      I watched this $788,000 hand twice more. Bottom line-Mariano whispered to Double M that he had Aces. Technically you cannot tell another player your hand-during the hand. However, this is a loose high dollar game and they don’t adhere to the rules as tight.
      Mariano knows the rules, and as soon as he was caught, Mariano justified his action by saying “it didn’t matter”. Which is true, but he also knew the hand could have been cancelled on that technicality. The dealer further confused the matter bc she didn’t hear the whisper. So she just repeated the prior words she heard Mariano say.
      Yang wanted to play both sides. He could have folded and lost only $6,000. He could have had the hand cancelled. But he went all-in anyway hoping to win, but also planning to get the hand cancelled if he couldn’t win.

    • @AtownOriginal
      @AtownOriginal 7 місяців тому +9

      @@majorburke9735So many things wrong with your comment. Let's start with, "Yang could have folded and just lost 6k". Yang had already raised to 55k before Mariano made the comment, so there was never a point where he could have just folded and lost 6k after the comment. Second, the hand would never get canceled. That's the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long time. Worst case scenario is that production comes in and discloses what Mariano actually said, in which case, Yang could have the option to fold still, although he would not get his 55k back. Lastly, the speculation that, "Yang could just call, knowing if he lost, the hand would be canceled". I've already explained why the hand wouldn't be canceled but clearly you're way wrong because Yang never tried to get his money back. Why would you go to such great lengths to write a comment when almost none of it is factually accurate? Have you ever worked as a floor person in a casino/poker room? You don't cancel hands hardly ever, even in the case of a misdeal. Cancelation of hands is not a thing in the United States. I say that assuming you may be from the UK, given your spelling of the word "cancelled".

    • @markrobertbb
      @markrobertbb 6 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, never heard of a hand getting cancelled ever. Just doesn't work that way.

    • @AveryB.0
      @AveryB.0 6 місяців тому +1

      @@AtownOriginalI'm curious what do you do during a misdeal if not cancel the hand and give everyone their starring chips back?

    • @AtownOriginal
      @AtownOriginal 6 місяців тому +2

      @averyb.476 It depends entirely what the cause of the misdeal is. If a card is exposed, if it's not the first card for either the big blind or the small blind, you continue to deal the hand and then replace that card at the end....the exposed card becomes the burn card. In the case of an actual misdeal, where a player was skipped, you return the cards to the dealer and have them reshuffle. However, in the case of something like this, which was not a misdeal, you call the floor and any information that was given privately becomes public and the hand plays out as normal. Once "a reasonable amount of action has occurred", that is how it is stated in the handbook, you can no longer negate the hand. If a player is not dealt in for some reason and doesn't notice until after a reasonable amount of action has occurred, they're just not in the hand and the hand proceeds as normal.
