This movie has somewhat of a special place in my heart, back when I had to take the train every day for several hours. I had this movie downloaded on my laptop, I would have other shows as well and cycle through them. But I never deleted this movie off that laptop, and I watched it many times over. It felt like I had found something good, at the time I just couldn't really put my finger on what made it good. Then I stopped taking the train, and with it, I stopped watching the movie. Several years have passed since then, but I've always recommended it when people asked me for suggestions. But about a year and a half ago I decided to rewatch this movie with someone who had never seen it before. And I could instantly tell again that this movie was one of a kind. However this time, I wanted to find out why. (Yeah I started working on this one like more than a year ago, but I recently finally got the opportunity to finish it.)
Dude, I recently rewatched this movie with my mum because of how much I liked it and we both loved it. One thing I try to do now with anime I watch, is to look at the people behind it and study certain parts of the animation and mull about the story. I was looking for concept art for this film and stumbled on this video because of the thumbnail. I was expecting some documentary about how they did things, but hey man I came back with some excellent analysis. Great job.
I turn 40 in a few weeks, I have been a fan of anime since the early 90s. I'm very particular person. And this anime is 1 of a kind, every aspect of this movie spoke to me. A beautiful masterpiece. The theme song is just superb
