Does woody watch the fat electrian? That might be his only redeeming quality.
I think so. Quack bang.
Fat electrician does a great job of telling this story
The operation room has a good animation aswell on the 1 day war with Iran
Woody even mentioned his video and called him “some UA-camr”
they should check out the USS liberty
As the video went on I realized Woody was reiterating a fat electrician video
I noticed as soon as he said “Proportional”
I recommend that these guys read up on the USS America, a carrier that was being retired and purposely sunk to test the durability of it and eventually its successor The Nimitz class
It was one tough bitch apparently
It never did sink from the 4 weeks of explosives. They had to send a crew on board to scuttle it manually.
The aircraft carrier its self isn't tested like you think. It's the aircraft we put up there that show it's power. All an aircraft carrier is is a floating runway we can take anywhere in the world and deploy a massive amount of air power from.
They can sink all sorts of vessels in the water as well
Exactly
They also have big anti air and usually some torpedo missiles. Sometimes huge artillery
They also have some good ass crabs and lobsters.
They are almost never alone either, it’s usually a carrier strike group which has a cruiser and destroyers, along with over 50 jets that can all drop guided ordnance. One strike group has more naval/air power than entire countries and the US has 11.
They are floating military bases.
I mean it beats not having an air field nearby
Liked when Woody said, "A three at sea is like nine at home." It has a nice ring to it.
I feel like woody would be a little more like, it’s not gay while underway
@@rollastudentit’s not gay once you leave the bay.
So. Am I crazy or did Nik TheFatElectrician cover this very similar target just a couple weeks ago……………
I’m sure that’s the video he’s talking about
I bet Woody thinks these carriers are great for "pincher" manuevers lol
We are basically the only country with a true blue water navy, where we can park a carrier fleet at the front door of any nation and supply said fleet with fuel, munitions, and food, basically indefinitely.
*Sigh* for all of you that don't know an aircraft carrier is...
What? Don't know an aircraft is what?
I know aircraft carrier is
Sigh for all who cant make a sentence
Do you even grammar bro?
All these fools who dont get ur joke must be casuals
Hold up, why dont we just build a real big helicopter that all of our boats loa into, and smaller planes... ya know?
Wouldn’t maneuver fast enough to be anything but a big easy target.
You mean the one from GTA V?
I dont think i'm going to listen to these 3 guys about whether or not Are Aircraft Carriers Still Effective in War?
Is a mobile airport/city useful? DUH.
Yeah they are . There moblie city’s in the ocean . How is that not useful
Ok look. They damaged our ship. The task was to destroy one oil rig. They gave them warnings to leave for about 15 minutes. They didn’t leave one person got gun an anti air turret. And as Kyle said they were vaporized instantly. They blew up the rig and as they were there a ship was coming. They warned the ship to turn around. It agreed but kept coming. Fired on them and they destroyed it. Rinse and repeat a few more times and another ship was coming.
Best part is… this ship was a Russian ship who just wanted to watch the battle.
1st
racist
@@ArrowArchitect yes I am
Woody sucks so much
They played multiple NCAA basketball games on aircraft carriers
Tanks, ships and even airplanes are obsolete with today's precision guided weapons.
well if you planes are important then you need an aircraft carrier
The Nimitz class aircraft carrier is basically the most deadly platform that's ever existed. I kinda understand Woody's point of view, but the Navy is what allows us to control the world. You can't imagine the power of one single carrier strike group. We would need 3 to defeat the entire Chinese navy.
You're forgetting the Ford class that's now starting to replace Nimitz. So second most deadly.
Are there any of the Ford class in service right now?@@I_Am_Kye
woody has some of the most smooth brain takes regardless of the topic
Even the most advanced bombers in the u.s. Air Force cannot run Global operations without midair refueling..
No bomber can?
@@willshields4480 For long term purposes, no. B-1 lancers can go up to 9300 miles before refueling; in comparison to an aircraft carrier that runs on nuclear energy that will basically run for 30 to 50 years before it is decommissioned..
Once its payload is depleted it's done, and no longer has purpose to fly either.
Glad to hear them repeat the fat electricians video word for word and not give recognition!
I like to imagine a hard fought battle in San Francisco in a invasion scenario like China or something. before the navy boys from San Diego show up and fuckin body them the image of the entire bay filled with navy ships going to work would be the wildest sight
The ability to transport aircraft and have a landing/refueling stage anywhere in the world is immensely valuable. Especially with how valuable it is to obtain air superiority in itself in modern warfare.
