The fact is that he is the best amongst us and by us I mean ALL of music. Mike Portnoy is the biggest student and fan of music that I know, and he would play for Neal for free. That should tell you something. The task of filling his shoes in Spock's Beard is massive but I'm such a fan that I am driven to grow my toes a little.
+Ted Leonard When I found Neal left Spock's Beard I was quite sad, but I was happy to see SB doing great music without Neal, putting their own spin on the classic sound. I mean, Neal is a beast from another world but I've really liked the albums since you joined, thanks for some awesome music!
This comment will likely never be seen by anyone, but...The Call's crowning jewel is Randy's pedal's at the close of Bill's solo at 8:15-9:20....brilliant! Portnoy is absolutely on fire in this song as well .
Excellent song. I'm a progressive rock artist and this song defines the genre. Moving, apocolyptic at times, off kilter to mimic life's imbalances. Just supurb. -Paul
Busy artist. Dozens of epic albums. 5 Transatlantic (all amazing, tho Whirlwind my fav), 3 TNMB ('15, '17, '19) each better than the other, and many Neal Morse solos and testimonials. (Loved the latest: "Sola Gratia") And still finds time in the midst to do a SPOCK'S BEARD reunion, to perform the LP SNOW in entirety. And hundreds of free concerts in Church Halls...
***** JET! Wooooooooo (not sure how to type that haha) that was hands down one of the best concerts I've ever been to and in such an intimate setting...not sure what got them to come to falls church but I'll remember it forever!
jorem88 I saw The Similitude of A Dream in January this year, they preformed a song from each album after the album and it was great. Neal puts on a fucking amazing show for concert goers.
i feel so left out being one of the only gen-z kids to like neal morse and god, and I jst feel like there aren't enough "kids" who like neal, genesis, or other prog artists. I am 13.
This song reminds me of Roundabout by Yes. It’s a flawless piece of progressive rock with many distinct sections, it’s vocals are equally as incredible as the other instruments, all members are giving 110%, and while both bands have longer, arguably better songs, both Roundabout and The Call accomplish what those songs accomplish in half the time. I am definitely a huge fan of epics in progressive rock, but if I were to show an “outsider” one modern (or any era) progressive rock song, this would be it. Cannot wait for the new Neal Morse Band album, Innocence and Danger. Can’t wait to see how they top this epic with the two new (and massive) epics on that album!
@@prosoloist That’s awesome! I absolutely loved Innocence and Danger, and still listen to it quite often! I was absolutely blown away by both of the songs on Disc 2, and each song on Disc 1 shows how good the band is at writing more “accessible” prog songs! I unfortunately didn’t get to catch them on tour, but the new live Morsefest DVD in support of this album just was announced, so I’ll make sure to buy that! I’m also really excited about Eric’s new project outside of NMB. Though little information is know about it, the prevailing theory is that Diego, the ex-keyboard player of Haken, will be one of the other members. Eric has said that it won’t interfere with his role in NMB, so I’m really happy that there will now be 2 bands that I can listen to when I want to hear Eric’s playing!
The songs have been uploaded already? ;D Man the internet is fast. Won't listen to it yet! Don't want to spoil anything! I'm still waiting for my album. Well... maybe I'll listen for a few minutes.... ;>
Some time ago I put the intro as my ringtone, because of the song itself... then I realized it was like my cellphone was overacting in asking me to answer
mason brewer I was NOT commenting on his playing. I was commenting on the sound of his drums. Have you heard the snare on DT12? Plus he uses Pearl drums. I prefer the sound of Tama.
The way Neal Morse blends gospel into prog is uncanny and unmatched.

And a worthy heir you are. Keep it goin' dude!!
Man I hear so much Kansas in this. Just discovered you guys so happy I found progressive Christian rock!
Yes I thought of Kansas too and the psalms too.
You listen. You smile. You feel happy and optimist again.
I'm agree with you.

Well said.
Great stuf.... my 17 years old son introduced this song to me. I'm a pro classical musician - I'm the violist in Cuarteto Latinoamericano.
This is probably the Best
Neal Morse have ever done!
One of the most thrilling endings in progressive rock
its so beautiful
Wonderful song! Wonderful album! Neal Morse is the only prog rock artist of the 2000's I love.
Absloutly... Best album in 2015
Is pretty good...
remember Agenda...
This is my favourite musical piece. I just can't get enough of it. So much energy!
The best musical composition I know.
My thoughts exactly
excellent. ...praise God.
Leave it all behind you...time to let it go.
This is just great stuff! Amazing as always Neal!

Another beautiful album from Neal and the guys. Never disappointed by their releases.

@@prosoloist they just get better. Innocence and danger is outrageous
This song by itself is worth the album! Great music!
This sounds absolutely great. Can't wait to hear this live!
Soooo good! This album is absolutely WONDERFUL!
Just saw this live last night...INCREDIBLE!

I've been a fan of Portnoy for some time but never got into his Neal Morse stuff. This song makes me want to listen to more.
Check out epics, like "Seeds of Gold" =)
The whole album is great. Buy it now!
Steven Wilson & Neal Morse good 2015 prog year
the prog gods have spoken.
Incredible song! One of (if not) his best!
Man, this is good!!!

Good points! Any thoughts on Innocence and Danger? We're headed to Nashville on Thursday to catch the shows in Cross Plains on Friday and Saturday
Besides the Holy Spirit, Neals music moves me also and speaks mountains about life!

say no one ever…I just can't!!!!
Thanks for the upload! A small correction: the artist here is "The Neal Morse Band" which is different from Neal Morse (different line-up). 🙂
Excellent!!!
My favorite on The Grand Experiment...
The intro instrumental part sounds like GENESIS.
Great progressive artist
That solo near the end is just fantastic
+KyleJPie10 the whole thing is just fantstic XD
just fantastic !!!!
Love that bit at 7:45
This song is even better at morsefest 2017. Its all the way at the very end if you want to search
Some of the keyboards sound like Styx and I love it
Some of the best prog transitions even for NMB at 5:30
The choir at the beginning sounds quite similar to the choir at the baptism during the last scenes of Bioshock Infinite.
Wow what a travel
amazing!
fantastic!!
Oh, I thought this was Rush for a minute.
Some time ago I put the intro as my ringtone, because of the song itself... then I realized it was like my cellphone was overacting in asking me to answer
Uma das músicas que mais me emocionam de ouvir!!!
a real masterpiece
Maestro muy buen album
Tack för nerladdning.
Excelente!!!!!
OMG. WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO KEYBOARDS AT 7:45
que buen album!!
5:57-7:45 is HEAVEN!
¿Como es posible que tenga DisLikes?.
I hear Yes, ELP, Styx, Kansas,Jeff Beck, Jan Hammer
Beatles. Huge influence on Morse. The band Yellow Matter Custard is Neal's and Mikes and Gilbert's Beatles cover band.
genesis influenced 👌🏽‼️🙌🏽
WTF.....Wooooow
Now why can't Mangini's drums sound remotely as good as these???
M. P. Rules!!!!!!!!

Santo dios que cosa mas mala... Que alguien le diga a este tío que deje de hacer lo miso de una vez que se le han agotado las ideas.
Not bad but sounds too much like Transatlantic. Was expecting something different from Neal's solo work.
Matt. Youve got to be kidding, right?
