CONGRATULATIONS ON 30,000! I think the streets of Tatooine is evidence that the theme will be outside of a New Hope as the door with the doorbell droid is from Mandalorian! At least I’m hoping that’s the case…I’m hopeful the rumored “Bantha” creature will come our way due to the new media coverage with the Mandalorian and Cobb in the battle with the dragon!
HI BB, 30,000 subscribers, a well-deserved congratulations is in order, thank you for everything you do. Not long ago Mr. Stevie posted an updated grid with all the existing Retro Collection figures on his Instagram. In response to a comment that said the line is too New Media (Disney+) focused, Mr. Stevie indicated there will be "a move back to classic characters." I know like many collectors you are not the biggest fan of Retro, but what would be your top 6 OT figures they introduce to Retro (New or Re-releases)? A fun idea is maybe doing a focus on some Cantina characters to help fill the bar, if any collectors wanted to populate it with classic Kenner style. It would fit with the "Return to Tatooine" theme and can get popular figures like Greedo and Hammerhead reissued. Could maybe throw in a few other aliens never made in the Kenner style before or even a Kenner Sandtrooper. I have been loving the PT era figures and some of the new media waves, but certainly think a focus on never made OT will unite more people on the line.
Thanks for all you do! QFNW (off-topic): I’m a few years older than you; I grew up in the 80s watching some great UK tv - Dr. Who, Are You Being Served, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, etc. Since then, I’ve discovered Last of the Summer Wine, Only Fools & Horses, Open All Hours, Porridge, To the Manor Born, All Creatures Great and Small (old and new), etc. etc. What US tv did you have access to back then, and what were some of your favorites?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this? I’d love to add a new update to my collection of Rebel ships. Thanks for everything you do for the community!
QFNW: Hi Tim, congratulations on 30k! Well done and love the channel. What do you think of the idea of Hasbro putting out world building accessories packs or very small dioramas?
QFNW - How likely is it for Hasbro to release bonus accessories for sets? For example the Streets of Mos Eisley has some great accessories but I'm sure people want more to add to their dioramas to make it look more busy. Also this idea can act like replacements in case one were to lose the original accessories.
Tim! My E Wing came, and it is AWESOME. Can't wait to see your review of it. Now I want it to work on that N-1 stand so badly. Also, in reference to the question about possible 3-packs in the video, THE NIGHTSISTERS OF DATHOMIR would be my first choice. What would you think of that?
Great show as always, and congratulations on your 30,000 subscribers. QFNW If a 10 year old you visited 2024 in a time machine, do you you’d be more impressed with the modern toys like TVC or current media?

Congrats BB on reaching 30k; QFNW interesting listening to your comments on Amanaman figure, so if Hasbro did release this figure it most definitely will be deluxe so what would you like to see? Greetings Tim! A belated congrats for the 30k! My QFNW: Something I noticed is how much the “best figures of the year” stood out in a cycle where some of us may call it disappointing. Do you remember a year where TVC, 1.0 or 2.0 before the “Dark Times” (VC241), where you did feel some sort of perceived drought or lack of standout releases? I feel that we’ve been spoiled by that last wave of 2023 with General Hera, Pre Vizsla and Darth Revan. Figures like Tyranus and the regular release of Kanan Jarrus were beyond excellent, the latter being a possible Top 5 in the line while the former was what the community wanted. I struggle to find a Top 5 for this year because the better figures were just THAT good.
Hi Tim! Congrats on the major subscription milestone! 🎉 My question is... do you think we, the TVC community, would benefit from something more in depth than polling the fans on their top picks? We have the comments sections to discuss our thoughts, however, I would love to see something along the lines of a brief sales pitch from 3 or so random community members on what long shot or obscure characters they would like to see come to TVC and why. Basically, tell us all why you think we need this perhaps overlooked character, and we could vote on who made the best case and whether you agree. It would be interesting and fun to hear people's selections. Obscure candidates might gather steam from a discussion panel like that if we heard from the many community members at a rate of a handful per week or per month. To me, Arleil Schous is one such example of a character we can get on board with but at one time was flying below the radar. What are your thoughts? Cheers!
