Big Country - Where the Rose Is Sown (Guitar Cover)

It's been a while since I covered some Big Country, and to any new listeners/viewers to this channel, the band comes from my hometown in Scotland, so they have an even more special connection, but that would mean nothing if I didn't like the songs and guitar work! Stuart Adamson is quite an underrated guitarist and sound designer, as is Bruce Watson, but this track shows their intricate guitar orchestration and faux 'bagpipe' like tones very well. Really fun to play along! :)

I use a Boss ME50 (using the octave effect for the bagpipe sound) into a Dimension C, into a Palmer Pdi-09 into my interface recording on Logic Pro.

One of my favourite bands. Saw them many times in the 80s. My partner at the time made Stewart's shirts during their early years. Great rendition

Great cover. The Big Country's music is almost forgotten but they inspired the U2 and the Simple Minds and their guitars and bass lines are brilliant.
