- Warwick has long been associated with building custom bass guitars, but more recently have become serious contenders in the world of lightweight bass amps. I’ve just started using the LWA 1000 bass amp, and to put it mildly- I’m blown away with its sound, intelligent design and thoughtfulness towards the working bass guitarist.
In this video, I go through all the features that this lightweight amp has, as well as demonstrating its capabilities by playing several tunes, showing how this amp can be used to play supportive accompanying bass lines, along with playing solos that successfully cut through the mix without losing warmth and clarity!

And now I have one! Picked it up one of these Warwick LWA 1000's this weekend. Running over my two 15's.... and WOW. Super clean usable power with the most headroom I've experienced. Fantastic controls and EQ/Compressor. I really can't say enough about this amp. I'm so glad you reviewed it as I know now, it doesn't get the attention that it deserves. Thanks again Joe!

Great sound from that amp and amazing slap
Thanks Issac. You're right, it really creates a nice slap sound, but what sets it apart from many other amps, is you can really dial in the sound that you need in the moment. That's where the two channels are handy. If you are using a slap EQ on one and a finger sound on the other, or maybe you are using a fretless or upright bass as well. Many of the new young breed of pop players are using keyboard synth bass in tandem with playing their bass guitars, sometimes even within the same tune, so this really literally covers all basses!
