From the home of Jetboating, New Zealand, and owning a jet boat myself be very careful you two.....things can go wrong very quickly especially at speed. I'm no "Safety Sally" but you both need to kit out when playing with that thing. Life jackets AND helmets. Really, I'm serious. Mini jet boats and jet-skis: the mosquitoes of the boating world. Jonas... no screwing around.....Personal flotation devices at ALL times. A rig like that can get you into serious trouble in a hurry. Get knocked in the head any you're in the water in a nanosecond and you're done. Play hard and Play smart. Carry on!
Lil Dingy for sure! Go raw aluminum and ditch the paint all together. Look into the Uhmw skids for bottom. Helps your aluminum last longer. And safety safety! Life vests and helmets for when y'all are going hard. Stuff can get crazy fast with that much power in that small of a boat. Stay safe. Love watching
You might need to consider (?) Sacrificial strips of UHMW-PE, as "sliders" under the Aluminium keel. High-Density Poly-Eth is inherently slippery AND Tough, & it saves your hull from abrasion.
Silvija is right, life jackets ON and also use the circuit cutter if you have one, (the string that turn everything off if you fall in the water, english is not my main language) and since it’s shallow waters helmets would be a big plus. Don’t think that you know how to swim is enough, at that speed water hits as hard as concrete, if you’re knocked out you won’t swim, but your life jacket will keep you floating and upright so you can breathe.
That was my first thought too. One stone sucked into that jet drive and your hosed. Had a seadoo that happened too when just leaving the shore, not even full throttle
flyby8906 yeah it’s bad because once it gets into the intake it circulates comes out from the back and spins under and and back in, only on the seadoos, not sure about this, we have two seadoos
Yeah he's going to pay for all that fun & games a very short time down the road when he has to totally rebuild that lower unit.....And if he keeps driving like that he will most definitely get stranded on the river.
I've been looking to get/build one of these for a while, most come with a reinforced intake grate that has narrower slats to only allow smaller stones, and a reinforced pump housing. That and after so many hours you have to re-weld the edges of the impeller to rebuild what you have ground off. otherwise, your right, they don't like sucking in gravel!
Bright orange life jackets with lots of reflective tape. The sooner the rescue people find your bodies, the lesser their chances will be of getting hurt or killed looking for you.
Fun that it was looking much safer on a bush plane than a boat! Well done to Silvia for the life jackets (safety first!! as in planes...!). Fun video for us anyway. Best
Thank you Silvja for making both of you wear lifejackets! And jonas....keep focused straight ahead, too much looking back and you could engage overhung branches or whatever...!! LOL!
Hi Sylvie & Jonas ! Its me from Patagonia again. Sorry I forgot to tell you that I cried on the top of that mountain, on your knee before the angel you've found (never let her go). I also admit it was difficult to say bye to your plane. And now you bought a f1 dingy, enjoy it and be carefull. Congratulations, I enjoyed the ride!!! Its such a nice view seeing you together. Jonas keep in mind you have very little hull sticking into the water with the boat. Use the power to rotate the boat and point in the direction you want to go. Then flatten the boat out and it will use the chine an power to go in that direction. If you close the throttle you have very, very little steering.

Smart girl. Always wear your life jacket buddy, theres no loss is pride by staying safe. Glad you guys are having fun in that boat. I just bought one a few months ago and they sure are a useful little tool for backcountry hunting up here in BC.
And I feel sorry for this boat. They're using it it's like it's a disposable hull. Wait till they pull it out of the water and see what damage is done. 😓😖
That impeller definitely had damage. Just like a prop on a plane or lets make it easier a lawn mower. If you chip some away its not balanced. Be careful. It might be able to run in 4 in of water but it will.suck everything up that under the intake
You obviously have no clue about these boats or you wouldn't be saying that. They are made for exactly that sliding over gravel and such check out some vids in Austrailia of these little jets Jonas was being rather calm compared to the stuff they do.
You are crazy, man! Live jackets and even helmets are a very good idea! What if it rolls over? Got to say, looks like a blast though. (BTW, I bet that fisherman really appreciated you flying by like that! :-P )
I read these comments and no one has mentioned that open bar end on the yoke, plug it with an aluminum bicycle bar end before it cookie cutters a hole in you. And if the jacket isn’t zipped or buckled its not going to stay on you when you suddenly leave “Just the Tip”
Looks like a lot of fun. I think I would coat the bottom of the boat with spray on plastic bed liner like the stuff they use on pickup truck beds. It would protect your metal boat hull from rocks or other similar damage while out running in this boat. Now all you need is roll bars, bright lights a spotlight, and maybe a stereo and speakers. It would be pretty cool to see someone try to water ski behind it too. Lol.
It would be smart if it had sacrificial Teflon replaceable plates to prevent gouging the aluminum hull. These river rocks are well rounded so maybe not so much an issue, maybe more denting than gouging. Maybe you need a "landing" light on that too, the typical P/S and rear boat lights and an additional forward facing spot light.
