- PPPD FAQ's part 1 | Diagnosing dizziness, dizziness in lockdown and more!
Hey guys- I have been gaining a load of new subscribers from my previous PPPD videos which I never expected- but I appreciate it and want to give you guys more PPPD content! I have put together 10 FAQ's about Persistent Posturo-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) that I have collated from common comments on my other videos, along with DM's I've been getting from a lot of you. Hopefully this video is helpful, please use the timestamps if you are only interested in selective questions! I will most likely continue this as a mini PPPD FAQ series every few months as I identify more commonly asked questions. I will continue to keep my DM's open on my Instagram Styledbymegx but I apologise if it takes me a few days to get back to you, I tend to answer my DM's when I've blocked out some time to do them all at once (it's a busy life balancing a full time job alongside content creation and self care hahah).
I have created some dedicated support resources to help you overcome dizziness once and for all! Check them out here: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/TheHealt...

Coming back to say thank u for advocating for PPPD and talking about it. A year ago I found your video and it saved my life, I started treatment and found the right support groups because of you, I got my life back and I'm so grateful
Comments like these really make my day! I’m soo glad it was helpful and you’ve overcome this horrendous condition, you deserve it♥️
Hey VART,
"GOT MY LIFE BACK" do you mean that you are completely normal with 0% dizziness? .... Please reply 😭🙏🏻
@@thobanhyung I still have moments of dizziness when I'm too tired or sleepy, but they don't disable me, I'm 97% cured.
@@Ackermann634 I couldn't go to the bathroom on my own I needed help to stand up. I saw a neurologist, she put me on topamax for migraines, betaserc for the dizziness and an antidepressant, I've been on these 3 medicines for a year and it's what got me better, I've worked many jobs, went to parties since. But it took 6 months for me to get better.
@@Ackermann634 also yes when you get the flu or get sick the symptoms come back harder and get worse, you just need to stick to your medicine and also go outside and force yourself to challenge this disease do not be afraid of the dizziness or "falling" that's the key. After flu you can go back to normal, it's just the way it is dont worry xx I got covid and it was hard but after a month i got back to normal
Please keep doing these. Very helpful and informative. I'm glad u're feeling well, greetings from UK. ☺
I’m soooo glad I found your channel. I’ve had long Covid for over 3 months and thought my balance issues were to do with that and fatigue but I now realise it must be PPPD as I have every symptom you mentioned. I’m waiting months for a referral to LC clinic but will do your exercises in the meantime. Thank you x
Thank you so much for this video, so useful and I'm sure it's going to help my son who's suffering with this exactly 🙌
You let me feel more confident now I just started and I feel it’s working 😊
I definitely have this!! The room is not spinning My body loses balance and my head sways back and fourth. I've had this for 40 days now. It's very stressful especially having two little kids. Also lays down definitely makes it worse! Been having lots of anxiety due to my family members living with us and causing drama. It's definitely scary driving and walking my girls cause my body gets weak
how are u?
Panic attacks yes. Over a year of the dizziness and losing balance. Most started after a breakup with long-term boyfriend.
thank u sm 💗this has helped me a lot bc im strugglin w this
Thank you meg! You are god for me from now on. I am also having these symptoms. From India ❤
Thank you for these videos🙏🏽❤️
You’re welcome!!🥰
(I originally posted this comment somewhere else, but you've been a big help as well so here's my story so far.)
I was worried about what caused my dizziness, I haven’t been diagnosed with pppd but I do believe I have this. It started so randomly, I was just playing a game, all of a sudden my body got really hot and my heart started beating quicker and then the dizziness came, lasted for about 5 hours. Went to the hospital later that night , got blood checked, urine, ears, heart, even a Covid test and everything came back clear. I ended up going to another hospital the day after just because I was so nervous and wanted more opinions. Again, everything was clear but I was told to get rest, one thing that did help me was the breathing that a nurse helped me with. I believe what triggered this was a lot of stress, constantly for a few days, then randomly I felt like I needed to catch a breath.. I took a moment, things were good for a couple moments, and then all the above happened. Sorry for this long comment, just trying to get my story and experience out there. I have hope I can for sure get better, my dizzi/lightheaded symptoms have been getting a bit better, last night sleep was kinda hard but throughout the day I’m okay with concentrating my breathing and focusing on over things. Thank you for this video, Btw this first happened August 11th, around 6 pm.
Thank you for this 🤍
Omg that’s so true !
I’ve been feeling this today !
Thank you for raising all of this OMG I really haven’t link this together.. I try to go for a walk but it’s so hard to motivate ourself and only in my area ..
But I need to go out of my little flat

