Yeah, Victreebel is far too powerful, but a lot of Scott's top Pokemon could not do Super Minimum Battles on 0 DVs without vitamins, which is how I do all of these
As they generally are in Gen 1. Like it's 75% accurate, so strong enough and we just need sleep to last long enough to setup Swords Dance in many cases
From my understanding of how the badge boost glitch works, rather than not using it all due to being close to leveling up, you should use all but one boost and then use the final one after leveling up. According to my understanding of it, the game recalculates the badge boost so you would instantly go to the max badge boost glitch values. This allows you to have significantly higher stats before the level up.
Nah, you start again from scratch after the level up. You can see it in my overlay, since the stats on the left-hand side include the badge boosts in real-time
@@RBYPokemonChallenges I guess I'd been under the wrong impression then. Pretty sure another Pokemon channel I watch that uses the badge glitch boost on a regular basis said that it worked the way I'd explained. Speaking of your overlay, do you use some kind of specific software for that or something? I could see uses for something like that even when not recording videos.
Seriously. I am glad we finally have a response for him at the end when he says he never made any mistakes and his grandpa is just there trashing him in front of the neighbor kid 😂
@@_RiseAgainst well... we could go into stupid nitty gritty about the name "victreebell" not containing "victory" whatsoever, and the adjective being "victorious", but I'm just pulling your leg
Base stat total? More like BASED stat total. Jokes aside, the thing's ridiculous for the main campaign with all the ways it has to exploit glitches and mechanics.
Great vid! Victreebel is so good in gen 1. The last 5 mins or so from the champion onwards has a weird flashing on the video, which is kind of difficult to watch
Grass would kinda make sense but physical is probably best in sense since other pokemons can learn it as well. Instead a " grass wrap" move would be ideal
I think I agree overall on Yellow. onwards. In red/Blue I would say type beats stats because there are so many fights that the AI can be cheesed by certain types. Think Lance and Lorelei versus Poison and Fighting types for example.
420 stats, green and drops acid? Thinking of something snappy to say, but I'm not finding anything... 🤔 Anyway, Venusaur has a special place in my heart, but Victreebel is my fav grass type (and poison by default), amazing design and versatility! LFG!!!
"We love being flashed by Sabrina"
Brother What
.... we were all thinking it....
She’s like 14!
56:54 for the video glitches
Seeing how it's on the top list of Scotty's rankings, I'm sure it will be doing amazing
Yeah, Victreebel is far too powerful, but a lot of Scott's top Pokemon could not do Super Minimum Battles on 0 DVs without vitamins, which is how I do all of these
I do appreciate you speeding up those intermissions for each gym leader
For sure. I will be rethinking them in my overlay update, but it's a fix for now.
Soooo lucky on that Sabrina fight. Very good
YOLO
16:40 Using Dig there would have been hilarious.
I get the feeling this run will be largely dictated by how good the Sleep Powder luck is.
Nope, it was dictated by Gen 1 AI being Gen 1 AI.

I shiny hunted this pokemon 3 separate times in scarlet and violet so I approve of this!
Sounds like work, good on you!
That flareon smog was so funny lmao. Second last rival battle was a meme XD

Stay with me here... If you take it's fangs out 😅
Now I see why you reuploaded
Yeah, my system had some sort of error during the render that I didn't catch...
Victreebel is doing super well in this run for sure
More Victreebel incoming in Blue...
The editing in this video is superb! 👏🏻 👏🏻
Victreebel is my favorite
IMHO the Entire Bellsprout line is pure crap even at lv 100.
I may have a few things that prove otherwise. Hold my beer...
Name uses the adjective "victory". What did y'all expect?
Yeah, the name kind of gives it away, doesn't it?
isn't victory a noun though? :P
@@tehdave192TBH I majored in Biology, but it seems in this case, victory is describing the bell. Bell being the noun.

i like victreebel
Me too
Was always a part of my final 6 the first 20 times I beat the game as a kid
I Like Shorts!
🗣
During the champion stuff becomes glitchy
Let me check that....
Victreebell got that Elvis hair looking back sprite 😂😂
Yeah, the backsprite is wild 😂
@@RBYPokemonChallenges The back Pokémon sprites in Red, Blue, and Yellow are based on the front sprites from Pokémon Red and Green.
23:12 I think the moveset looks kinda cursed (purely optical). You rarely see so many two-word moves on a pokemon.
True, usually a one-word move is there somewhere
Victreebell is one of my favs so thank you❤
Base stat total? More like BASED stat total.
Jokes aside, the thing's ridiculous for the main campaign with all the ways it has to exploit glitches and mechanics.
Yeah, Victreebel is truly OP in Gen 1.
I'm confused why you used swords dance and razor leaf. Crits ignore stat changes.
I'm not using Swords Dance for Razor Leaf, I'm using it for Acid and Hyper Beam
Do you think Lt. Surge was buffed or nerfed in Y in comparison to RB?
Nerfed. But it was suppose to be like the anime
Buffed. His Voltorb and Pikachu were just free eats in Red/Blue and Raichu was hard-walled by any Ground type.
Great vid! Victreebel is so good in gen 1. The last 5 mins or so from the champion onwards has a weird flashing on the video, which is kind of difficult to watch

Man if only wrap was a grass or poison type attack.
Grass would kinda make sense but physical is probably best in sense since other pokemons can learn it as well.
Instead a " grass wrap" move would be ideal
Gras Wrap would be awesome and lore-appropriate on Bulbasaur
Bro dropped a lot of acid in this one
Yeah, we were trying to be like Erika, and channeling Blaine from the anime
@@WaveDoodford also blaze it everyday with stats. ;)
it has a chance to turn into acid rap
I feel like in terms of importance for a solo challenge:
Learnset > Stats > Type
I think I agree overall on Yellow. onwards. In red/Blue I would say type beats stats because there are so many fights that the AI can be cheesed by certain types. Think Lance and Lorelei versus Poison and Fighting types for example.
This video gave me a great idea for a Pokemon playthrough. I'll try it for myself and maybe use it to start my own channel.
Good luck! I look forward to seeing it.

I agree, Victreebel is a cool Pokemon.
Nice
