Brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing. I remember asking for this video! I'm going to pin a vine of my pothos right away. Yay, no cutting, no cups of water and waiting for roots to grow. So cool!
So glad it was helpful! Thank you for asking your question! I love this method of propagation because there's no cutting involved, or the risk of losing a few cuttings! :D
Thank you for posting these videos. I look forward to learning a lot from you. I am new to plants and propagating. I have gotten some really nice roots in water using drops that were recommended to me. 🤞🏻 my transitions to soil will be successful as well. I am currently trying to find which soil is best for pothos. I have several different kinds of plants. A local plant store unfortunately closed, and I purchased a variety on sale. What I would like to know is, how long should the pins stay in the soil to help with root growth. I have pinned a pothos plant (ty for telling us about the rust, I have to change my pins). I have the nodes in the soil the best I can. But, I'm not sure when I can remove the pins. I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you!
Great video! I have a few questions: Will every node that is next to soil sprout roots? Since you are not cutting anything, will they all just continue to grow off the same vine and you just keep wrapping it around? Or when the new roots grow, do they sprout new growth points too? Thank you!!
Hello! Thank you for watching! To answer your question, yes, the viable nodes that are in contact with the soil will grow a root into the soil and start a whole new plant, even without cutting it. :) I hope that answers your questions...?
Hi thank you for sharing I like it that you're down to earth and you explained everything very well and I never spent over $30 for plant and when I water my plants now I sprayed them with neem oil and they do look better thank you for your honesty I have a great blessed day
I have one vine that's maybe 9 feet long & naked (leafless) on the bottom half. What would be the best way to fix that?☺️🙆♀️🙇♀️I'd have to get a pot that's a lot bigger if I need to pin it all down, which I can, but if there's a better way that might be better.
If you pin down a vine that has multiple nodes that take root will they create new additional vines? Or do I need to snip them after rooting to make more trailing vines?
Dear Judy, my concern is whenever i cut and put back the cutting into soil is how is the survival for the fresh cutting since i always let the plant completely dry before i water. Meanwhile the fresh cutting need the soil consistent moist for 1/2 weeks,
Hello! This is actually a very legit concern, and thank you for sharing! It's definitely a good point. This is why I prefer this no-cut method of propagation. :) I did the cut and plant straight back into the pot kind of propagation with the monstera siltepecana in this video, and really only watered it once. I think it would work for a plant that has slow drying soil, but yeah, you make a good point. Thanks for watching!
It could be a whole array of reasons why your plant is turning yellow, but as @mamaqueenhouseplant has said, you can save your plant by propagating cuttings from it. :)

So will roots actually grow from the node pinned to the soil?
Thanks for sharing

Can I also do that to my philodendron Micans
Yes, absolutely you can! :) I've done it with mine also. :)

Each node will self propagate into a new vine, you don't need to snip them between the nodes once rooted. Super easy! :)
Hi Judi! Could you please link the video where you originally chopped and propped/planted back into the pot your siltipicana?
Hi Christina! Sure thing! Here it is :) ua-cam.com/video/sUaVrKTQewA/v-deo.html

@@ThatFoliageLife indeed no-cut method is less headache hahaha
How long does it take to root once pinned?
My cebu blue pothos is turning yellow i don't know what to do
Cebu blue can be saved in water prop, ❤️❤️❤️ i’ve done that before 😂 good luck to you 🥳
