Other ideas: Cut a strip off the narrower end (re-hem) then cut a patch corresponding to the pattern and appliqué it on. Also, for smaller paint stains, what I’ve sometimes done is just dab on paint in color that matches the fabric. Acrylic paints from the craft store work well, don’t wash out and are available in lots of colors.
I think in YT speak, this is called a collective haul: items from various brands/outings. It’s nice to see pieces carefully selected over time and your sustainability advice is great! Beautiful finds.
Hi Alli, I love your videos! Would be interested in a video about eliminating clutter. I try to be clean but my house never looks as put together and cohesive as I’d like! Many organizational videos focus on purchasing new storage items but I also try to be low waste.
Just happened upon your channel. You got a fun and eclectic haul. I never thought about changing out the canning lids for solid ones; great tip. And I used to work for Goodwill a few years back; and you are correct. Although the general rule is to run items through the stores first, as you mentioned, the donation centers can get overwhelmed and stuff is sent directly to the bins. In fact, around Christmas is one of the best times for fresh merchandise overflowing directly to the bins, and lots of it; due to the sheer volume of donations coming in around that time. One customer ended up purchasing a vase for about a buck, which he found out later, was worth around 14k; and that's not an isolated incident.Still a win-win however, for the charity and customers alike, as it keeps folks coming back to donate and shop, again and again...Thanks for sharing your great finds.
4:48 sell them for profit or..? great valuable find :) oh and my parents have the exact lotus bowls at home. My mom uses them for deserts (like pudding). i love them!
I love to thrift, it for sure takes patience and time, it it’s so rewarding when you find something special, I enjoyed your video ❤ you have a great eye, love your thrifted items I have the same Rolling Stone tee😀
I hate to recommend amazon, but if you google "stainless steel mason jar lids" you'll find them there. The exact ones I purchased aren't available anymore. I've had mine for 3 years and they still look the same!
Love your haul. I also have been the Portland bins back in Jan & it is by far the best one!. I've been to the Seattle, Santa Ana, and LA but Portland has the best inventory :)
You could embroider some flowers over the paint stain . Then you wouldn’t have to cut up the table cloth.
That’s such a good idea!
Omg that is a good idea! You could do some vintage style sunflowers or daisys!

@@AlliCherry A patch would be cute too.
Thrifting is life, Caity & I do it weekly including for vinyl which I purchase “Pre

Yes! Absolutely. Thank you so much for watching!
I forgot how much I loved your videos! Ideas: maybe… cooking? Thrifting (more), diys
You really are the queen of thrifting! Love everything you got but especially the jacket. so beautiful!
Omg! You found the BEST stuff! That jacket is the CUTEST! Like, I would PAY for that jacket. I love it❤ and the weavings! Girl!
I wonder if the round woven things are basket lids and the loops would have been part of a latch to hold the lid to the basket.
That’s what I thought! Bummed the baskets weren’t there, although they would have been difficult to bring home from Portland 😂
12:47 possibly a rwandan bowl/trivet? if so I think the loop is just for hanging
Great haul. I love how you're so dedicated to buying secondhand.
Thank you!! 😊

I'm working on something along these lines, I'll hopefully finish it soon! :)
I just love the quilted jacket. Perfect with jeans and coordinating tees!
Thank you! I agree! 💞
Loved this video so much! That puzzle is such an awesome find, and I also love that quilted jacket. Your style is adorable:)

I love the quilted jacket on you. So cute! Thanks for the inspo.
Thank you! 😊
I was just watching some of your old videos for inspiration.. perfect timing!
So glad! 💖
Check the pockets of the jacket for tags!
I’m guessing, since they had handles of some kind, that they were kids to baskets!
I've been to the bins in Portland, I used to live there. It's a gold mine!! Love your finds. :)
The best!
Missed your videos. Hope all is well
I love everything you got from the bins!! especially the jacket... Thanks for the inspo!

Great finds!!! Thrifting def takes work
So true!

I have the same Rolling Stone tee😀
I've missed you so much! All the clothes are so cute!
I'm always happy to be able to post here! Thanks :)
I do the same with jar lids. I freaked when I learned peanut butter/mayo lids fit on small mouth Mason jars.
OMG!! Good to know!
@@AlliCherry Trader Joe’s brands are what I buy.
Where do you get the solid steel mason jar lids? The canning lids drive me nuts too.

I would love to buy those sunglasses 😅

I've heard that they're the best too! I'm going to try to go to LA sometime soon :)
LOVE the vintage puzzle and the Everlane dress. You could definitely let the hem down.
Thank you! :)
Lovely finds!
Thank you! :)
Talk about trash to treasure 😄
Have you thought about doing an updated skincare/selfcare products video?
Right!? :) That's a great idea, thank you!
I think the woven discs were meant to be wall decorations, possibly tied together to hang down in a line?
Oh that’s smart!!
The Everlane dress is so cute! Have you tried wearing a belt with it? ❤
A belt makes it a bit too short right now, but it might work after I let the hem out!
The shelf looks great!
Thanks!! 🧡
I was thinking maybe the woven things were lids to baskets?
That’s what I thought! So interesting that they would have two hooks each.
Those look like lids to baskets
I though the same!
I’m so scared of the bins lol going with family or friends is a good idea!
Absolutely! We all agreed to stay for an hour only which was nice. It would be hard (for me at least!) to go alone
Just wesr gloves for safety.