China has the biggest military buildup since Germany in the 30s
Kyle I bet a sailor would take you on base and show you a carrier! It’s in norfolk Virginia. Pre covid they used to do tours of the base. My dad was stationed on enterprise it was epic the hanger area were they keep the plane is soooooo big
South Korea has pretty decent ship building capabilities from what I understand
Fun fact: all Nimitz class super carriers are nuclear-powered. I can essentially Park a mobile battle station off the coast of any country in the world.
LOL
Damn! I never thought of that. In wargame submarine nuke beats aircraft carrier fleet.
Woody watches The Fat Electrician.
Best part was the one Russian boat that came near by and directly said they had just come to watch
Our submarines are quite impressive. I think its more impressive than the air craft carriers.
0:45 Actually woody you completely 100% wrong like usual. They are both gyroscopically stabilized. They have to be to survive the massive storms they go through.
Only to level the deck... the ships do roll and it's evident here in this video ua-cam.com/video/GVT6kBgKWqM/v-deo.htmlsi=jF-3FSom9pxT_ndG
They work fine because they draw unparalleled focus away from everything else
lol woody watches a fat electrician video and now hes an expert
When the usa needs help uk is the first call
All navy girls are 6+ I've never seen an ugly 1
I love how woody's sources are just "eh some guy said it on youtube and I believed him."
The fat electrician is the source
Buzz Killington is his name
Accurate
Like two or more hypersonic missiles can destroy a aircraft carriers That is the truth. You need to do more research my friends.
There was an old saying since World War 2 that says: An Aircraft Carrier is a Heavyweight Boxer with a Glass Jaw.
A single hit by a very fast, very modern Russian made Hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile will surely destroy it in a single blow and sink it quick.
What we know about Russian missiles is that they are completely incapable of penetrating 40 year old American anti air tech.
That is not a saying. 3 times the Japanese damaged the uss Enterprise to the point they declared it sunk only for the Uss Enterprise to show back up earning it the nickname The Grey Ghost. American warship are known for being very hard to sink. Unlike Russian ships which can be sunk by a simple storm.
I mean the power plants for these things are some of the most advanced engines in the world they're essentially nuclear reactors..
Aircraft carriers are too big too rock
Get rid of the dorky B-Roll Footage.
There was an old saying since World War 2 that says: An Aircraft Carrier is a Heavyweight Boxer with a Glass Jaw.

@@zee-fr5kw Please understand that Patriot missiles COULD NOT INTERCEPT the Hypersonic missile because Patriot missile is slower in speed with MAX speed of Mach 3.5 while the Russian Hypersonic Missile Kinzhal can reach up to MAX speed of Mach 10. In that case the Patriot missile is useless and will NOT ABLE TO HIT and the aircraft carrier is a sitting duck helpless.
@@biboyumandar1538A Patriot system literally took out Kinzhal missiles in Ukraine earlier this year. There's not a guarantee of interception, but we've already got proof that it's not the invincible weapon that Russia has claimed it to be.
@@TheGenericDavis thats obviously FAKE NEWS. That patriot system is too old and too slow it was invented in the 70's meanwhile the Kinzhal is a hypersonic missile speeds Mach 7+ invented in this decade. That patriot system sucks as it was proven to fail a lot of times during the gulf war of 90's when it failed to intercept the scud missiles of iraq. I hope you guys straighten your facts !!!
Wow, okay.. so here's a question, when does a super Carrier ever need to refuel for any operation?? In short, they don't. They essentially run on nuclear propulsion which would last up to 30-50 years last time I checked..
Still need logistics and the navy only has a dozen cargo ships that can keep up with the CSG crew needs to eat and munitions
@@ldIezz sure, but what are the better alternatives. They do need to re-supply, but there are adequet fleets out in the ocean to be able to rotate operations accordingly..more would be better.
And those carriers aren't alone either, they're typically accompanied 2 Cruisers, 3 destroyers and or frigates, one auxiliary, and sometimes a sub.. that's a lot of Firepower.
@@SuperIcarusman its a ton of fire power one CGS can launch 700 VLS cruise missiles every 24 hrs, its just that in a major war logistics would be targeted and most of the cargo ships today that the navy uses aren't fast enough, A YT channel Not What You Think has a good video on naval logistics and the future of it
Yeah, by no means are ineffective though. Carriers are the core of any CSG, and consider half or more of the planet is water, it's a logistical advantage you'd want to keep.
A $100 drone can easily take an aircraft carrier out 😂
Bahahahaha you’re a sped! 😂
Oh oh! Better retire the fleet! Sheesh
uh oh class, retard alert 🚨
You’re an idiot
if that was the case, the us navy would not exist.
god i hate woody
