I enjoy doing photo and video work above and below water from my customized Kayaks of lakes of the Northwest. I've designed all my camera rigs for all my Kayaks that I deploy as needed for different locations.
I was honored to be picked to do the photo and video work from land, air and underwater for a Weather channel Documentary.
I'm always looking for new lakes with clarity to film underwater and above at surface level and in the air. I also have dogs and review products related to my interests as well as DIY inventions for things I need or build.
I also have many Aquariums and showcase fish and tanks.
I also now have been gifted a new Kayak from Feel Free kayaks. A new 3 waters Big Fish 103 Pedal drive that will really help in my filming and photo work for videos.

I do believe I heard Amber crunching on her cookie. Her eyes & gentle wag of her tail said, 'Thanks,Dad'. 💞
I didn't make it over to Clear lake this year, hopefully next season. You stayed in my favorite cabin! Thank you for the nice video 😊
@@kathrynzendner9929 I think I got in 10 or 11 runs this year. I love #3 due to hauling my huge kayak with gear. The cabin is small, but big enough for me and my gear. But being that close to the slip with 400+ lbs of kayak and gear is pretty important. I'm getting old..lol. Hope to see ya there next season. If ya see me, please say hi!
Happy Veterans Day! Looking forward to experiencing nature again!👍🏼🤙🏼
Thank you! Got back and put up 2 videos
It was pleasure meeting you that very day at the lake and thanks for putting us in your video @Amberdog Production.
@@mikeythapa5950 the honor was all mine dude. I'm still grinning about that day. Really blew me away. Thanks for watching man. I think having you guys in the video was the highlight. It had to be there.
It was nice to see you appreciate the Subaru all wheel drive and handling! I used to work jobs in the middle of nowhere doing house calls driving an Impreza. With that sedan, I navigated blizzards on mountain passes at night. Never missed a day of work, no matter the weather. I upgraded to the Crosstrek Wilderness and it does the job even more capably.
@@rezlogan4787 I'm still running it daily. And have used it in many videos this year, and to get to my locations. As a matter of fact, it's gonna be put to the test yet again this next week. And I'm confident it will yet again pass muster. I do love this thing. Thank you sooo much for watching! I love to see comments. Really pulls it together for me.
Thanks for the amazing videos.
@@larry7463 Thank you! Makes me feel great people enjoy them!!
Unfortunately with the roof tent your gas mileage is not going to get any better, even with just the cross bars your gas mileage is affected, but when you have fun and been happy , who cares right!! Nice ride, cool videos!!🇺🇸😎
@@davidgarmendia7252 agreed. This is one of the reasons I wanted a hard shell RTT. It's 6" thick. So the lower wind resistance with the lower MPG of the wilderness editions was the best combo I figured i could pull off. And your right. It's been soooo worth it.
That is so beautiful! Awesome equipment and location! Your videos make me feel connected to nature without actually being there. I love it!👍🏼🤙🏼
@@TroyBower-l5k best comment of the year. One of my founding ideas for my channel is to do my best for the viewer to feel and be a part of the video. Hence my longtime phrase of, "experience nature" Thank you for this comment. I often get dinged for videos being too long. But I truly believe you can't take an experience and cram it into a 5 min video. Gonna have a smile on my face today because someone got it!
Great videos, loving your nature and GOAT videos! Living the dream for sure! 🤙🏼
@@TroyBower-l5k Thanks so much. It seems I just keep finding more questions. And I'll say, the little GOAT has most certainly earned it's place in the barn this year. It was the star child all season other than when I had to use the truck to haul the E bike as well as the kayak trailer. Other than that trip. It's all been done with the crosstrek Wilderness. And it's done an incredible job.
@@Amberdogproductions I just bought one last week mainly because I love driving those roads too. But Damn, great adventures and videos! Thanks for sharing with us..
@@TroyBower-l5k I love the interaction in the comments. Thank you so much. I have no doubt you will love yours too. I sure would recommend at the very least the transmission skid plate though. I did a video where I got a 3 piece full set put on. When you see how exposed the trans is, it will startle you. It did me. And given how I use mine, it's a must have. Guessing you saw that segment jumping up onto lava in the undiscovered country video.
Where did you get the bar that you put on the back hatch would love to add that to mine

