Very beautiful and lovingly made video, we like it a lot. Our small team was recently in Chiang Mai and can only confirm what you show in your video. However, we are tourists who generally avoid tourist areas as much as possible and go to places where there are fewer tourists. In Chiang Mai, the night bazaar and Niaman Road were therefore less interesting for us. We were drawn to the north of the city, where almost only Thais live and where only a few tourists get lost. The Santhitam district is one of these districts, here we found various gay bars that are only frequented by Thais, such as "Meeting Club Karaoke" or "BRC Karaoke & Host" - endless fun. The Adam's Apple Club in Santitham is also an absolute must, friendly and cool shows, which we will definitely visit again.
Connections has a long history originally started by an Aussie called Ray in the 90's, he was a real character but sadly passed a few years back during a cataract operation of all things - but its great the name still lives on.
Seven years ago there were only a few You Tube gay content creators mainly in the US of which I was subbed to most of them. A few years after that some gay Asian Americans also started to post on UA-cam but in the last few years there have been more and more gay content creators who are in Asia. It is great to see them all bloom and they continue to grow by leaps and bounds as they discover their own freedoms amist the Asian conservatisms that are very prevalent amungst the older generations. Only exception to that were the Lady Boys in Bangkok. I used to have a friend whose parents were from Korea and they could never accept him for who he was. Yes, I've mainly only dated Aian guys in my life and I look forwards to traveling to Asia in the next year or so. Most American men are not into Asian guys so not sure if your audience would be inspired.
Thank you for watching. Asian men are beautiful 😍. In Los Angeles there seems to be a very large group of non Asian men who are into Asian men. The rice qweeens have grow hahahahah
I met a Thai lady from Bangkok, living in my town in the USA who assumed I was g-y. Well it is true that I am male and only physically attracted to some other men, but she assumed I was stereotypically g-y, which is very offensive. I literally had to tell her I was str8, so she would stop treating me like a fem stereotypical g-y clown. I just don't have the time and energy to educate ignorant others on the different types of g-y people. The problem is a fem quality to my voice which I consider a curse. I play competitive basketball and do CrossFit regularly. I am not into the stereotypical g-y scene at all. I am what is known as a "str8 - g-y" which you hardly ever see portrayed in mass media.
Thank you for watching and I would always say that you can never say that somebody’s gay cause they have a damn voice. Mike Tyson doesn’t exactly always have the most masculine voice, but he’ll kick your ass. lol people are definitely ignorant. I have to agree with you.
Chiang Mai seemed very 1st world and was very clean. I’d strongly recommend a visit to the elephant sanctuary, and the shopping malls in Chiang Mai were pretty neat. As far as Connections is concerned, very friendly bar BUT beware, cause there were a couple of underage boys working there during my visit.
Thank you for watching ❤️ we definitely noticed the guys looked young but the authorities regularly check workers id and age. The legal age is 18 and Asians can look much younger than westerners at that age.
@ That is definitely true. Young Asians, particularly Thais, Laotians, Cambodians and especially Vietnamese, can look about 3 years younger than their actual age. But one of the boys I came across who was working there looked especially young, so out of curiosity I asked to see his ID which he obliged. Turns out he was 15! Most of the other employees there, however, were in the 19- and 20-year-old range.
@@biggooseadventures Probably should have, but I’m not sure what the Thai police would have done. Considering how corrupt the Thai police are, it might have created problems for me! But as long as he wasn’t going off with any farangs, perhaps it was ok. Fortunately I don’t think it was a common occurrence at that bar.
The gay scene is much more mixed in and laid back than BKK or even Phuket. Zoe in Yello bar complex in Old Town is the draw for most under 35 group. Gay and straight. A complex of a variety of music styles, bars, and Zoe’s dance palace. Indoor/outdoor setting that is fun. Massage for men some have asked…Cheval located by the airport. And quite a few in the apps too that are usually decent providers.
I find Chiang Mai charming and if I decide to move to Thailand as an ex-pat, Chiang Mai is high on my list of places to live. There are some gorgeous tempIes worth visiting! I have only one problem with this town however: there is a season when the nearby farms go through massive burning of their fields. The whole region has lingering smoke and the air quality is not good.
Unfortunately we didn’t get one there but when you google map search it the nicer the faculties look the more likely it’s a legitimate place. Thank you for watching.
@ I actually had a very bad experience at a very sordid place called “Common massage”where I was attacked by the scumbag who run the place simply bcz he tried to cheat me!!!I wrote a very bad review about that disgusting mafia run place who should be shut down and the scumbag should be jailed !
Josh and Ben I like some information on buying a condo in a gay operated condominium in Pattaya. Cost per month, bills so on. I assume Pattaya is more popular place than jomtien beach area or Bangkok am I correct??? I appreciate what you can find out while your visiting in Thailand. Thank you. Dale

Ok, preface here, Im bi, not gay. (No, not trying to figure it out, not a phase, and no i dont just screw anything). 😂 That said, i never understood why a gay couple goes to a gay bar ? Of course, if its a open relationship/lifestyle type thing, then i get it, but if not, then why ?? Is it just an atmosphere you feel accepted ? Safety in numbers type of thing ? Being bi, im not really accepted by anyone. Too straight for the gays, too gay for the straights. Ive actually had a harder time the one time i ever went to a gay bar, because i was bi, than ive ever had from straight folks. So, i dont really have anywhere that i would feel completely comfortable. So just asking out of personal curiosity and lack of understanding why. Cheers !
Good questions mostly because we don’t have kids so unless we have a house party or something to go too it definitely fills time and we meet a lot of new people. I don’t think in Los Angeles being Bi is an issue at all. Everyone is accepted here. Thailand also doesn’t have an issue with bi.
@@biggooseadventures -OK, cool. Yeah, north Texas is not quite as accepting as LA, bible belt and all. However, we are moving back to Puerto Rico for retirement next month, and that is an extremely accepting place. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me. I love your videos.
