Is your melasma still gone? I've read about people who had an initial clearing and then a prompt return of their melasma following a chemical peel. Can you update us?

Update - I’ve been in the hot sun (dubai) once since getting it done which was in December. It’s come back slightly in the same areas. Only in certain lights I can notice it so I have a little patch on my forehead & slight shading on the sides of my top lip. However if I look back at what it was it’s SO much better still. I’m still wearing block daily & wear hats in the sun. I think in the next year or so I’ll need to get it redone again (which I always knew may be the case) but I’m not feeling a huge rush to do so at the moment, but yeah definitely something I’ll need to do in the future. Hope that helps 💓

My Melasma also returned even though I continue to use cosmelan 2, used sunscreen everyday and used the 2 Mesoestetic melasma depressants daily. I also never go out in the sun without a mask. So disappointed.

Your results are sooooo amazing Nadia!! I had this peel last year and my face BLEW UP like so swollen my eyelids were covering my eyes and skin so tight it felt like it would rip open 😩 I had to sleep sitting up for weeks. I also had to discontinue the aftercare cos it was burning my skin to blisters. So my results aren’t nearly as great as yours. So happy for you!

I think you were incredibly brave to expose everything in this video - and I think that’s great. I know what it’s like to have pigmentation on your face and how it can affect your confidence etc. Your peel results are really really good - but you should know I thought you were very beautiful, even before the procedure!

Thank you for this. I am in the middle of the flaking process and so over it. The dryness and the fresh skin sting is so demotivating. But your video just reassured me I got to keep it up and the results will be worth it.

I did try chemical peeling before. Downside days i experience flaky skin and too tighten face. When i laughed or smile.hehe the flaky starts to peel. And also i avoid drinking hot drink on a mug. Because it burn my upper or mustache part. So i have this sipping cover glass for hot coffee. Yeah i put moisturizer against dry... Your face is glowing and pretty.

You look beautiful, but you were already beautiful before. I have hyperpigmentation from birth control and some freckles. The only thing that I have done is the IPL light which worked great. But my life changed 5 years ago and I haven’t been able to go in but maybe soon since I’m feeling better. I was diagnosed with CIDP, MS, and Fibromyalgia within 6/months of each one. But I have infusions monthly and medications by mouth so much improvement. Walking with a walker and driving short distances now. God is so good. I enjoy your channel and thanks for being so candid. 🙌🏻🙏😊💛

I have really bad melasma.. on my forehead, on the bridge of my nose, all over my cheek area. The interesting thing is I’ve always taken super good care of my skin.. always wore sunscreen, don’t go out in sun much and I never had kids! I am now 46 soon will be 47 and the dermatologist doesn’t understand why I have melasma.. nobody in my family has it so it is not genetic for me.. I just had my first TCA peel done today! Let’s see how my skin looks after!

Oh you poor thing. Thank you for sharing. What did you use to wash your face in the morning? And when you took a shower, did you avoid getting your face wet? How old are you that you had that amount of pigmentation from sun damage. You look young. I usually think of older women with that much sun damage pigmentation. You look fantastic now. I never noticed your skin pigmentation at all, It was a surprise to see you in the "before" photos. You are very brave to show us that and go through this procedure. Your serum may contain salisylic acid. I was doing a home peel and stupidly used one of my "good" serums instead of my mild moisturizer. I couldn't figure out why the serum was burning my skin, I looked at the ingredients and there it was salisylic acid. Not a good choice, when your skin is already inflamed. Good luck sweetie, you were lucky you didn't have to leave the house. :-)

This is so useful! Ive had pigmentation last 5 years probably, and its mostly in the summer season it comes. For me its more in the forehead area but also a bit here and there. How did you wash off the mask? Just with water? Because I'm on my third week now since the mask removal but my skin is just not peeling at all. I first washed off the mask with lukewarm water (skin color was the same as before the mask application) then washed again with soap. Then I waited 48 hours before starting with the home treatment, and of course, I did wash my face with soap during those both days of waiting. Now, my pigmentations are slightly darker ☹ Maybe 8 hours is not long enough because I think I belong to type lV but I was told to keep it just 8 hours.