Your video may have saved me!!! I’ve had MRI, CT and anti anxiety meds in the last 9 months and my ENT has no idea what’s wrong with me.... MRI and CT are all normal... off for an eye test in a week and then back to the Ent and I will tell him I think I have pppd....
Aww I’m sooo glad I may have helped you find your diagnosis !! Yes definitely mention it to them fingers crossed you can get to the bottom of it all😁✨
For me I notice I tend to get worse during after my period which really sucks. I even had to stop going to highschool bc of how bad my dizziness gets. I even went to the doctors about this and they just told me it's nothing:( but everything you explained about the symptoms sounds exactly how I feel
I've had this comment a lot! May be to do with energy levels and hormones amplifying your symptoms during this time of your cycle. Yeah doctors don't seem to have a good awareness of PPPD which is a major problem- I just recommend trying the vestib exercises from home and guide yourself to see if it helps!
WOW! I appreciate this so much! I have had this for 13 years. I have a question. Do you remember feeling like it was really hard sometimes to even pay attention or be completely present? Or even to learn anything new? Like, it's just too much effort for your brain? I feel like I have nuclear brain fog! BTW, I love your energy in your videos. I am 68 and I would love to have this energy again!
How have you stood this that many years? I'm over a year and losing my mind with worry it will never end! I can't live like this!
Been trying to figure out what’s going on with me for over a month, this might be it. My ears are fine, my blood work came back all normal, my eyes felt all “fuzzy” but there’s nothing going on with them. I’m experiencing ALL the symptoms. Vestibular exercises are definitely helping. And I’m a big fan of the whole “you just gotta throw yourself into those triggering situations” because after laying in bed for 3 weeks I was going crazy. Thank you for this, I feel a little less crazy!!!
Hey just wanted to ask when you say your eyes felt fuzzy..do you mean like a kind of static and things seem to shimmer and out of focus and make your eyes feel numb and just weird like grainy and dim like there is a light behind them or something. Its so hard to explain
Hi how are you doing now? Did you ever get a diagnosis?
@@katiealanna I did a lot of physiotherapy to relax the muscles at the base of my neck and I quit the nasty habit I had of cracking it all the time. I’m all good now!

