This is awesome! My grandfather was born and grew up in the area and would tell stories of the different lost treasure legends. He and his father would go out prospecting/exploring to see what they could find. I look forward to the films of the wrecks and the tales of you overcoming the technical difficulties!
Awesome video man, I just watched the dive at swan lake. I believe that's what lake that was said in your homemade sub. Now I'm Bing watching your videos. Thank you for your uploads. And you should check out jigging with Jordan's sub he just got and see if there's anyway you could point him in the right direction to getting the sub in working order.
My buddy and I have been talking on and off for 4 years now about making a sub. We are a little hung up on how to make decent ballast tanks. I was thinking on board compressed air but he’s worried that it won’t empty the tanks enough. We are also having trouble finding good pointers on how ballast tanks work when surfacing.
You need to do a lot of research before you jump into this project. Join the group Psubs.org and look at the site. There is a lot of information there.
Can't wait to watch these upcoming videos Hank, very interested in your progress keep up the amazing work !

Excited to see what you find! What a great way to put this awesome sub to some good use! Look forward to those videos!

Have you seen any trains?
What’s inside your submarine ?
Awesome!
Thanks Ian
I've heard claims that Slocan Lake has a CPR steam locomotive sunk in it. Lost off barge in storm.
It is true and we know the location at about 700 feet deep.
I have 2 projects in kootenay lake, if your interested.
Keep alert for a lost skier who was never recovered.