Congrats to the 30,000!!! What a milestone Bossk, you deserve it for all the dedication you have for the TVC! My son and I were once again, pondering the possible future Haslabs. Within the chat we had come to the conclusion that an Imperial project is a must at some point. We were wondering what would be a viable idea for a Haslab that could represent one of the largest factions in Star Wars? The other main point that surfaced in our chat was the future of Haslabs. We had come to a conclusion that one day, collectors will have to tap out on large releases, for space and cost reasons mainly unless a steady stream of newer collectors keep joining the hobby. So how many more Haslabs are realistic for the community and how long can really keep it alive? Thanks again Bossk!
Hi Bossk. QFNW: Now that the E-Wing is out and in most people’s hands (looking forward to your review), what is a suitable droid to use behind the cockpit instead of KE4-N4? As a carded collector like you, once again Hasbro fire-walled another carded figure in an expensive vehicle and there’s no way I’m buying two of these just to open the droid. I was hoping the droid that came in the Ahsoka Droids set with Huyang/Chopper from Disney would fit, but it’s slightly too big. Looking forward to hearing your take on this and what droid you’re planning on using. Cheers mate!
Tim, QFNW if not already covered. With the 2 playsets, E-Wing, Blurrg, and waves of figures all hitting in 2024, how does this year compare to previous years in the amount of stuff we’re getting? We’ve been asking for more, but objectively is 2024 a “bigger” year for TVC product offerings? I know you and others keep track of this stuff better than I can 😊
I completely agree they have missed the mark with the jumbo cards. The box is for world building, and the cards are for carded collectors. Use a standard cardback for characters with added accesories even if the bubble is wider or use double trays. World building items go into a box. Take accountability for poor decisions on run size. For new figures release the box first to get the figure out there, then release the carded version. It seems to me because we fought to keep the bubble Hasbro believes just having it is enough while ignoring a significant piece our collecting habit, the uniformity of cards hanging on a wall (or displayed in a graded case).
Hi bossk! question for next week, if you could pick 1 character from some of the more modern 3.75 inch lines (Rebels, Force Awakens, Rogue One, Last Jedi, Solo, Resistance) to get a figure in the TVC, who would you pick?
Hey BB why do you think are we getting all these figures of shows when we still gotta figures from bad batch and the clone wars that still need to be created and released
Question for next week - how do you feel about your likeness being used for the Gentle Giant Jumbo BOBF Boba Fett figure? 😂. Seriously, though, the resemblance is uncanny! Do you plan to get one just so you have a jumbo figure of yourself? Keep up the great work.
Excellent video Tim. I have to disagree on Hasbro ever ending TVC. I think they already learned other packaging for 3.75" does not sell which is why they brought it back for 2.0. Because they've finally accepted that it is an adult collector line as you said, they would be foolish to lose all the carded collectors money. But if I'm wrong and they actually did bring the line to an end, I'd be out. I don't buy anything but Kenner packaging. I have sold or opened all my non TVC lines for the 19 years I've been collecting. The only exception for me would be if they made a new OT figure like Mosep Binneed and Toryn Farr from TBS, then I would buy 1 to open if I don't already own that character, and that's it. One thing I do not get s why can't they offer POTF alt cards, or collector grade figures for a higher price on Pulse like BBTS does. Or like has been discussed many times, Haslab dream packs. Imagine if they did a mini Haslab, with 5 to 10 new figures, on both Kenner card and POTF alt cards, guaranteed mint, and we had to back a certain number of them before they made them. That's 0 risk to them because we funded it like any other Haslab. AND they get to repack the same figure twice, double sales for each new sculpt. If they can offer $80 selfie series like they used to for Black Series, I don't understand why they don't give this a try. Sorry, guess I didn't really have a QFNW lol. Congrats on 30k though!
Hey Tim congrats on the 30,000 subscribers and thanks for all you do for the collecting community. QFNW well two questions actually. With the Return to Tatooine theme and Hasbro releasing more and more creatures do you see a them releasing a Dewback with a carded Sandtrooper ? It would be massive seller for them. Also do think we will get a Three pack of Qui-Gon Obi-Wan and Darth Maul like they did in the Black series ? These are three figure's the fans have been screaming for given it's the 25th anniversary of TPM.
