Samsung needs a better main camera, the thing people use most. And to fix display HDR on samsung phones, and also increase regular and hdr brightness, not just peak outside under the direct sun brightness.
I'd also like better image processing. Why am I getting better results with Gcam, optimized for a completely different set of lenses, than with Samsung Camera which should be tuned precisely for the s23u lenses?
@TheElementSwing I personally think the medium image processing setting in the built-in camera app yields very nice and natural results. The Max setting looks pretty nasty, over processed, oversharpened (like we're used to on phones). At least with Samsung, you get the option, unlike many other brands. I've had a dabble with gcam, opencam in the past, but on the S24U, it just doesn't feel necessary.

@@RJA There are downsides for sure. Video doesn't work with 3x and 10x so I use the Samsung app for that. But the version I have most definitely has better image quality in good light, no contest. In overcast conditions it's similar. I have the LMC version 17 with Javasabr sharp xml/config file. Much less over-sharpening and more visible detail, and I can clean up the pictures and make them a bit sharper in post without losing detail. For some people the lack of auto lens switching when pinching to zoom is an issue, I only use the prime 0.6/1/3/10x lenses and crop in post if I want different composition. The S23u does take some impressive photos, the only grievance I have is the 10x photos are much softer and less detailed than the 3x. I guess there's only so much you can get from that tiny periscope lens!

I'm hoping, but not holding my breath, that the smaller S25, non-Ultra gets the same ram options as the Ultra. 16gb shouldn't be too much to ask for, considering they gave the S21 Ultra that much back in 2021.
And it was possible to have 1+1 TB of storage in 2019 (S10+) ... I'm not sure if I regret buying an 8+256 SKU of the S23U but I won't repeat that mistake with, likely, an S26U.
I'll be honest....as much as i want them to increase the battery to 5200 or 5500 mah, I would be even happier if they went up to 75w charging or higher! If they could mimic One Plus I think it would he a significant change for us Samsung users.....45w has been too slow for too many years!
It's better for your battery if you charge it at night, when you are not using (so no double heating from CPU + charger). so the charging speed is not even significant, you just use it wrong, the battery doesn't like the fully depleted mode.. (also not the best the fully charged battery, but with AI in phone, you can just stop the charging at 80% for example)
YES thank you. Samsung's charging is GARBAGE. People saying it damages your battery are dumb. I have a 5 year old OnePlus phone that charges way faster and the battery still works perfectly. Samsung is the last company (besides Apple) still holding out on decent charging speeds. The Samsung doesn't even last all day from the start, so it can't get much worse anyway!

Pixel,galaxy and iphone have the best software and camera compared to any chinese phones. They need to improve the Plus line to replace the space that the S ultra line lost, the current Ultra line still needs a pen, just to make the Plus line more worth buying, not just an enlarged version of the basic line, it also helps them compete in the price segment better because when it comes to the S series, its features other than the ultra line often look really inadequate for the price when compared to what Chinese brands bring to phones at that price.
Samsung should change the 5x camera to a 6x or 7x camera so we get better long range zoom shots on the S25 Ultra. The 3x and 5x are too close to each other (1.67 zoom realtively), and phone cameras are usually 2-3x relative to each other. Changing 5x to 6x will improve the 100x zoom and be spaced out better (3x to 6x is 2x relatively). (0.6x, 1x, 3x, 6x)

i got a vertical green line on my note 20 ultra, and then horizontal green line on s22 ultra. both happened after 2 years of usage. tq Samsung, lesson learned.
You dont have to keep up with the newest model. Those who have a note 8, 20 or s21 should upgrade. Anything after that, you're good for a couple of years. I stayed with my s22 ultra and Ill get the 25 when it drops.

I use a s24+ just because I can't stand the design of the S24U. The square boxy design has always been a gripe of mine since they moved to that direction.
Dont worry about it. The performance jump in phones from one year to the next has become pretty marginal. The S24U will be a stonker of phone for a good few years yet, before it's worth an upgrade. Also now it has 7 year support, that should hopefully improve resale values if you decide to upgrade in a few years time. That's my plan anyways 😁

There are 4 ways of increasing screen size concerning the length, breadth, bezel size and degree of curvature of the screen.
The haptics feedback and speaker quality need improvements. The Google Pixel like haptics should be there in S25 series.

I haven't bothered with a new Samsung since the S10. That phone did pretty much everything until the mobo died, as they all do with every Samsung I've owned, save the S7 I still have. Last phone I really got excited by was the HTC One!!
