- German sourdough is a staple throughout the country. Warm, crusty, dense - but airy - this loaf can accompany any meal of the day or makes a great late-night snack. Try it in a Dutch oven. We used our 5.5 qt. Smithey pot for this and the results were amazing!
Ein kleiner Tipp um das Brot "saftiger" zu machen, 110 gr trockene Brotreste mit 140 gr kochendem Wasser zu überbrühen und dann zu pürieren und abgekühlt zum Teig zu geben. Traditionelle Bäcker machen das heute noch so, das Brot bleibt auch dadurch viel länger frisch. LG aus Bayern🙋🏻♀️🏞️🏘️

@@francel8605 get yourself a sourdough starter first, you can buy them on ebay, try California gold rush or black death or seitenbacher starter. Probably what he uses here is seitenbacher but the author can confirm if he wishes.