Wow, i been dealing with this for the last 11 month, all labs normal, ct scan , mri , all normal. Thank you for your video
I hope you find the answers you need!
Amazing
Omg your symptoms are exactly like mine, especially the head pressure thing, I literally felt it heavy over my eyes😂
Eugh that was one of the worstttt symptoms hated it!!💀😂
I feel like I have an elevator dropping on my forehead😲😲😲😲😲😲
Do you get a heavy head and a feeling like a balloon blowing up between your ears? Crap isn't it
Did it go away?
Thank you so much for posting these videos! They bring me so much hope and they are so helpful! I’ve been doing the exercises you posted and omg it literally changed my life. I’ve not had bad/long lasting dizzynes in 3 months now! I do get it maybe a few times but not as bad!! I am still doing the exercises!
Ahh you don’t know how happy that makes me, so glad to hear they are effective for you!! 🥰
How long did you have PPPD for and how long before you seen results doing the exercises?
@@clairchetwood9777 hi, I’ve had pppd for 4 years now and I still have it but doing the exercises made me life so much better! You should definitely give them a go! Make sure to do them everyday! Results vary per person. I believe mine took a month because I fully noticed results.
@@queensarah9622 how do you feel now?
@@DiamondForevah much much better. I’ve been like 90% okay for a couple months now
I think I have PPPD...but I also have cervical neck pain ...been to my Dr and ENT many chiropractors all is good....I've been dealing with anxiety for many yrs the off balance cause my anxiety to trigger ...and the dizziness comes on more with my eye glasses at times
Dude same!!!!
Thank you for your videos. It was you who I first came across that I really felt like I related to before I self diagnosed myself pppd.
Question though... did you have nausea? I have lots of it. I know it's a common symptoms amongst pppd sufferers, but you have never mentioned it?
Hey! Yes I did have nausea but I think that was from the anxiety part of it if that makes sense- so the symptoms from the PPPD were making me feel that anxious that then I would start to get more general anxiety symptoms too! I would only feel nausea during my lectures though I developed this weird fear of throwing up infront of my class or having a dizzy spell whilst around lots of people- I never once threw up though!
I've had it for over 35 years, since I was about 7 or 8. I've seen multiple specialists, even went to the Mayo Clinic. Nobody could ever tell me what I had, they thought it was either just a inner ear problem or migraines. It's been very depressing and frustrating. I hadn't seen a specialist since about 09 until about 2 months ago and I just found out about pppd and it sounds exactly how I feel and it's just a relief to finally knowing what is wrong with me! I'm still getting another MRI and ENG tests but I'm most certainly positive it is pppd... I can't go on long walks, and open spaces make it worst. Any kind of physical activity also makes it worst. Same with large crowds.. Feels like I'm on a boat when walking and sometimes while walking it feels like you get pushed to the side out of nowhere. Thank you for the video.
Gosh I would not wish that on ANYONE! Thanks so much for sharing your story, you’re the definition of a true warrior and I hope you can get your life back
I felt like I could have wrote this because these are exactly my symptoms but doctors just say it's just anxiety but it's more than just anxiety. I am not denying that I have anxiety but this does not help it either if it makes sense?
Make so much sense now! Thanks for the video. You have helped me linked a few missing questions in my healing pppd journey
Ah you’re so welcome glad it was useful :)
Hello Thank God I found your Channel and finally understood what was wrong with me with all that light sensitivity sudden lightheadedness and I felt really weird and now I am literally understanding everything and I am so sure that I have this PPPD I never knew what was wrong with me I always wanted to know if it was panic attack while it wasn’t a panic attack it was different and I do have anxiety and I am diagnosed with anxiety which all started after I got COVID-19 and after a couple months of being Diagnosed I was feeling better but then it came again and it all started again now I am having trouble with studying in school it is really hard for me, my question is does PPPD cause trouble of concentrating for example if it happens to you or it gets triggered will you have trouble concentrating and focusing the whole day? while your vision seems foggy and blurred and your head kind of hurts but some days you are doing fine? Also do you think stress also triggers the attack or makes it way worse to the point of your day being wasted? Thank you, sorry if you didn’t get my point very clearly english isn’t my first language.
