Of the cover versions I've heard of this song, this one does the original the most justice. Dusty was the high priestess of blue-eyed soul.

Hmmmm - interesting - Dusty commenting on post punk and being a fan of Kate Bush - Dusty always kept her finger on the pulse.
However - as great as the vocal is - it definitely is a proto type with a lot of work required on the arrangement & balancing the key. Evidently this didn't transpire - more's the pity.
