Great vid! Love it! Wanna pair my Gray Mach with Atlas or Falcor mainly for carving with buttering. Appreciate your expert input on this. Thanks!
Thanks! I haven't tried that board so hard to say for sure but it seems pretty aggressive. You might like the full size disc feel of the Atlas with this but the Falcor could work too as they have pretty similar response.

Great review! Very thorough and descriptive. I’ve been riding Union Stratas on a YES. Warca 150 and they sometimes feel a little squishy and slow relative to the board, but I like the board feel with mini discs. Would you recommend the Falcor as a good match, or go with the Atlas or Force for better response?
Thanks! Yeah Falcor would be a nice upgrade from the Stratas. I'd give that a go.
@@thegoodridesnow the Falcors have turned out to be an awesome match for the Warca and really bring it to life. It felt a little washy and loose with the Stratas but now it’s a circle-carving, bump-shredding machine. Thanks again!
Great review! I'm deciding between the Falcors and the Atlas. Did you notice any calf bite with the Falcor highbacks? How much comfort do you give up in chunky or hard conditions when on the Falcor vs the Atlas?
Many thanks. It's not bad as Union put in a decent twist for a high back this stiff. I personally like Atlas better (especially on the highback) but I miss the extra shock absorption the Falcors have. If you want something in between the New Force might be the better call. What do you recommend for a Jones Ultra Mountain Twin board?
Atlas and Falcor work very well with the JMT but you could easily do Force or Force Classic.

Response is similar so it depends on if you want more shock absorption and an easier flex underfoot with the Falcor or better adjustability and a more damp feel underfoot with the Atlas.

Probably something like the Strata but the Atlas or Force could work as well.

Both can work. It depends on which calls to you more. Atlas makes the board feel more damp and Falcor makes it flex easier.

Falcor is a great choice for the GA. So is the Atlas and Force. It all comes down to what appeals to you more in the comparison.
Getting a never summer Valhalla 2024 and I’m torn between the union falcor, union atlas or the flux xf . Mostly doing powder chutes , trees on foggy days and the occasional groomer . Any recommendations?
I would go Atlas. That is probably the best fit for your specs. Falcor is a great fit too and could work if it calls to you more. I would say the XF is a distant 3rd just because it has almost no dampening or shock absorption. You will feel it a lot more with the XF's even in the conditions you plan to ride.

How u compare them to Cartel X est , im getting second board Lib Tech Orca and i have Deep Thinker so i want to sell Cartel X est and have one for all binding who will match up my Orca and DeepThinker so do you recommend Falcor or something else ?
Cartel X EST have a more smooth turning experience but they are less responsive and have far less adjustability. I think the Falcor will do better with the Orca but both will work. I think Falcor, Atlas, Rome Katanas, Black Label's, Nitro Phantom + or even Team Pro's are a great fit with thoes 2 boards. Just comes down to personal preference. Yes very well. I personally like the Atlas and Force a little better but the Falcor is really close.

Prob go med to fit more normal width boards.
I own the 2020 Falcor and love them. The best bindings I've ever owned in 20 years of riding.
I completely concur with your review of the 2020 version. Is the new version (The 2022 version or newer) worth buying? Do they offer an improvement in dampness, response, comfort etc?
In brief, Is it worth selling the old ones and buying a newer pair ?

Great to hear, and stoked you are stoked, Reza. So it's a very similar ride, and the 2022 had a minor upgrade. I would only get it if you want a little more damp ride and high back you can rotate.

I've always Wanted to try the Atlas. Should I stick to the Falcors, or will the atlas offer more response?
You trade dampness for shock absorption so if you are ok with that maybe Atlas.

Atlas 10 times out of 10 because the Falcor doesn't work with the set back inserts for powder on the Flagship.

You said that the mini-disk (Falcor bindings in this case) doesn't work very well with set-back boards? Why is that? Thanks
They don't work at all. Set Back Inserts are the powder oriented inserts that are 40mm apart and this only works with inserts 20mm apart. For example look at the set back inserts on the YES Standard or Jones Flagship or DWD Wizard Stick.
@@thegoodridesnow I can't find on any of these companies' websites how far apart are the inserts. I thought that nearly all boards, except Burton, has standard 20mm. apart inserts.
Yes all are 20mm but not set back inserts for powder. Those are 40mm and only work with full sized discs. Look at the pics of the boards I mentioned
Looks like you couldn’t mount these on the farthest back “setback” positions but they’d work in the next set forward - correct? So as long as you’re ok with being one notch forward you could make it work. Just stick to steeper terrain on a pow day? Lol

What about k2 Excavator ? Will Union Falcor fit well with that board ?
Thanks! Yes the Falcor will turn the Excavator well. It's a very responsive binding. I like the Atlas or Atlas Pro better for the Excavator a little better just because the full size disc will stiffen up the ride a little more so it will handle better at higher speeds and in uneven snow. The Falcor is no slouch though so if it appeals to you go for it.

Im kind Of a Big guy - 193 cm , around 105-110 kg (but not fat :) - quite good shaoe For 42 years old guy :) ).
Got an Excavator 162 and was lookig For comfortable but precise Because i soen 95% Of my time doing on piste/groomer.
I’m not a hard charging maniac - rather trying to be focused on technique Of riding. Going nice and smoothly on the edge - exploring the. Resort.
So would you suggest to switch Falcors For Union Atlas ?
Or…. Maybe buy Nidecker Supermatic ? Those ones are also interesting to me …..
I think you are fine. Those are great bindings and will match up well with the Excavator. No need to exchange or return then. Check our Supermatic review. It's a good binding but you need to see the positives and negatives to decide if it's right for you over the Falcor.

Sounds sick and will be pairing with my new lib tech rasman to make it a little more forgive while still extremely responsive