i LOVE your pppd videos!! i think im finally on the right track to solving my dizziness :) i’ve been doing the exercises consistently for about 5 days now and i think that my symptoms have definitely hightened (dizziness, headache, nausea). did this happen to you too with the exercises? it sucks feeling worse but i also feel like im on the right track
Hey! Amazing to hear and yes to begin with they can get worse before they get better as your body isn’t used to all the moment, the idea is the more you do these movements the more used them your body gets and eventually stops overreacting- hope that’s helpful!
@@EMJAYstyles hi emjay 🙂 I wanna ask you something. You had pppd for over 3 year how do you feel now ? Do you feel normal ? And do you still do exercises?
And final question do you think ppd will go away anyway with time if there is not something medical wrong 😑 ?
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You have been helping me so much as I move through my own recovery. I watch your videos every day for some encouragement. Out of curiosity, did you notice your sensitivity to sound and light disappear gradually? I have been doing exercises regularly for the last 2 month and have noticed most of my symptoms have gone (not sensitive to natural light anymore, no more pressure in my head/eyes, no more dissassociation/foggy head, can go for walks without symptoms, can read on computer screens, and watch tv) but I am still noticing A LOT of symptoms when I am inside with indoor lighting (sensitivity to lights inside house/office/grocery store, & blur/spotty vision). Did you notice changes with certain environments before others?
How are you doing now Kelsey?
Hi. May I ask did you have the feeling of floor shifting when walking? Like walking on the walkways at the airport or walking on the boat?
Your answer would be really appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I am for the most part symptom free now... I do have off days where symptoms come back but normally it happens when I'm super stressed or have been pushing myself too hard. With that said, the symptoms are not nearly as bad as they were and disappear quickly as long as I rest. I think one of the key things is not stressing when the symptoms flare up.
Yes I did feel like the floor was shifting too especially when there were patterns on the ground (tiles) or in very busy environments like the grocery store or a shopping mall.
@@kelseymeagher8063 thank you so much. Your answer means a lot to me 🙏🏻 so the wobbly floor symptom wasn’t 24/7? Because mine is 24/7. And May I ask how long did it take time to be symptom free?
@@kelseymeagher8063 will be thankful if you help me with your answer 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I feel my worse symptoms are dissociation and light sensitivity but im making progress and can almost do everything again. I was just wondering of you ever did like actual gym exercises because it's the one thing I'm not sure I can do yet .
Hello, I love you’re videos on this. I’m thinking about starting CBD because I had bad side effects with Sertraline. Have you ever used it?
Hey! Yes I have it’s good for nights you’re extra anxious and for days where you have a lot on, but I wouldn’t say it would work as a treatment for the symptoms overall? Just takes the edge off- I’ve done a video here about CBD which may help:) ua-cam.com/video/f2fpqXUZHj0/v-deo.html
The phone screen is a weird one for me, I agree it gives you a good point of focus when the outside environment is getting too much, it’s just when I then look away from the screen and into the distance it really messes with my vision even more, I can hardly focus on anything at all
You explained this PERFECTLY! It’s like your eyes have adjusted to the screen and zoned out, so when you look back up it’s like jheeeze I can’t refocus there is tooo much going on😩
Yes. This happens to me. If I focus on something near me I’m ok, but if I look up and there’s lots going on around me my head can’t deal with all the info it’s receiving. For instance… in a busy garden centre restaurant I had to focus on the food I was eating, because when I looked around me, although, weirdly, I could see everything CLEARLY, it felt as is my head couldn’t deal with all the movement and info and I felt ‘dizzy’ inside.
@@marilynburnett8741 this is soo me did you recover?
Feel ALL of these symptoms! I’ve felt like I'm dying so often... I stopped doing the VRT because I wasn’t seeing results but I will start again! :) Thank you for this video!
Yep the symptoms are the worstttt and amazing hope they are effective for you !!
@@EMJAYstyles I commented on another post you’ve had. So let me just explain my thing -- It all started after multiple battles with panic attacks - I would get temple pressure , light sensitivity , etc. I feel like when I’m exercising I’m kind of out of my body. - feeling Jelly like , and when I ran and Etc I would feel like I was floating or about to fall down , even walking in stores and anywhere public. And of course it causes more anxiety. Does this make sense ?