So I have the same one took it out today for the first time and everything was thumping and hard to pedal it would go from smooth to thumping off and on.
@@fernandotejeda2238 One of the first things you should do is check drive chain tension of the pro drive. Many people don't know or understand how to adjust it, or how to adjust the blue lock lever. This leads to many issues that can be resolved very easy. I did a video on all of this. It's a LONG video, but it's from delivery to water ready on this exact kayak. With that said, if I can be of any help, please feel free to reach out to me. I've had mine for over a year now with no issues because I took the steps I needed to at the start, AND took the time to understand the mechanics of the entire system. Let me know if I can help. But from your brief description, to me it sounds like the drive chain tensioner needs to be slightly adjusted. I think that's in the manual as well as my video.
@@Amberdogproductions I’m gonna try to find that video I took a video of the problem o was having while on the water today. It’s just wasn’t a smooth pedal.
@@fernandotejeda2238 that is consistent with a chain tensioner that needs adjustment. Let me know if you need a link to that video. If you have torque up top from you, and drag from the prop, and a loose chain, the chain will just skip teeth over the prop end sprocket.
@@Amberdogproductions please the link would be great. Someone said it might be hitting the hill but I have everything tightened down.

Just discovered your channel. Awesome stuff. Two questions- the neoprene flap at the end- where did you pick that up from? And the paw protectors... I have a 3D printer at work- would I be able to print them myself? Or are you selling them? Would love to grab a few for my Wilderness Forester for my coonhound dog.
@@mirceaarsenie5822 Hi and happy you found my channel. As I'm sure you know, I'm not a car channel. So sifting through my videos and shorts for the crosstrek wilderness content may be in order for ya. The neoprene flap I got in the parts department at my subaru dealership. It was in one of the brochures on the parts counter. The 3d paw protectors I have here for people that want them as I run into them. But you can download and print them too at prusa printables. Search for nwcudaman or paw protector or subaru paw protector. Thank you for checking out my channel. Always feels good to have content people enjoy or find helpful.
You mentioned observing an entrance to a lava tube. Is this accessible? I have a NOAA archeological study planned that includes ROV sampling of Lava in a tube at 100 meters. If accessible, I could apply for a permit to study it.
@@stevehaggitt4403 these openings to the tubes are not large enough to enter even with my ROV. I've found at least 50 now throughout the lake. The only one that's currently growing in size that's noticeable, goes down several feet, then heads west, but it's still not large enough to enter. And it's east we need to look.
Have you had any issues with the pedal drive squeaking? I know it’s not my pedals and I keep it lubed. It’s so loud early morning. Thank you in advance
@@ryanhartzog2128 I have had no squeaking at all. The only noise I had, which was slight was just before I properly adjusted the tower clamp. Have you located where the sound is from? Perhaps that might point me in a direction.
@@Amberdogproductions sounds like it’s coming from inside the cranks. Right up top.
@@ryanhartzog2128 Ahh, ok then. Remove the crank arms, apply a small bit of grease on the shaft the crank arms go on. Clean the crank arm bolts well, apply a drop or two of blue lock tight. Tighten the crank arm bolts down well and let sit. That's what I'd try given my years of working on bikes with the same crank style. Let me know if that works if you can.
@@Amberdogproductions I actually worked at a bike shop for 13 years haha. The sound is definitely coming from inside. Like just the belt rubbing inside. I reached out to 3 waters but I havnt hear anything back.
@@ryanhartzog2128 It's a chain in there. Try doing a lube service on it using white lithium grease.

Loved the video! Couple of notes, I have the same ‘24 Wilderness and do about the same types of driving 20:21 , and I average 24mpg.
