How to Brew a Belgian Golden Strong Ale FULL BREW DAY & Recipe

- Our buddy Charlie from @goldenhivemead stopped by to brew his first beer with us. In honor of Golden Hive, we figured a Belgian Golden Strong Ale with honey and Honeycomb Cereal was the move. We show the entire process, from milling the grain to fermentation. Despite the fact that we used actual cereal to make the beer, this beer was phenomenal and we highly recommend this recipe.

I love Emmet's philosophy about home brewing, more people should think like him. Just have fun! Awesome collab
Love to see some of the old brew content back. Keep
It coming !
Funnily enough, the Belgian golden strong ale is the whole reason I got into homebrewing. I had one when I was out of town and haven't been able to find any locally, so I thought "I wonder if I can recreate that?" And I've been brewing ever since. Love the content. Someday I hope I get to brew on your system! Stovetop and kettle it is for me for now
Kyle “old man strength” pulling out the grain basket with one arm 💪
Those Clawhammer hats are 🔥!!!!
Damn that is an absolutely gorgeous looking beer I wanna try it so bad
Never heard of him. But I will subscribe. You guys are the best though. Love from Australia
Dammit! Now you come out with the embossed kettle markings...lol I can barely read my etched markings anymore.
After watching your videos for the past few years, I finally saved up enough 💰 and ordered my 20 gallon 240v system! I cant wait for it to arrive Monday. How do i get hooked up with one of those killer hats Kyle & Emmet? 😉
Nice! Hollar if you have any questions and make sure to send some pics of what you brew. We only made a few hats. Should we stock them and sell em?
For sure! @ClawhammerSupply
Kyle to old man suds stud !😂
I love it! thanks for another video. Love the style! Dangerously Crushable lol
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE TO BREW. I perfected my own recipe of the Belgian Blonde Strong Ale for my wife and our wedding. This was my third version which I borrowed notes and additions from a master brewer and my cousin who's won several brew competitions on the west coast. I'm happy to share with you my 13abv BondSki (yes my wife is Polish) custom recipe that left many blacked out after our wedding night which I provided 13 gallons. (They all report no hangover, just angry wives.) Let me know where to send the email????
"My first batch was really shitty "
That's how we all started brother.
Mine was straight up poison. My body rejected that so fast and iv eaten fermented fish.
Now I need a new kettle.
Ive tried golden hive in beer/malt.
Do you guys allow people to come see your spot?? I live super close and we would love to come see ya and meet ya. Thanks dudes
Please do a witbier, need to see your version
Brew Daddy lol
Great video. how would I get this recipe?
Go to harbor freight and buy yourselves a little electric lift 😊
Do you guys have a supplier in Australia for your system?
If you’re using honey for at least 50% of your fermentable sugars then it is a braggot not a beer
@@rednecksniper4715 it was only 20% honey, 80% Pilsner malt
@@ClawhammerSupply...mic drop.
NOOOO not conventional cereal lol waaaaack as that MTN DEW Mead
hey look its the overcharger @goldenhivemead
He was supercharged for this vid! 🔥
Damn looks like a typical brew day!