Thankyou so much for this video, I’ve been struggling for a good few months now and all symptoms you mention seem to be what I am dealing with too! Is it normal to feel quite unaware of your surroundings and feeling asthough your not in your own body?
It is so hard to explain but I feel as though I’m aware of what I’m doing but I don’t feel like I’m in control of my own head and body
Very scary :(
Yes, that's called derealization and MANY people with vestibular issues and pppd describe that feeling. Hope you're doing well now
Megan please do part 2 of this video. So many of us are being helped by this information. Do you get that feeling where you are being pushed to the side when you take a walk? I had this many years ago and it went away, but since doing the VT exercises it has come back.
Hey! I will do very soon when I have some spare time☺️ yes!! It’s the worsttt but I started doing this thing where I actually imagine it’s someone pushing me so I’ll push back rather than giving into it, and force myself to walk straight! Yeah mine came back too🥲 but I notice if I’m out and about more often I don’t really get it it’s moreso when I haven’t been out much so keeping active is key!
@@EMJAYstyles God bless you!
@@EMJAYstyles You are having PPPD symptoms now?

Do the the anti depressants and muscle relaxers help?
@@rachellepolandaya6067 hello. I stopped muscle relaxers about a month after this comment. I'm on topamax for migraines, vasoserc for the dizziness and seroxat for antidepressants, this combo has helped me manage myself and feel 90% healed, I feel a bit dizzy here and there but nothing that I cant manage. I encourage you to join Facebook groups, with PPPD you just have to face your fear with the dizziness and realise you will not fall and push through the feeling. And exposure therapy. The best to you
Just to be clear, you feel dizzy and not lightheaded? I feel lightheaded 80% of the time, I do not feel dizzy at all. Just curious what country do you live? I'm surprised that cure for this kind of illness is available. Also surprised that you're 90% healed. Such an excellent medical system! Does it cost a lot of money?
had this chronic dizziness for almost 3 months now, but lately this week had i just started to notice the symptoms of pppd which are unsteadiness and felt like i was in an elevator drop 24/7. my neuro told me it was vertigo so i had to take medications but that was it, watching videos like this will help me to recover faster, hopefully. i just want my life back so bad😭

I think I might have PPPD, since the latter half of august I started feeling like I was going to pass out and it was a very strong feeling for days on end, then I started to have daily headaches alongside the lightheadedness and it was very stressful, I’m hoping to see a neurologist because out of the last 3 months I’ve only had about 6 days when I haven’t felt lightheaded or disabled by a headache or completely out of balance, this alongside mental health issues makes me feel like I’m going to die

Thankyou. I felt all these symptomps and everyone keeps asking me what do I feel. I can't even describe it. Go to a Neuro-Otologist, Specialist of the inner ear and brain. Ask them to run a high resolution CT scan of the temporal bone. They will also run various balance tests. You may find all your answers there. Please consider. It took me nearly a year to figure out what type of specialist I should see. Neurotologist!
@@Hi.Shadow hi, thankyou! have you recovered? what did they say?
@@vannd6117 I am still going through whatever this is that is affecting my hearing and balance. My symptoms are 24/7 feeling of on a ship, sound induced dizziness and nausea, also chronic tinnitus in right ear. I visited a Neuro-Otologist last week, after seeing 3 ENT's and had 2 MRI's, all of which came back normal. . He is the first specialist to recommend CT scan and VNG, VEMP, ENG, which are tests of the balance mechanism, so that will take place later this month. I've been dealing with these symptoms since December, last year. Rehabilitation Therapy did not work for me.
@@Hi.Shadow did it came so suddenly like mine? I rarely have vertigo and this really made me confused. My neurologist prescribed me anti depressant because I said sometimes it feels okay and normal but sometimes it worse..Praying for your recovery as well
@@vannd6117 I think mine was caused by some form of barotrauma when an Ear Nose Throat doctor performed Cerumen removal with a French suction tool. My symptoms came slowly but surely. I don’t suspect we share the same condition but I would still encourage you to see an Neuro-otologist because they speak the Vestibular Dizziness balance language, which many other doctors don’t, not even Neurologist.
Thank you for making these videos! Do you find that your eyes can't keep up with movement? I have a hard time processing movement when I'm in the grocery store, driving, or even simply walking on the sidewalk. The outside environment just feels too much and I just want to close my eyes.
100% couldn’t put it better myself! It’s all just so intense and overwhelming on the eyes
Feeling exactly the same!!
Totally - in the beginning the medics suspected a stroke, and asked, if I had double vision. But I had not. Several weeks later I could descibe it as "I can see clear and sharply, but at the same time it seems to be like my eyes focus on something behind the thing a really focus on" - all getting worse on movement.
Couldn’t have worded it better myself!
@@Illiankaitha Very good description. I sometimes feel my eye movements are slow, they're trailing back. Have things gotten better for you?

