What I like about Hit is he's a callback to a point in Dragon Ball before everyone had planet erasing beams and balls, when the fights were about actual skill and not just raw power. He even monologues about this during the first tournament to Goku telling him that he actually has to *learn* from his fights and can't just scream and get stronger.
Then proceeds to yell and get stronger against kaioken ssb goku lol

Sure in the manga he didn't yell to get stronger out of nowhere (which is a definite plus dont get me wrong), but both fights ultimately devolve into power triumphant over any techniques ot abilities.

He didn't even just yell to get stronger in the anime my dude. He literally says the yelling was just because he wanted to see what it felt like. He was actually growing stronger naturally as he pushed his own limits.
DOPE BREAKDOWN! One more add-on to his Ki/S counter. If you do it in the air, instead of countering with a punch, he just vanishes behind your opponent. If you're on the ground though, he counters with a punch like you showed. EASILY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER SO FAR!!

Funny, but tri beam is a dubism, it's actually kikoho (Energy control canon) which has nothing to do with triangles.
I never cared much about Hit but find him so cool now; this game makes an awesome job of giving him a very distinct fighting style and attitude.
Hit fights and acts how he does in the show tho...
I know, but seeing him fight against other characters highlights that even more.
Yes, I meant they reproduced all of his traits and gestures so faithfully and that makes him stand out more among the other characters.
Havoc Bringer You should check out his xenoverse moveset then. He has a move that hits the opponent and takes them to his pocket dimension or wtv and beats you up. For everyone else watching you guys are just standing there doing nothing.

Now that you did Black and Hit, we NEED Beerus. The big 3 of super, basically. His moveset is one of the best and impressive of the game :) and we need to see how hakai works....
I was a bit worried about the diversity in the playstyles of the characters in this game but Hit looks great. Beerus seems super interesting as well. I just hope that they are not to hard to play and it feels rewarding to do the hard stuff instead of playing the regular Saiyan...

kid buu, black to an extent, gotenks, ginyu have unique styles too...... supersayian blue vegeta us a close range fighter who doesnt rely on ki attacks like ssj.....
this game is dope. the more i learn the better it gets
i think that is the good thing about this game. for people who just like dragonball, they can play the saiyans easily and do decently, but if you want to get into that top tier, you can learn how to play characters like hit and beerus who are very rewarding if you play them right.
Hit looks sick! Unfortunately though I've never been very good with counter characters... but you stated he felt also like Akihiko from P4AU so I may give him a shot anyway xD

Never judge video game character balancing by their canon strength in the show, lol. Totally separate things most of the time. Yamcha has been mechanically good in a quite a few Dragon Ball games. They don't balance video game mechanics on the canon because that usually would fuck all semblance of balancing or making other characters meaningful to play, lol. This is usually/generally the case for all video games that copy any existing source material.
I definitely feel like Hit’s Ki Blast should have been this lethal punch shockwave he has been shown to utilize in the series, such as when he supposedly killed Goku, and also used it on Pride Trooper Kunishi (I believe his name is). Don’t get me wrong, I think the long-range punch attack we saw you use early on in the video may be that specific technique, but I originally imagined it to be for his Ki Blast button compared to the counter stance. Not like that’s a bad thing, mind you. I guess the point of doing that was to further show newcomers that Hit was all about physical attacks, and rarely ever used Ki-based attacks in the series, which was what made him so unique.

Dragon ball will always have a special place in my heart. The over the top posturing, the drawn out dialogues, the constipated "I just shit my pants" expressions of the characters, and of course the eyebrows, or lack thereof.

The character stressed in the show to be all about skill and improving your techniques rather than just "getting stronger", is a highly technical and hard to play character. It's perfect.

Anonymous User he basically has the ability to freeze time and step inside an alternate dimension. The shattering glass is him striking in the paused time dimension and jumping back into ours.
PopularNobody I mean in that special where Hit stands still and the crystals spread across the ground, How does the opponent get hit?, Also when he goes into his dimension, what are those beams he attacks with?
