He had so much spunk and enthusiastic energy in the first game and that shift is very telling as he gets older. Or was it all in the shoes? lol

And then the transition into Castle Oblivion happened. Clearly, going from E for Everyone to E10+ also meant he lost his enthusiasm

It's still there, he's just not a boy. Take it from somebody who knows personally, the shift is into someone who's still curious and excited about the world, but is steeled for any conflict at a moment's notice. What you see as a "loss of enthusiasm" is having measured and diligent movement

True as this is and as good of a point this is, the original comment was kind of a lowkey joke, I doubt the original Kingdom Hearts' ESRB rating would really come up as a serious point in the game's (or any other KH game's) tone. This was just a light jab.

Ironic how the first walking animation is still the best "characterized" strut.
DDD is the closest to bringing that strut to its former glory.
Dang! Sora’s walk animation in Chain of Memories is so drastically different from his KH1 animation despite only a month or year has passed in that game’s story, as if to signify that Kingdom Hearts lore is about to take a dark turn.

@@RoxasTheBest89Tbf, sora retains his pre-pubescent voice in the original GBA CoM. Granted it was just recycling his old KH1 voice clips at the time of release (like 2003 or 2004)
Then they went and remade CoM for the PS2 in 2008, a whopping three years after KH2 came out. By the time, it was already the deep voice now
I always loved turning the camera around in the Olympus Coliseum level in KH1 and just walking back looking all cool lol

It’s really noticeable that KH:ReCoM is based on KH2 when you see Sora walks.
Kinda crazy to think that there's been more-or-less 13 games in the KH series and yet Sora himself has only been playable in 4 of them.
I feel like it's more because it's impossible to play as him in every situation rather than anything else, like games before he was born, because you play as him every time it's possible basically:
Union X - No (Wasn't born)
Dark Road - No (Wasn't born)
Missing Link - Probably not (likey wasn't born if the story stays only on past)
Birth By Sleep and 0.2 - No (was just 4yo but he's important)
KH1 - Yes
CoM - Yes
Days - Yes* (As him but not on story)
KH2 - Yes
Re:Coded - Yes* (Data-Sora)
DDD - Yes
KH3 and Re:Mind - Yes
Melody of Memory - Yes* (as him but memory version)
KH4 - Yes basically
His KH1 cycle sorta looks like he gotta swagger to it. Everything else looks like a rod up his back.

I just realized that kh3 graphics is really good, the problem of this graphics is that the loading screens takes a while on ps4
Personally I haven’t had much problems with loading screens on an SSD when playing the Epic Games version
@@samn6760 I was thinking to try kh3 on the epic launcher but my computer kinda sucks, so if I ever upgrade my computer in the future, think I’ll try.
KH3 loading is slow in PS indeed, not sure how much it improved on the PC version but on PS5 it's just the PS4 pro version via retrocompability so it feels very slow compared to many other games.

Ok so odd comment, but since my son (now 5 months) was 3 months he has had a odd fascination with Soras walk cycle in the KH1 pause screen, thank you, even if it was only for around 3 and a half minutes, letting me make myself a freaking SNACK MAN holy cow 😂 this kid loves this

kingdom hearts 2 was peak when it comes to mobility and gameplay
Honestly I like mobility in 3 way more than in 2, I feel Sora runs to slow in KH2, but the worlds being more like corridors and barely having plataforms makes it easy easier to move around in 2.
This game still looks better than a lot of UE5 games

I was going to ask why you didn't include the worlds from ReCoded, but then I remembered that you're not playing as the real Sora in them. Though technically 358/2 days would also count since Sora's playable in mission mode in that game.
Not really since story wise Sora was in castle Oblivion during Days, and I would even say that Re:coded Sora is actually more suitable than in Days because he is a real version of Sora instead of a bonus character like in Days, still is a different version of him so that's why I didn't put it

They were gone long ago, in fact, the section with the initial heart station In KH3 where you play as KH1 Sora is likely the closest we got to the first game animation since it has special ones to it
KH2 focused on combat but in consequence it toned down a lot of other things that changed the direction of many things in the series, for good or bad, and animations is part of that.