I've had it for 11 months now had to quit work can't Evan go into shop, stared to vestibular rehabilitation and I think it's getting worse
I've been watching your videos back to back. I think I've been suffering from PPPD for the last 8 years. I've done all the tests, everything has been ruled out and it's been chalked down to anxiety. I was wondering when you had a flare up, was it worse when you were tired?
I noticed that when I have a "flare" up, i feel a lot more dizzy and off balance when I'm tired (and the anxiety and anticipation just keep me up at night. It's an endless cycle.)
Hey! yes definitely, a bad nights sleep would make me feel horrible probably because the tiredness/weak feelings were combined with the dizziness
And I recommend maybe trying CBD oil before bed, I didn’t use it while I had dizziness I discovered it when I was better but it definitely helps me on nights I don’t feel great in general/am over focusing on my body feeling weird
@@EMJAYstyles hi☺️ you mentioned this sinking feeling in bed or for me in bed and even couch.
Is there any special exercises for this sinking feeling for you?? Or was it just the combination of time and exercises?
@@leviackermann188 hey! The exercises healed all the dizziness feelings! From feeling unbalanced, to having a fuzzy head, to the sinking feeling in bed 😁
@@EMJAYstyles it’s interesting 🧐 but nice to hear that it helped you!
I got all symtomes away last year (I’m 2years in now) like nystagmus eye movement balance issues to the right and left and counting. The only one which is still there is this sinking/falling feeling on my left side while walking it’s like gravity pulls me to the ground and in bed this sinking one.
Nooooooow!! My brain 🧠is freaking out like „mh ok 2years still symtomes this shit can never go away“ which leads me to be anxous about that…
I just wanna get rid off the last sinking symtomes it’s horrible 😪 I thought there is a special one because eyes exercise I don’t think they can heal this sinking feeling as well
hey emjay, did you notice a flare up or a cool down if youve drank alcohol? back in december 2020 i would get so so dizzy when i was hungover like literally couldnt move or walk without holding onto something but now it doesnt affect me. was curious what someone who else who has PPPD thinks about it since alcohol and what you are eating are never talked about.
Hey, alcohol was a weird one sometimes it would help me as a distraction, and other times it would just add to my dizziness. Hangover wise I would be extra dizzy, and regarding food personally diet has a pretty big impact on how you feel overall. I actually found out more recently that I'm lactose intolerant and that was also making me feel unwell in combo with my PPPD, and eating more fruits/veg and nutritious food helps overcome the lethargy associated with PPPD

i really only feel dizzy or like i’m swaying at supermarkets, stores, concerts, and school. i don’t think it’s all just anxiety bc of how it started so i think i might have pppd
Yes usually it helps to think if you had a certain trigger that might have caused initial dizziness, and then with PPPD that dizziness will manifest into a more constant feeling. Whereas normal anxiety usually won't cause persistent dizziness it would be more on and off in relation to specific anxiety provoking situations :)

@@Seung217 It started out as a dizzy feeling which proceeded into a rocking sensation, and it felt like I was walking on a trampoline. It was never vertigo no (as this is spinning dizziness) but it would make me lightheaded and overwhelm my eyes as if they couldn’t keep up, I don’t take any medication. I got rid of my dizziness solely with vestibular therapy:)

Hey, I didn't get neck pain but I think my neck was a bit stiff from not moving it much
Did you get ringing in your ears/Tinnitus ? How did you know you didnt have vestibular migraine per say, the symptoms are very similar.
No I didn’t! And the key difference between PPPD and VM is the type of dizziness you feel, PPPD is more lightheadedness, feeling faint, and feeling like you’re moving when you aren’t whereas VM is more vertigo style room is spinning which I never had:)
Questions do you think going to the gym will help?
is feeling motion sick a symptom? specifically when moving your head
I felt more like I had whiplash when I moved my head, I’d have to move it very slowly to avoid getting a fuzzy/dizzy head but wouldn’t say it made me feel sick personally!

