What a great review, compiles a few of the best options for this focal length so well! Just what I was looking for, thank god for creators like yourself!!
Thank you so much for your nice words.
Great stuff, Richard! Looks cool.
hey Thanks Shane!
when ttartisan 56mm f 1.8 e mount will be available in india please tell me sir??
Sorry I do not know. You can check the official website from link above and see when its available.. then it should be available in India soon after that
Been looking forward to this review! What would be your opinion of the TTA 56mm versus the new Viltrox 56mm f1.7?
thanks! Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to do side by side comparison between these two lenses to compare the image quality..
I did this review quite a few months ago before I receive the Viltrox.. but the Viltrox end up released first so I couldn't include the TTArtisan in that review either.
But i can tell you I believe Viltrox still has better lens flare control, but i also like TTartisan's more solid build quality and lens hood design
@@TheRealRichardWong Thanks for the reply and explanation, I appreciate it!
Perfect! I love the ttartisan 27mm 2.8 as well so this will be a perfect addition. I wish they would add a lens cap for the metal lens hood (metal or rubber doesn't matter) because i will keep it on all the time probaply and will need to find something fitting to cover it. The old box design was nicer in my opinion but if this new design will help them maintain the good price i am all for it. Cheers🎉
yes agree, it would be good if there is a rubber lens hood. But you could install an UV filter as an alternative, I saw TTArtisan has listed what filter would fit on their website (check my link in description above)
@@TheRealRichardWong Yes that's what i am going to do :)
Good review. I think I like this a bit more than the viltrox 56 1.7. At least the lens hood is much better than Viltrox which is way too shallow
yes i wish the Viltrox 56 1.7 has a deeper lens hood.
Build quality (metal build, metal square lens hood) is excellent on the TTA. But we should see a 1:1 comparsion, which lens is being better. The Viltrox is excellent for the price, outstanding.
What about the Sigma 56 1.4?
I think it's the best of the third party 56mm APSC lenses
Sorry, I haven't got a chance to compare with the Sigma.
The Sigma is a different price point to these budget alternatives.
Wish the TTArtisan had been compared to Viltrox's 56mm f1.7 instead. They both cost the same anyway. 😅
Unfortunately I did this review quite a few months ago way before I received the Viltrox.. that's why i compared with the Viltrox 1.4 and Sirui.
But when I receive the Viltrox 1.8, this lens's release day is before TTArtisan so I couldn't include the TTArtisan in that review either. :(
*TTArtisan - bring on a 23mm F1.8 into the same metal design with square lens hood for Fujifilm X-mount ! I'd buy it asap !* Just work out on better, sharper corners, and even better flare resistance (lens multicoating)
Good idea I would love to see it too
Is there word on when this lens will be available to purchase?
I believe should be available anytime, i've just added a link to their webstore to the video description above.
Thanks so much!