Hey Tim, congrats on 30k. QFNW- about a year ago i asked about them Re-packing the figure i wanted most, Aurra Singh, for TPM 25th. You agreed it was one they should do. Unfortunately the 25th came and went and it was apparent that we were getting nothing. So, having no other options I forked out a lot of money to buy her on the secondary market. 2 weeks after I had her they announced the re-release. Do you think there's anything hasbro can or should do to let us know at least what repacks are coming over the next year?
I think the Haslab stuff having no lights and sounds, is to create this bogus idea that - "This is Reeeally special. It's for collectors. It's not a toy, It's.... A PIECE OF ART" It's just a fancy way of saying we couldn't be bothered. It doesn't cost that much to produce those electronics. Especially since the Haslab stuff is so over-priced. The big Millennium Falcon was an awesome piece which was sold as a toy. If they released that now, it would be a crowdfunder, and they'd be charging $500 for it.
Hey BB. I’m loving the videos and loving the continuation of the “brought to you By” in each episode! Recently it was revealed that VC 310 was the first character from skeleton crew to be released. This number was skipped and left blank for sometime. Assuming 310 was always supposed to be this figure since the show was supposed to air a year ago, combined with the fact it takes Hasbro up to 18 months to release a figure, can we assume they had no plans to release any more figures? We’ve received about 11 figures in hand since VC 310 probably another 12 on pre-order and none are from skeleton crew leading into 2025. Basically, do you think this is another situation of a one and done like with Hunter in the bad batch?
Hi BB, Great show as always, thank you for the extended episode for this week and congratulations on the 30k milestone! Question for next week, do you foresee more vehicles being released as exclusives like the E-Wing in 2025 through Hasbro Pulse and Disney Store rather than as mainstream releases? I really hope we get more vehicles and beasts in 2025! Thanks as always, steve
TVC's not going any where any time soon. Like you said, if it does, it's the end of the 3-3/4" line. I got into this in 2019. Since then, I don't think TVC has ever been bigger than it is now
Thank you for another addition to the Sunday Tradition. QFNW: Now that we know that The Ghost will be coming in December, do you think Hasbro will continue spring Rebels with new figure releases it that the focus will continue to be on releasing Rebels characters that assisted in Ahsoka?...
TVC has just recently in the last year really started putting out near perfect 3.75" figures that look just like the characters from the movie. I hope the line doesn't stop right when it actually is getting great. I hope they put out a new Boba Fett based on Empire as that should have been done already based on the new mold designs like rocker ankles, etc.
QFNW hey just wanna first of all say that I am loving the videos and keep up the good work! Questions wise I’d like to know your thoughts on whether you think we will get the bad batch in 2025 or any other figures from the show and in what kind of configuration e.g single carded or we 4 packs. Also wondered whether you’d like the idea of a blockade runner or a hammerhead corvette as a haslab?
I do have one solution for the deluxe box dilemma; they should do some sort of “two pack” sized box, have a regular carded figure like the dark trooper, Paz, or stormtrooper and then have the cannon/large blaster/charging station packed in with it. That way carded fans are happy (no large card back/boring box) and loose fans are happy with the world building items/creatures. That’s what they’re doing for vehicles/creatures/haslabs already, so come on Hasbro do this with the lower price point items!! Now for the pricing, that’s a different issue, like the regular jango that should have been on an awesome card in the mainline!
I get what your saying bossk about the haslabs and other tvc vehicles not having sounds and lights but what about the new ghostbuster haslab the lights and sounds in that are amazing and so still is all the detail works, also the price point isn’t super expensive either so how come they can make it work ?
Q for next week : How do you feel about the Colour issues- Han solo's jacket on Hoth and his Vest on hoth look different to the props because of filming issues. I imagine since you've mentioned liking variants before its a matter of more versions/repaints which aren't bad! But do you think how a character looks should be as you see it on the film (Nor matter the source VHS/DVD/ETC) or based on what the props are? (Of course i believe Han solo on a Starwars card should look as he did in said film, not an Animated version, unless the cardback is from said animated series.)