When I was a single young man in the early 70's, I had a 24 foot cabin cruiser I bought from a couple, and the name on the dingy was "COFFEY BREAK". As the dingy scrubbed the rocks at the shoreline, some of the letters rubbed off, so I renamed the boat the "OFF BRA".... draw it out on paper... perfect name for your new toy. Congrats !!!
Your going to hurt yourself or someone else if you keep looking back all the time! You can cover a couple hundred feet in the time you are looking back!
I miss seeing the KitFox! BTW: nice boat, and you're flying in that, though not as high... Safe travels! And a beautiful summer for you and yours! Blessings, JB. Postscript: Also, as a sailor since 5, I can tell you confidently, that a) you need seatbelts in that fast boat, and b) hitting the water at 30-40mph+ feels like you're hitting cement. You'll break bones and have other serious injuries if you aren't secured in your boat, and hit a sandbar, for instance...as you can be thrown from the vehicle, and if you hit your head on a rock, or tree, or other hard object, you can get knocked out, and drown! Just as you were in the KitFox, remember: SAFETY FIRST! Have a blast, have fun, but be safe with that special lady of yours!!
This is so true. Ill have 5 dollar sunglasses and for.the life.of me.they stick around. However when i have the costly ones I love the same weekend. It feels Ike a curse for us all.
Jonas paying tribute to Silvija and her Lithuanian heritage, you two should name your boat....mažas rėkia (little screamer) or mažas žvėris (little beast). You said that motor was loud and you were not kidding. That thing ran like a beast. Looks like fun!
Whew Ive worked in SAR, zip that jacket and grab a helmet. Even look into a personal ELT/PLB to bring with in the lifejacket pocket, can always have it for the backcountry too. Stay safe and enjoy!
I mean this in the nicest way. I applaud you for your adventurous spirit...for your willingness to take risks...to do things that are experimental, and to truly live. in this we are kindred spirits. But the way you are playing the game makes it a game that you cannot possibly win. Your luck will only hold out so long. I am 7O years old. I have lost friends and people I never personally knew who played the game you are playing the way you are playing it. I have helped their surviving relatives get past their losses, and yet I am all for what you are doing. Look at the reckless way that you are operating, and compare that to what Mike Paety is doing. You don't have to go all the way toward Mike Paety. You just can't win in the long run if you operate with reckless abandon as if catastrophe will not strike you. If I might add that what you are doing with your boating shows reckless regard and respect for the well being of other living things (the environment). I have done so many adventurous and dangerous things in my life, and I have no serious regrets. I have no serious regrets because when I made mistakes I was always trying to do the right thing. Others I have known have not fared so well. So please keep on doing what you are doing. I'm a big fan. But do what you are doing with dutiful purpose, with respect for others, with reasonable safety, and with the utmost concern for Silvija.
Totally agree, as the game goes on, the chances of getting seriously injured gradually approach to 1. This is fundamental principle of statistics. Unless you stack odds in your favor (play safe).
John your comment is laughable... "I have done so many adventurous and dangerous things in my life" And???? So what he is doing is so dangerous. You're and idiot!
No PFD?? You're nuts. The pass by the guys trying to fish in the drone shot wasn't very neighborly. Trying to rip the hull to shreds on the gravel?? Other than that, great video!!...LOL!
Omg, you can make anything a dangerous experience! Lol, love to watch, better your boats than mine! Silvia, you are a bad influence, stroking that crazy guy to even a higher level is nuts. Dirt in the impeller, don’t think that aluminum bottom was actually designed to be ground polished by rock bars. But it’s just money and time, your young, abuse it while you can.
Honestly as someone who has a medium amount of experience on the water, you are being dangerous. I also love your channel. Sorry if this is a downer comment, but I dont want you to die or accidently kill someone. Watch those blind turns and watch your proximity. You need life jackets, helmets and you should be bringing a PLB. Can you do something safer like Stol Bush Flying?
Unfortunatley youre right. Grew up on a river. Life jackets at least, and always watch corners. And you have to be conscious of wake zones and pass people like a road vehicle. Always on right side. And for your sake and safety...get a damn depth finder dude
Jonas always does a fantastic job of blending his action shots on the ground with shots taken by his drone at the same time. Sure, sometimes he re-enacts some takes for the drone, but who cares, it is still cool. Besides, when Silvija is in the video, who cares about the rest.
It isn't goin to last long treating it like that dude!! Please be more careful I still want to watch your video's ....one of my friends spent 3 months in hospital after a jet boat accident here in New Zealand.
That was exciting ! that little boat was made with you in mind,I bet there are some scratches underneath after that ? but please look after that lovely lady and keep safe you tyro ! we really care about you both and share your happiness.
@Harley Luquette - I've always called it a crush ring, but whatever... you are correct. Might want to inspect the bottom. Minus 10,000 grit sandpaper isn't real good for aluminum.
Id about imagine they use stainless rings on those boats compared to the traditional plastic ones seadoo used. Im sure they still dont last too long constantly sucking up rocks🤣
Looks like a shit ton of fun, but if you don't wear your safety gear it could be lights out. You hit the water at 40 mph it freaking hurts. I speak from experience.

