If you go that route, make sure you get them insured. You might also ask the venue where you are getting married what other brides typically do. Most big wedding dresses have their own big box, so you can hang them in the box to get them from point A to point B. I would definitely have that conversation with the dress shop. If all else fails, you can always buy one off Amazon. From the sounds of it, I don’t think you are going to be able to use a carry-on for 2 dresses. You also might want to call the venue or hotel to make sure they have services that will steam them for you and be ready for you to put on the next day. I’m really excited to see what dresses you choose 😊 You are going to make a beautiful bride ❤

They have new “suitcases” where you can hang whatever clothes and it folds in 3 and turns into handbag. Would recommend that. I carried my wedding dress in the garment bag and brought it on the plane 😅 I was not taking the chance.

Hi, i work at a quince boutique. When we have girls that are going out of the county for their parties, we usually put their dress in a bag and vacuum the air out & it fits in their luggage. When doing this it’s the mom or whoever’s responsibility to find somewhere to get it steamed! Hope this helps

I live in Alaska and had my wedding in Hawaii. I would recommend buying a suitcase for your dress alone and have it as a carry on! On a special day like that.. you don't want to risk not having your dress. If you're worried about wrinkles and stuff... you can always bring it somewhere to get steamed/cleaned before the wedding day at your destination. DO NOT SHIP!