Hello BB, great episode as always. QFNW: with the upcoming release of Skeleton Crew, and the release of the TVC figure for Jod Na Nawood, do you think Hasbro will release other figures from the show? Or do you think they will hold off and wait to see what happens with the show first and not have a repeat of The Acolyte where they release several figures only to have the show get cancelled? If they release more do you think they will release figures of the children? Hasbro has not had a good record when it comes to child figures, ie no young Leia/Luke from the Kenobi series, no younglings figures from the Prequel Trilogy, etc. Keep up the great work.
Can't help but feel they've stalled on the " return to Tattooine " theme, especially given the wev3 got the big Haslab playset and now the smaller playset.
Congratulations Tim on 30k and Jone on winning the giveaway. Please remind Hasbro that Amanaman NEEDS to be on a standard size cardback when they get around to him. QFNW With Rogue One hitting the 10 year anniversary in 2026 and Hasbro needing 18 months to develop figures, which items Rogue One items would you like to see make an appearence? Lets have 4 figures, a vehicle and a playset from you.
I just hope they make good character choices if it’s just two more years left. So they can go out with a bang instead of a whimper. If another company picks up the license, I probably wouldn’t make the move over because it just wouldn’t feel the same. There’s just too much history tied into the Kenner/Hasbro aesthetic. It would be weird to see someone else try to emulate what’s been done before. But good for those who will carry on wherever the winds take the Star Wars franchise in the future.
Hi BB, How Are You, I Would Like To Know When Do You Think We Will Get a Grand Moff Tarkin in The TVC Line , We Really Need Him, I'm Still Holding On To My Grand Moff Tarkin Figure From '97 , He Seriously Needs an Update !!!!! Thank You Take Care & MTFBWY ALWAYS !!!!!
I don't see TVC going away anytime soon, especially with the 50th anniversary coming up in 2027. It may become a smaller line at some point, but it could easily ramp up depending on the new media being produced in a few years.
I can't see TVC going away anytime soon, its still profit - Hasbro are always trying to find more profit and it bites them in the ass (DND source book issues people just ignored the new ones) Every new line i see as trying to replace TVC with a newer kids focused thing while also trying to get kids to buy more of their stuff.. so in the end i think TVC will last a while but TBS will also.. kind of a shame but also not.. the line isn't bad the only bad thing is that it seems to take away from TVC.
Hello there, BB. Excellent video as always. QFNW. Does Hasbro have any plans to remake the original Star Wars vehicles and playsets for the retro collection? Thank you in advance.
No light and sounds in TVC. Oh well. Just look at the Ghostbusters and G I Joe Haslabs. Latest Ghostbuster Haslab is loaded with them. Ecto-1 Haslab is definitely for Adult collectors.
QFNW: If the VC is indeed a plane that has begun its descent, what would you say Hasbro MUST make in the next few years that will satisfy you and give you closure with this line? The greatest toy line ever by the way. 😢
wow I never realized Hasbro Pulse is not affiliated with Hasbro itself..... That seems kind of strange to me considering 100% of their stuff is Hasbro items
You misunderstood, of course they are all under the same umbrella. Hasbro Pulse is a company of Hasbro. They just aren’t the same thing as Hasbro Inc. They work more independently, almost like a separate company.
It is affiliated with Hasbro. It is part of Hasbro. What Tim was saying, I think, was that they don’t work as closely together as you might think. Possibly because Hasbro looks out for outside customer companies better than internal.
If the price goes up closer to TBS there wouldn't be much point for newer collectors to buy TVC. Vehicles and playsets are the only draw TVC has.. as TBS is doing more characters.
@ i think Hasbro is missing a tremendous opportunity to spend a *little* bit of money and get people to re buy several figures (Stormtrooper, X wing pilots) all over again. Personally I ‘d re-buy almost any figure that was updated with Barbell hips. I respect the fact that not everyone wants to re buy figures just for updated hips, but I certainly would. Especially in the case of the stormtrooper, which is a figure that usually requires repeated re releases over the years. If they ever bring that figure out again I sincerely hope they update it. Great video as always
So Hasbro is getting rid of the pipeline reveals because they think it makes collecting less exciting? I would argue that's only true if you never really wanted the announced figures to begin with. If I've wanted a figure from the OT for 40 years, then announcing that figure is being made 3 months earlier isn't going to suddenly make me not want him.
