Hence my longtime phrase of, "experience nature" Thank you for this comment. I often get dinged for videos being too long. But I truly believe you can't take an experience and cram it into a 5 min video. Gonna have a smile on my face today because someone got it!
You mentioned observing an entrance to a lava tube. Is this accessible? I have a NOAA archeological study planned that includes ROV sampling of Lava in a tube at 100 meters. If accessible, I could apply for a permit to study it.
@@stevehaggitt4403 these openings to the tubes are not large enough to enter even with my ROV. I've found at least 50 now throughout the lake. The only one that's currently growing in size that's noticeable, goes down several feet, then heads west, but it's still not large enough to enter. And it's east we need to look.
@@lahondafolk4334 no, it's not a replacement for the V6. They have i believe 2 versions of the V6 and a few others. This one is just the most affordable one. It does a great job as I've used it to get incredible video this year. Depending on how you're running it, I'm able to get about 1.5 hrs dive time. Recharge takes about an hour or so Depending on how low it was. I normally bring it back at about 20% left in the event I need to do a big backtrack to unhook the line. It's only happened once, but. If money was not an object, they make one with swappable batteries and SD card swappable as well. But it's quite a bit more.
@lahondafolk4334 exactly. My thoughts are that maybe later I could step up, but this is working great. I do wish I had the sonar module for the fancy one to help with locating 3000 year old trees im looking for. But that ROV plus module is vastly more expensive and well out of my range.

I ordered the evo one. The V6s has about 50% more battery life but 60% more in price.
