Sand the teeth, end with a fine grip around 4 to 600. Polish again. Then paint with clear. I did this on bumpers for my 48 Chevy.... Cool cool and great job on your first body swap,,,,,,

And then to put the body on a modern chassis and drive train. Great idea! So I see the Camry mid size and the bigger Ply body and think "How's he going to pull that off?" And episode after episode you demonstrated exactly how. It is so entertaining to see how you conquer challenge after challenge. Great work.
I think you should go with a grill mesh look like you were talking about, not that it looks bad that way but I think it will look better thats all.. It does look good though either way..
My hood opens forward welded the hood latch on the fire wall then ran a cable from the front grille to the latch with 2 pines on the front so the hood so it Can open and a short strap both sides so the hood don’t open to far.

You may want to check out Halfassedcustoms. He will lay one panel over another and cut both so that the cuts line up and you don't have to worry if it's straight. Might be the way to do your front fender. I've learned lots from him. Best wishes to you and your family.

I already messed the hood up a bit, but it will work for now, until my body skills improve.