I don’t believe that Black series sells more. There is way more “Army building” in TVC, along with collectors like yourself and OOK that open and keep on card. Idk how they count all of the figures shipped to discount stores either. Me personally, I hate the Black series and The Retro collection.
The amount of army builders is pretty small really. The average collector might buy 2 of each. Also, selling more of something that has a tiny margin isnt anything to shout about. TBS is everywhere, but you will be hard pushed to find TVC in stores. As for the discount stores the margin of profit is so much higher on a TBS figure that more can go to clearance without having an effect. It should also be noted that TVC also goes to clearance, I saw plenty first hand in OIlies and Ross stores when I went to Florida this year.
It's a nightmare. Reminds me of what Amidala said in the Senate chambers in episode 3, so this is how democracy ends, with thunderous applause. So many ignorant people don't realize what they've done.
That was a great little tidbit right there in the video, I enjoyed it and it definitely doesn’t take away from the questions answered throughout the video!
I’d love to have a trooper builder pack of rebels from Scarif

Not really a Vintage Collection question but if i were to hypothetically have an idea how could i pitch the idea to Hasbro?
First you need to get a job at Hasbro, in the area you have the idea about, the pitch it. They don't take unsolicited pitches from fans.

Thank you!!
Good Question !!!
Baze Malbus, I bet.
A new hoth pilot Luke would make me so happy
No questions but hey - great 3-pack suggestions!
Hey BB why do you think are we getting all these figures of shows when we still gotta figures from bad batch and the clone wars that still need to be created and released
I'd like to see the power of the force coin and card and be a big seller plus it get at least 5 minium of the 96 missing
Question for next week - how do you feel about your likeness being used for the Gentle Giant Jumbo BOBF Boba Fett figure? 😂. Seriously, though, the resemblance is uncanny! Do you plan to get one just so you have a jumbo figure of yourself? Keep up the great work.
For the VC line I just want Hasbro to Finish the 96! Please get that done before the line ends. VC 500 I agree could be the end.
Im floored they havent done the bad batch yet......not sure about 500 being the last, but it will end eventually im sure
Where is our 3PO that can come apart and have limbs put on backwards? :/
Want!
Since then, I don't think TVC has ever been bigger than it is now
Bingo
Congrats for the well deserved milestone!
Congrats on 30K.
@@joshb.8217 cheers Josh
Because the licence fee is tiny in comparison to Star Wars
Q9-0 is also another droid that would be perfect for TVC (and whom we got in TBS).
Congrats on 30k Champ!!!
Cheers Mike! Hope you are well buddy!
QFNW: with return to Tattooine do you think we will get a new luke landspeeder? Or possibly a dewback with a new sandtrooper?
I don't see TVC going away anytime soon, especially with the 50th anniversary coming up in 2027. It may become a smaller line at some point, but it could easily ramp up depending on the new media being produced in a few years.
I can't see TVC going away anytime soon, its still profit - Hasbro are always trying to find more profit and it bites them in the ass (DND source book issues people just ignored the new ones)
Every new line i see as trying to replace TVC with a newer kids focused thing while also trying to get kids to buy more of their stuff.. so in the end i think TVC will last a while but TBS will also.. kind of a shame but also not.. the line isn't bad the only bad thing is that it seems to take away from TVC.
Thank you, BB🎉 see you @40000
Hello there, BB. Excellent video as always. QFNW. Does Hasbro have any plans to remake the original Star Wars vehicles and playsets for the retro collection? Thank you in advance.
Good vid. Thanks for what ya do
No light and sounds in TVC.
QFNW: Do you think Jeans guy from the Mandalorian would make a perfect VC 501?
Why is no one talking about the 20th anniversary of Revenge Of The Sith for The Vintage Collection?
