James also played football. His coach said he had to cut his hair or he couldn't play... I think he chose the right fork in the road!!!!

The official crowd count was 1.6 million, but it is estimated to be closer to 2.3 million, with 54 death's.
The helicopters were used to circulate the air .

Every. Single. Reaction. Video. The count increases. The MOST was 1.6 million. But never more than 600,000 at any one time.

    • @FarukAhmet
      @FarukAhmet Рік тому

@@GeekFurious Yeah, it gets more ridiculous every time. It was a free concert so there was no official way to definitively tell the number, just guesstimates. Also helicopters were not used to "circulate the air", that doesn't make any sense. Someone from the Metallica crew bribed a bunch of soldiers to use the helicopter to get some cool camera shots as an off the cuff idea, it wasn't even planned or officially sanctioned-it was a wild, chaotic situation so they got away with it (this I heard from the crew member himself on a podcast called Speak'n'Destroy, iirc).

actually the official count does not say 1.6 million at the Metallica concert
nor does it say 54 deaths

I rarely passed up the chance to see Metallica. Their concerts are always a guaranteed good time. When I saw them last in 2019, it was mainly us Gen Xer's and our adult kids LOL I can't wait til they come around again so I can take my grandson!

The concert happened at an old airstrip near Moscow mere months before the Soviet Union collapsed. This concert was the first time the Soviet people could hear Western music. The amount of people in the crowd was estimated at 1.5 million, 53 people died during the concert

@@jodyandamanda it was a historic moment. The only thing I've seen that is even close is Babymetal in their prime live in Japan. 2015 or 2016 those shows were nuts. Most of those videos are blocked but there is 'Road of Resistance' live in Japan on UA-cam.

It wasn't the 1st, but the first good concert! Before they had heard a few years before this, Motley Crue, bon Jovi, and Cinderella. But the only decent band was Ozzy with Zakk Wilde, the only ones that rocked the house. I'm sure it's here on UA-cam!!

1.6 million people, 53 people died,
    the “security” was the army.
    The crowd was the horizon.
That concert was Monsters of Rock in Moscow,
    Tushino airfield.
    1,6 million people saw Metallica,
    AC/DC, Black Crowes and Pantera.
    That was a legendary MoR.
    The entrance was free.

If you are looking for some other stuff to check out....Slipknot - Psychosocial (not sure if this might be too heavy or not for ya), Saliva - Click Click Boom!, Also a totally different thing is Pentatonix- Bohemian Rhapsody, Daft Punk, Can't Hold Us, The Prayer, Wizard of Ahhh's, Hallelujah, Radioactive, etc. They are an amazing acapella group if you haven't heard of them. You won't be disappointed if you start reacting to them I promise you. One word of advice if you do, make the video kind of transparent so you won't have copyright problems but trust me, my fellow Pentaholics will find your channel and there's a lot of us. Lol 💜🎵
