To everyone who's interested in using Hit; I've found that characters with lock-down assists, namely Gotenks and Vegeta work wonders with him.

@Omen Malo SSJ, but that was when you couldn't Super Dash or reflect through his assist.
Kid Buu is a good lockdown assist, if that's what your looking for, I'd personally recommend Goku SSJ/Black as they also let him combo from Tides of Time's Light follow up midscreen and Dragon Rush in the corner
now 4 years later, my team is STILL SSGB Vegeta, kid gohan, hit.
SSGB Vegeta blue good combo maker, follow up with 2 ki blasts after the combo mid air, call in gohan's c assist, teleports to the enermy attacks and hits them downwards, then Hit's A assist, combo together SO WELL if timed correctly!

If you hold the RT/R2 during Death Blow. He uses all 7 bars(if available) and deals a lot of Damage.
This is why i usually keep him (or tien) on my lasr slot. Saving up y0ur meter opens up a NUCLEAR option. Tien is better for beginners as his attack and kit are more adaptive than Hit, but hit has far better range than tien and doesnt lose health when dumping meter

@TGN Anime (Globku) Hit's Death Blow super is the invisible ki blasts that he uses. "Killed" Goku with it and used it during the tournament of power.

Man he is definitely my favorite character on the game iv been killing arcade mode with him and online ranked matches
I just noticed that what wasn't mentioned was that if you use quarter circle RT ("Death Blow" attack that was featured in the video at 6:50), and hold the RT, he will expend ALL of his Ki bars to do more damage with each Ki bar.
I don't really know the exact numbers, and if it's worth, for example, using a 3 bar Death Blow over the "I Keep Improving" (his level 3 Super), but it is worth it if you want to finish off an enemy with a ranged attack, or if you wanna do a ranged attack, but aren't sure if it will be blocked, and don't wanna get into their range with his level 3 Super.
God TGN is underrated he's out here putting out the best breakdowns way better then any of Max's
Max had a limited amount of time with the new characters for one day at a special event :/
Except they've had the same amount of time with the game if Max hasn't had more it's just a fact his guides are ok but they also don't have the effort and presentation this does. Nothing against him just saying he isn't the dood to watch for guide's. Globku is imo helpful for all levels of players and advanced players (to a certain degree)
Smark Wrestling/Christian Styles found him helpful for one area

I'd much rather go to Max than tgn but Tgn is simple to learn from for me.

I got a couple of hours in with him and it would take entire segments to explain the insurance and outs of this character. I'd say go to combo training to get a foundation.

In DBS suppose to be an unblockable Ki enhance fist wave strike that potentially oneshot anyone he aims it at.
Really it's a long range focused heartstrike that basically stops the heart from pumping due to the shock. Goku survived the attack by shooting a ki blast into the sky and hitting himself restarting his own heart.
Also do you watch Super? Cause that attack you didn’t know was from the episode where he was sent to assassinate Goku

HIT HYPE. I love stance cancel characters since playing Jill, and amateratsu in marvel 3.
Dan Seilheimer Stance cancel characters tend to have a lower win rate % overall due to the skill level required to master them. Takes a lot of time and losses. Because of this knowledge I won't be playing Hit as my main.
I use Hit. Man I struggled at first but the pay-off now is so worth it. Hit's gotten me out of so many binds its not even funny. Plus a few of 3 vs 1 come-backs to his name. I like to play mind-games and rely on cross-ups, so Hit is the perfect character and team anchor for me.

You can make the death blow consume all your energy if you press R2 again. So technically, as hit you have a level 7 super.

Kinda sad my favorite hit tech wasnt in this. If you manage to punish a super dash with a crouching heavy, you can bring them back to the ground with tides of time > light light light which can then combo off of most beam assists or a super

You missed his death blow thing if you hold it down he takes pretty much all of your health bar

Like what approach should I take when first learning this guy as an absolute beginner to the 3v3 style fighter? After watching this I don't feel like I have a good grasp of what I'm looking for in neutral. Does this guy have safe pokes? Seems like every attack is a big commitment. If anyone wants to give me some beginner goals with this guy and break it down like I'm 5 I'd appreciate it : )

hit is a good leader find 2 other characters whos assist complement hit's rushdown/punish style for example goku black his kamehameha assist applies pressure and you can move through the beam and get closer to the opponent
ClickDecision I'll tag this comment so I can get some pointers to. Also he does have a safe poke, it's at 6:47 "Death Blow". Everything else is punishable
Beerus and Black synergies are ridiculous with Hit. Especially with his mix ups. Pretty much any assist with a screen beam is perfect.
Yea I have some hours under my belt with him now. Rush down and beam assist are his synergy. I take yamcha most of the time honestly as my two guy. With hit it's all about mind games and mix ups. So high difficulty.
His safe pokes are as most are his auto combos, however as with everyone these combos at the end leave everyone open for punish. Need to learn to utilize delay inputs which mean wait a bit then start up your combo again. With hit luckilly this comes easy. His down 2/M is an automatic delay because it's slower. But again it is unsafe alot of hit is unsafe and that's why he is a mix up character he can mask his unsafe strings with his dashes.
Ahhh now it's making sense
Start a string if the opponent blocks them all cancel into a qsb4- if the opponent tried to punish guess what they are open now and your 2/M dashes in. Is it and go for your 22 string.
I'd explain more because it's exciting to talk about hit mechanics. Just let me know if y'all wanna know more or of y'all know some stuff I dont
I'm using Goku Black and Trunks and it feels pretty good. The only problem is remembering not to try and sweep with Hit, because it is really brutally slow. It's the price he pays for the left/right mixups. In terms of counterplay, I think he works well against the bigger characters because his range can mess 'em up when they try and close.
At 6:48 when I try to use death blow it uses all my bars and does an INSANE amount of damage. How do I make it only use one bar?
They patched it out this video was recorded in season 1 and you weren't able to use all of your bars

Ricardo Manzanares Personally, I see no problem starting with him. I started with him and I'm having 0 problems getting the mechanics down easily. If you've played MvC or Tekken then you shouldn't have a problem starting with Hit in my opinion.

AK reaper Your spamming the buttons too much then. Also auto combos are there to stay since they add unique combos per character.

You missed the fact that hits level 1 special can be enhanced by pressing r2 multiple times at the cost of a level up to 7 levels,, it’s insane... if you enhance up to level 7 you can do over 60% damage in one blow
Hit is sick asf in this game but ultra instinct Goku is something else besides I'm tryna find the dream team to put together and as badly as I wanna put hit on the team he just don't fit anywhere in the line up my team right now is Jiren ssg Goku and ultra instinct goku