Hi, I’m currently going through this. It started last year in March of 2022 and then went away in July of that year, however I also relapsed this year in February again, I’ve been doing these exercises and I’ve noticed I’m getting better again just some off days and mainly now just dizziness if I’m cleaning or moving around a lot I’ll get like motion sickness sometimes, Did that ever happen to you? Hoping I can also fully recover from this I’m a mom of 2 littles and dealing with this while trying to parent can be tough and sometimes depressing 😢
Also now that you have recovered do you still do your exercises? I’m scared to get somewhat better and then relapse again
I just got home from a balance test they referred me to a physical therapy and to neurologist because my right ear wasn't responding like my left one and they trying rule out something in the central nervous system but all the symptoms you say it's exactly what I fell all the time so did you go to the neurologist for cns? IDK IM JUST AFRAID NOW 😨
Hey! I didn’t actually see a neurologist surprisingly, that would’ve been my next specialist I went to but I got my answers from the ENT (ear nose and throat) clinic, it was a hearing and balance therapist that gave me the vestibular exercises to do at home that got rid of my symptoms over time! Don’t panic girl conditions like this are nasty in that they feel realllly serious because of the symptoms but realistically you aren’t in danger- you will be okay and you will get better try and be as positive as possible as it really does help when it comes to recovery☺️
You should do a video on the exercises that helped you

Hi , did you have any neck pain or tight neck muscles. My daughter has these symptoms however she says the neck pain and tightness gets worse with the vestibular exercises .She also sees zig zag lines or blurred vision and gets a mild headache that stops a few minutes after the exercises are complete.
I didn’t but it’s extremely common to have these symptoms because you’re avoiding moving your head in fear that it’ll prompt a dizziness episode. Yes it’s normal to have symptoms straight after the exercises as your body is still getting used to the movements. The idea is that the more you expose your body to these movements, the more it gets used to them until eventually your body no longer freaks out when you move your head!
Hi, so I started having dizziness a few days ago. It has only got worse. I have been stressed lately. I feel my eyes can't focus. It is worse when there is a lot of movement and when standing. The room isn't spinning its more more like I am and worse when I shift my head to the left. My doctor checked my ears and they are normal. I feel I can't run when I do I feel like I'll stumble.
Ah this does sound like a potential PPPD case! As you've only had it a few days I'd just focus on first getting tests done to rule out other conditions and hopefully you can get to the bottom of it soon
Did your doc do the Dix Hallpike test to check for BPPV? Before you self diagnose with PPPD please make sure you have your crystals checked by a good ent. If no nystagmus present then you could and should explore PPPD but don't write yourself off before that.
I had BPPV on my left as well, again a week ago and now dealing with residual dizziness, not necessarily PPPD yet.
how many times a day did you do them?
Once in the morning to begin then when I started to get used to them (maybe after a month) I started doing evenings too before bed:)