Your going to hurt yourself or someone else if you keep looking back all the time! You can cover a couple hundred feet in the time you are looking back!
Oh my gosh I'm smiling like a fool, too fun. Thanks for the ride, AWESOME !!!
I think "Little Squirt" would be fitting.
Let me know when you crack the hull next to the hull welds.
The two happiest days in a boat owners life, the day you buy it and the day you sell it! I totally think a P-40 sharks mouth would only be fitting...
LOL! Call the boat The Minnow. Call yourselves Maryann and Gilligan. She is brave as hell, you be crazy. Cool toy. Enjoy!
Silvija, the more expensive the sunglasses the higher probability of losing them boating.
There is a lot of truth in this. But several pairs of $10 gas station sun glasses and throw them in the boat.
My wife had the same issue... check out SUNGLASSHOLIC.COM fashion sunglasses at unbelievable prices.
This is so true. Ill have 5 dollar sunglasses and for.the life.of me.they stick around. However when i have the costly ones I love the same weekend. It feels Ike a curse for us all.
Croakies.
you guys are freaking nuts I love it!!!!
You all have obviously had your fun.....now SELL IT! (while you still can) ......John M.
Dam that looks like fun. I should try one on Kentucky Lake! Silvia definitely has common sense. Keep Jonas alive Silvia 😎
The beaver that disappeared underwater was the smart one.
GSAR- head nod.
Way too much FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well said ‼️
Totally agree, as the game goes on, the chances of getting seriously injured gradually approach to 1. This is fundamental principle of statistics. Unless you stack odds in your favor (play safe).
Unsubscribe if you don’t care for how he lives his life.
@@eddiesmedley4785 I guess you don't care if he *has* a life. The last 2 videos have me concerned. Still love the channel
John your comment is laughable... "I have done so many adventurous and dangerous things in my life" And???? So what he is doing is so dangerous. You're and idiot!
Ok this was awesome guys !!’ Super fun!
Great, now I want an airplane AND a jet boat. 🤷🏻♂️ my wife says I need to stop watching your channel 😂
Glad to see the same girl is still around. She is definitely a player with the adventures. They are hard to find, those kind of girls, I mean.
4:18 you definitely need life jackets...you hit a log or something else get knocked out easy to drown.
FREAKING AWESOME !!!! THANKS FOR POSTING :-)
Great video guys!! Looks like so much fun
You should color the jet boat yellow and brown in honor and remenbrance of the kitfox:)
KDVT Spotter. I think the "brown" may already be cover, in the color of his underwear!
With 'experimental' written on the side seeing as it's a kit boat
@@callumclausen8658 haha:)
@@bebo5558 haha!
Jonas always does a fantastic job of blending his action shots on the ground with shots taken by his drone at the same time. Sure, sometimes he re-enacts some takes for the drone, but who cares, it is still cool. Besides, when Silvija is in the video, who cares about the rest.
You should think about buying a plane and doing a flying channel. I think you'd both do great.
You guy's are awesome...the whole video made me laugh and smile...thank you!
Put a roll cage on it if you’re gonna be wildin like that with ya love in it with ya. And always always always use your pfd!!!!!!!
oh yes, a jet boat loves rocks in the impeller. Brilliant
I bought a nice quite place on the Snake River then Jonas came along! ''Dinghy Mc Ding Face''??
I’m building one of these!!!! Hell yeah.
That thing looks fun as hell! A roll cage might be a good idea for it tho
we want more!! this thing is wild !!
Look into changing your wear ring. You can hear its toast. Holeshot will be 10x better .
@Harley Luquette - I've always called it a crush ring, but whatever... you are correct.
Might want to inspect the bottom. Minus 10,000 grit sandpaper isn't real good for aluminum.
CreekyGuy o
Id about imagine they use stainless rings on those boats compared to the traditional plastic ones seadoo used. Im sure they still dont last too long constantly sucking up rocks🤣
OMG! You guys are LIVIN!!
2:46 By By Fishing Rod!!!!! :-D
Crazy jet!!! Breathtaking video! Yeah!
Looks like a shit ton of fun, but if you don't wear your safety gear it could be lights out. You hit the water at 40 mph it freaking hurts. I speak from experience.
At a certain speed water is like concrete that grabs you when you slow down. Been there and done that.
Been following you two for the better part of one year. Seeing your adventures makes me wanna be young again!! Love the vid production! You both are perfect for one another. So ya the boat.I would NOT have tried that maneuver a second time..Well maybe if I thought I could do much better. My lovely bride would not...As a matter of fact, she would not get in the boat! Love it. Well done. Another angle out for your channel.
The eyes and the expression on his face say it all! 🤣
The “crazy” switch engages at some point!
Flying things are better man, don’t get hurt boating...
Never a dull moment with you two! Thanks for sharing more of your adventures. And forgive me but I must say, Sylvia is just stunning! Such a sweetheart! Be safe and keep it coming!
