Love to see the re-emergence of flat heads and 4 bangers. At least in this indoor portion of the show the cars are reasonably finished. No rat rods, and unfinished efforts.

Richard Fox don’t be fucking snob, rat rods was the way it was in the beginning, it’s all the same family

So many beautiful cars, many of my favorites, but I found that grey patina 57 Cadi behind the gold 53 Chevy particularly attractive for some reason.

6It's really amazing to see the Watson cars there as if they are just an average specialty house items, Especially the Iconic El Vino, a car that changed every reference points in customizing. Sitting there as if its just another show item!!!

Great overview of this show thank you for sharing! I am amazed at the number of late 40 50 and 60 customs whit shaved door handles - this must be a common practice in the west - the other thing I always think of when I see a show like this is can you imagine the number of dollars invested in just paint jobs!!

How about a rare 1956 Buick Century Estate Wagon stuffed with a Roadmaster Engine to a Special body. It built about 4,288 of these Buick Century Estate Wagons for 1956. For 1957, Station Wagons is getting to be popular for the Buick line, including the new hardtop styling for both Buick Century Callebero and the Special series with more then 20,000 built.

seeing the lincolns there reminds me of a story that ed roth once rented a lincoln from hertz or someone and brought it to the gnrs and had all the pinstripers stripe it and returned it to the rental company! anyone else know of this story, saw it a hot rod magazine i think !

How about a rare 1940 Mercury 4 door convertible sedan with a chopped top and customized. Mercury did built 1,000 of 4 door convertible sedans during 1940, but in the wrong year, and I thought 4 door convertible sedans are done after the 1939 models. 2 door convertible coupe are more popular then a 4 door convertible sedan, back in the pre-war days.

thanks for the great pics!! I saw the Ted Hubbard 1930 Ford at minute 17:50 or so -- built by a local builder here in Nebraska - CAL Automotive Creations - Andy Leach, of CAL, has (had) another car out there in the show this year, a bare metal Buick Invicta -facebook.com/andy.leach.9/videos/2390560444311098/

Why can't we see cars like this, just driving around in every day life. The world would be alot more colourful. I mean tdays cars, basically all look the same old bland shape. To say they're all classic cars. I think they all look futuristic. Like cyber punk noir.

I appreciate all the effort put into these, but let them without bonets, looks like garbage, a ruined car. To see the driver's cabin for the inside, it's weird. I suppose it's for letting space for the engine, but looks poor. And the wheel covers missed. I don't like these experiments. Far better a good restoration as the original.