I been lightheaded ness constantly for 4 months and been feeling very tired and confused and sometimes blurry vision is that similar to what you were feeling ?
Yes they were some of my symptoms, I’d suggest being referred for some tests to rule other conditions out and also mention PPPD to your doctor:)
@@EMJAYstyles tysm for the advice I’m getting a blood test
I get more of pppd when it rains
Is it normal
I don’t know if you’ll see this cause this was a year ago but I’ve had anxiety since I was 10 years old as I got older it got worse … then November 28th 2021 I had my very panic attack it was terrible I was driving and I instantly thought I was going to pass out I had to pull over because I started freaking out. And ever since then I’ve felt dizzy all the time I can’t go anywhere with out having a panic attack because I’m afraid of passing out. My vision is so bad I struggle with not being able to focus it’s so hard it feels like my eyes are moving when there not. I also get head aches and neck pain pretty often. I also often feel disconnected from myself always very spaced out. I don’t really have a fear of falling though I don’t know if not having a fear of falling takes pppd out of the Question for me. but feeling like I’m gonna pass out getting super dizzy and feeling like I’m moving is the worst part about what I’m going through it’s gotten so bad that I’ve had to go to the er multiple times I’ve had blood work a hand full of times they were normal my ct was normal my heart scans were also normal. The only things I need to do now is get my eyes and ears checked. I’m just very irritated and so over feeling like this. I miss being able to drive I had to quit my job I stopped hanging out with my friend and family I’m in my bed most of the day because I’m so afraid of going out and passing out or even feeling like this in public is so scary to me. I’ll be sitting there and all the sudden I feel extremely weird dizzy and faint. But the doctors and er nurses have told me it’s all in my head and it’s just anxiety and I hate hearing that because what I’m feeling is so real. I also get neck twitches I don’t know if that’s a part of pppd but this is just so so scary :(
Hey! I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this I know how disheartening it can feel when doctors just shrug it off, with the balance/fear of falling I wouldn’t say you necessarily have to have this in order to have the condition- and a big barrier is that a lot of doctors still don’t know about it, hence why a lot of people struggle to get diagnosed! I recommend trying the vestibular exercises from my other PPPD video as these are effective for a range of dizziness conditions and it’s a long term solution! I’m going to be creating a guide soon with alll my tips and advice for those who suffer with dizziness/ think they might have PPPD so this may be helpful for you ♥️♥️
@@EMJAYstyles Thank you so much honestly it really is disheartening and so exhausting… and on top of pppd if that’s what I have like I said I have anxiety pretty bad and it makes it 20x worse because I make myself sick because I worry so bad about it. EXCEPT! I just started a new one cause I was one one for a good 6 years so hopefully this one does something for me! Again thank you for the info I’m so glad I found your video it gives me some hope!🤍
Also do you get dream like vision I can’t deal with it or stand it
This all came on from a severe vitmain issue but I am taking the b12 shots and following what meds I need so it’s weird
Also got my vit D levels up so it’s not that causing it anymore if it was
Got heart checked seen so many DRs they look at the v12 still cus it can cause nerve damage and it’s also been a stressful time so maybe caused this even cus when things move it’s worse
Seen a eye doctor they checked for diseases I don’t seem to have any so it’s weird
I got foggy vision which might be similar, felt really spaced out at times and had episodes of dissociation (when id look down at my hands it felt really scary like I wasn’t looking at my hands) it could be this then potentially! Symptoms are scary but the cause often isn’t so try not to panic too much at this stage :)
@@EMJAYstyles exactly how I feel I feel like I’m not me and I am transgender I lost weight so I look less masculine than I did it’s all bugging me along with my health issues as well as this. My vision is so weird and everything moves so scary and hard to cope with

I feel like I have this too .. for a month and a half now 😭 I have taken a few weeks off of work 😭 is there anything that makes it better 😭 besides moving?
For me it was mainly just the vestibular rehab exercises and keeping a positive mindset! CBD can also help for those days when you might have social plans or something that makes you feel more anxious than usual
So body heaviness and weakness is a symptom as well as this came when the PPPD came back after a year. Is BPV also a part of this as I got that before the PPPD. So how do we know if this is PPPD or vestibular migraine as the symptoms are quite similar. I am just worried that I will have this forever now and even if it goes away my anxiety will bring it back. Just wonder why after all the years ive had anxiety that its happening now..could it be old age as many people get dizziness when they get older
I get this all the time, specially if I've not eaten. It's like all the strength has been sucked out of me. Very frustrating. It can be treated with vestibular rehab and CBT so it's not a lost cause.

I wish I could talk to you privately I need help I feel like im going insane. I also have derealisation. Please help me :(
I’m so sorry to hear it’s got really bad for you, the main thing I can recommend based off realising myself that avoiding makes everything worse is creating a step by step challenge for yourself (VERY small steps so you don’t get overwhelmed). So for example you say you collect the mail out at night, challenge yourself to collect it a couple hours earlier so there’s a littleee bit of light outside, and as you get more comfortable with that you can gradually get comfortable to collecting the mail in the day, start opening more curtains- and very hard but being less negative seriously helps as I find if you convince yourself you’ll never get better you kinda don’t commit to getting better if that makes sense? also check out my vestibular exercises vid if you haven’t already as you can do those in the comfort of your own home! Dont overwhelm yourself with the end goal of going to malls as it won’t be realistic just yet, focus on small achievable steps and you’ll be surprised how far you get :) also any friends/family that can help would be really beneficial e.g. to link arms with when you want to start trying short walks outdoors