Spoke about it plenty of times.
question for next week . as we all know john mika is the don of dons .
how do I become a made man and is it true you are the underboss bossk ❤
wow I never realized Hasbro Pulse is not affiliated with Hasbro itself.....
Possibly because Hasbro looks out for outside customer companies better than internal.
that makes sense. Thank you both
Yes and Hasbro Inc and Hasbro Pulse are run by completely different people.
Sick!!
3D printing and custom figures is my way forward with collecting 3.75" figures since Hasbro has been underwhelming
Was the Jabbas throne with Bib Fortuna not also missing pictures for the giveaway? Wasnt sure if you seen my comment T_T
If an image was missing I would have taken then answer. Unfortunately only one person can win and its a random draw.
If the price goes up closer to TBS there wouldn't be much point for newer collectors to buy TVC.
Vehicles and playsets are the only draw TVC has.. as TBS is doing more characters.
qfnw , they didn't make kid leia from the obi wan tv show, will they make the kids from the skeleton crew tv show as tvc?
Qfnw. What was your first ever sw figure.
i think mr stevie said 2027 will be a big year because it is an anniversiary ? of the first movie
Yep he did, so as I said, fingers crossed we go even further past 2027! By the end of 2027 we should be around the VC500 mark
3️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
is the tvc commander gree comeing out again in 2025
Definitive Stormtrooper…..? Not so sure about that…….
@@julythrunov I’m happy with them. You want barbell hips?
@ i think Hasbro is missing a tremendous opportunity to spend a *little* bit of money and get people to re buy several figures (Stormtrooper, X wing pilots) all over again. Personally I ‘d re-buy almost any figure that was updated with Barbell hips. I respect the fact that not everyone wants to re buy figures just for updated hips, but I certainly would. Especially in the case of the stormtrooper, which is a figure that usually requires repeated re releases over the years. If they ever bring that figure out again I sincerely hope they update it. Great video as always
@@julythrunov yeah in an ideal world they would have had rocker ankles from the start too.
Glad to know Vintage Collection is ending at VC500 as I have no more space.😂
Not confirmed
So Hasbro is getting rid of the pipeline reveals because they think it makes collecting less exciting? I would argue that's only true if you never really wanted the announced figures to begin with. If I've wanted a figure from the OT for 40 years, then announcing that figure is being made 3 months earlier isn't going to suddenly make me not want him.
yes at is true but it also gives you time to plan to get
I don’t believe that Black series sells more. There is way more “Army building” in TVC, along with collectors like yourself and OOK that open and keep on card. Idk how they count all of the figures shipped to discount stores either. Me personally, I hate the Black series and The Retro collection.
No one knows
The amount of army builders is pretty small really. The average collector might buy 2 of each. Also, selling more of something that has a tiny margin isnt anything to shout about. TBS is everywhere, but you will be hard pushed to find TVC in stores. As for the discount stores the margin of profit is so much higher on a TBS figure that more can go to clearance without having an effect. It should also be noted that TVC also goes to clearance, I saw plenty first hand in OIlies and Ross stores when I went to Florida this year.
I really hate those deluxe carded figures its a good waste of cardboard.
Thanks BB. Been a rough week in the States. Nice to find comfort in your weekly videos.
It's a nightmare. Reminds me of what Amidala said in the Senate chambers in episode 3, so this is how democracy ends, with thunderous applause. So many ignorant people don't realize what they've done.
Don't know what your talking about? I'd say the majority of Americans are having a great week😂
@lamarravery4094 did you vote for kh in the primaries? No? Neither did anyone else. So much for democracy huh?
We are having an amazing time, Before it i was reserved and picky on buying TVC now i won't anymore habro gimme more now!! @attacktoaster6274
@@attacktoaster6274yeah because you weren't voting Palpatine anyway. Sure thing, bud.
We used to get deluxe figures on a bubbled cardback back in the 90s and into the 2000s. The boxes arent necessary.
Fast food question wasted when a on topic question should have been there not cool !
Apologies for adding a bit of fun to the video. You don’t have to watch if you don’t want to. 👍🏻
That was a great little tidbit right there in the video, I enjoyed it and it definitely doesn’t take away from the questions answered throughout the video!
Take Away - was that a pun? lol
