    MDs who have integrated Homeopathy into their medical practise would never go back to using drugs. That's one reason why the pharma industry has taken to hiring bloggers to slam it.

    Because of my life experience, unlike many I can not just dismiss homeopathy ideas out of hand. In my late teens I got interested in herbology, but I had also read about the general concepts of homeopathy. I gathered Dandelion root and made tea of it for about eight of my friends, including some of their kids from the forests in Northwestern Montana. Dandelion was safe and considered non-toxic so I made up this brew and we all drank it. Shortly thereafter, everyone including myself developed nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, and the only thing we had done in common was drink my tea. We later discovered, that while dandelion is non-toxic, the Forest Service that summer sprayed the forests and it was that spraying that made us all sick, because it settled on and absorbed into the dandelion. However, before we knew this we all were sick by this contaminated dandelion. Then I remembered the basic concepts of homeopathy I had once read about, and I had a basic rudimentary idea on how they went about breaking remedies down...since I still had some of the tea in the refrigerator I went about to break the tea down, one drop of the tea to 100 drops of alcohol and water mix. I then took 100 drops from the new container containing 100 drops alcohol and water with the one drop of the tea. I repeated this process six times at the same ratio not forgetting to vigorously shake each time. It took a couple of hours to get the first therapeutic homeopathic dose...6 C. At this point we had all been sick for about three days. I gave it to myself and everyone else who had drunk the tea. In about two hours everyone's symptoms abated and we were all perfectly fine. Why this should work I cannot explain...but it did. I also had a girl friend who got sick while in France with infective bronchitis and the M.D. prescribed her a homeopathic remedy for it, which she filled at a pharmacy there. She showed me the bottle with the prescription label, as she still had it. I asked her if it worked. She said it did, and that in less than five days she was completely over her bronchitis. Now, while homeopathic medicine may seem bazaar, illogical or impossible, my experience suggests strongly to me...there is something to it, even though the mechanism eludes our best efforts at this point scientifically. All I know is that I applied it's concepts on me and eight others ans we all amended in less than two hours after taking the preparation, and a girl who was the honest type also used homeopathy in Europe and recovered in less than five days from a fairly severe bronchitis infection...so that's all I know...Does homeopathy work? It seemed to for me...beyond my own experience I can not say. Perhaps, homeopathy will be demonstrated in the future as our understanding of sub molecular chemistry also increases....and then maybe not. Only time will tell.

    Hybrid is not natural, therefore I would not consider it organic. When I think organic, I think naturally grown in as much as is possible; absent Monsanto, chemical fertilizers, and other pollution. I decided to build a greenhouse this year because and will incorporate a water filtration system. I'm in my 3rd year and although I have not been very successful - I'm not giving up.

    In terms of life-expectancy, we don't live longer. In fact we live shorter lives. As long as we manage to survive childhood, and the old epidemics that came...all in all, our life expectancy from the past was higher. This can easily be proven by going to a Cemetery and calculating dates on old tombstones. You will notice there were more children who died in childhood from contagious diseases but over all once a person survived childhood they did live longer than we do today. I have already did these comparisons and I know we live shorter lives over-all...so the man is right on this. By the way...it wasn't vaccines and antibiotics so much either that help us beat the childhood epidemics and smallpox as they would have everyone believe. What really made the difference is our increased awareness of microbes and improvements in hygiene and sanitation of our homes and cities and towns. That's the biggest reason...not some wonder drug from big pharma!

    I couldn't finish this. Frankly, more things to "worry" about is all I see here. If I listened to everybody who tells us everything that's wrong and "their" way to correct it, ways that often clash with each other and solutions that are often not even practical for many of us, I'd go crazy and would think that I might as well go and kill myself.
    I can't help remembering about the Law of Attraction... I learned that the more we look into things that occupy our mind, the more things of that nature will appear. I've been looking at too many videos about health that contain negative things in them, like instilling fears in us even if a "solution" is given, so I'm just going to stop and not take ANY of this seriously. It's just impossible that everyone's right, not a single person really has all the truth, and to a great extent we create our own truth, this lecture just convinced me of this!
    I advise everyone also to not be swayed by all these "ideas" that other people come up with, they are their truth and they can only become part of your truth if you let them. As for me, I refuse to welcome this one into "my reality", thank you!

      Your personal experience differs from the past 200 years of actual evidence then... Perhaps you should begin documenting your homeopathy regimen? I'd be willing to bet it includes a more-than-healthy dose of confirmation bias and symptoms that disappear on their own... lol

    I am just now listening to this recording and so I will not comment (yet) on what the speaker says. I may agree with him or not or somewhere in the middle. I will however, comment on the arrogant ignorance of the anti-homeopathy comments written here. Arrogant ignorance is one of the most detrimental things we have in our society and it often comes attached to a high IQ. I know this, because I often see it in fellow Mensa and Intertel members. Thankfully, we have and have had many forward thinking people who would feel disdain for this, or else we would never have learned to make cars and airplanes, or that the planets do not revolve around the earth or that things smaller than the eye can see both exist and can be very dangerous and a great many other scientific discoveries.. I devoted a button on my web page because of this and I call it In Search of Unknown Facts, just in case any of the ignorant wish to change. The first two books I would recommend, to those open minded enough to stop stammering and screaming and look at all research and facts before making their decisions, would be The Impossible Cure by Amy Lansky, and The Homeopathic Revolution by Dana Ullman. I am very thankful that science and facts cannot be altered simply by people believing that something is not true.

    • @ChantryKnight
      @ChantryKnight 9 років тому

      You are correct about science and facts not being altered by belief...that's why regardless of how much someone believes it should be, homeopathy has no place in modern medicine. To date, there is *no* credible verifiable repeatable evidence of homeopathy being anything more than a scam to sell inert substances as 'medicine'. Neither book you mention has anything within it that will or can change the facts...and listing Ullman as any kind of reliable source puts a cloud over your own statements, as Ullman is known for making shit up that has little to no factual basis.

    Uninformed, disturbing, and sometimes totally wrong. Terrible falsehoods about organic foods. Most organic growers go through costly, strict 3 to 5 years certification programs to demonstrate how healthy and chemical free their farms are. Many also use heritage plants - old favorites - NOT hybrids. Soils are natural and healthy - not artificial. Please go to reputable sources regarding organic farmers and produce. Better yet go out and meet your local organic farmers and thank them for caring about restoring soil, and producing the healthiest produce you can find.
