I have a question for you outside of the lovely beanie and your excellent tutorial. I hope 🤞🏼 it’s ok to ask it here. I hardly ever comment on any of your videos. I’ve heard you say, time and again, when finishing off, weave through the yarn strands your loose ends 3 times and they’ll be secure. My question is, does it have to be pretty? If so I’m not sure how to accomplish that. Thank you for all your tutorials. You are how I learned to crochet 5 years ago.❤
My mother taught me to use yarn as my stitch marker many (55) yrs ago. So much easier then those plastic clip things, especially now with my arthritis. 😊 your instructions make this a beginner pattern.
Thank you for refilming this! I truly appreciate it! I'll be making this for my doc's mom who is entering chemo. A great pattern for a soft and solid hat ❤
Perfect timing for this video to come out. I found some more donated yarn stash and wanted a new hat pattern for my hats for the homeless project. Looking forward to getting a hook into this! Thanks, Mikey! You are the best!
Mikey, I LOVE the stitch markers! With double vision I often have counting trouble. The stitch markers will make this project so much easier! I can't wait to get started!!!
This is brilliant! I just finished a baby hat that gave me such problems starting it. Now with your calm and detailed instructions I know the next hats I work on will be so much easier to start and complete. Love the yarn stitch markers! You are the best Mikey 😊👍👍
I'm so glad you made a video for this pattern! I was literally doing this last week and got so frustrated after about 8 rounds that I frogged the whole thing. It's hard to find the chain spaces...look forward to trying it a second time.
I'm not sure about all the markers. Love the round end marker, but I'm afraid I would get very frustrated with all those other strings. I do have several clip stitch markers, I may use those. I love how quickly this beanie/hat comes together.
I'm sorry about that. I did this filming before without the stitch markers and people really were upset they couldn't see the growth. this refilming was hopefully to get rid of that complaint.
@@TheCrochetCrowd oh I can see where it would be useful for some people. I just prefer the clip on markers. I love your videos, they have taught an oldie like me a lot of new stitches and how to read patterns.
Am I crazy that the directions in the pattern don’t match up with the stitch counts? I’m trying to just read the pattern and do the hat but I can’t make it make sense.
Just looked on the Yarnspirations website and they’ve confirmed that the stitch counts are completely wrong from round 4 on. However, they didn’t bother to fix the written pattern and just linked to the video. :-(

Video has the willow shawl as the opening title but it's still the Easy Street Hat. :) My goof up! Michael

The stitch markers really helped me. Thank you for doing this video.
Mikey, I LOVE the stitch markers! With double vision I often have counting trouble. The stitch markers will make this project so much easier! I can't wait to get started!!!
I love the stitch markers. I am predominantly a visual learner, so this works really well for me 😊
Yes, I like the stitch markers! You make things so much easier!

Mikey, I will never take tutorials from anyone but you ever again!

Mikey I have learned so much from you! Thank you so much for all you do!!! You have made me a better crocheter!
Yes! The markers were quite helpful to this unsophisticated newbie.
I love that this just got posted. I am starting to make gifts for Christmas and I wanted a really fun hat. Thank you so much!
Great idea to use stitch markers for the corners when working in the round. Sure does better than trying to count. 😊
I'm hoping that will save people grief. I didn't do that first time around.
Love using the to mark the corners & joining rounds. Clearly shows your progess.
Thank you for the tips!!! I'll definitely be using the stitch markers. Love the tutorials. I appreciate all you do!
I have a single ball of the Roll With It Melange, and now I know what I’m going to do with it!
Love the stitch markers.
Thank you Mikey…🤗
Totally love the stitch markers! ❤❤❤
Love the stitch marker idea with the yarn! Hat pattern is great! Going to start making some today for kids going to NY in December.
Que bonito!!!! Gracias maestro por compartir 😘🇲🇽👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💛
These are so much easier than those hard plastic clips.
I like that Mikey😍 That looks good for men and women ❤ Thank you
Stitch marker is helpful thank you!😊
Thanks Mikey!!!
THANK you.

Need to make this!
Super 😊
Is it correct that you didn't do a chain one after the last single crochet of Round 7? I'll move on to Round 8 and hope for the best.🤔
Am I crazy that the directions in the pattern don’t match up with the stitch counts? I’m trying to just read the pattern and do the hat but I can’t make it make sense.
I don't think you are crazy but that is a bit surprising.
I’m having the exact same problem! I hit the stitch count before I’m done with the round if I follow the written instructions.
Just looked on the Yarnspirations website and they’ve confirmed that the stitch counts are completely wrong from round 4 on. However, they didn’t bother to fix the written pattern and just linked to the video. :-(
Beginning of Round 8 has two single crochets in the new corner with no chain in between? I'm confused.
Worst tutorial ever!!!
@@crochet_by_serena this was refilmed.
@@crochet_by_serena you will find the new version here. thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-easy-street-hat-pattern/
I’m going to be making lots of this one!! Thanks Mikey! You’re awesome!!😊
