Enjoying this series. Timing out with the nuts is painful. Ive done it before, i have also misclicked all in on the flop right into villains top set whilst i had absolute trash. I like to balance my giving money to villains for free range.
I was once 9 tabling and I misclicked raised river non all in OTR with the nuts, while i had another hand on another table with the exact same hole cards that i had a snap fold on, so when the table lit up to act on the other table with the nuts, the villain shoved for like 1bb more and i snap folded thinking it was the other table 🤦🏽♂️ Never tilted so hard in my life lol
Pot Sized Bet = (3 * Current Bet You're Facing) + Pot. IE: Pot = (1.84 * 3) + 2.90 = 8.42, thus 1.5x pot is 12.63 You can visualize it like so, Y and Z are 'our' money: [ POT ] [ Villain Bet ] [ Y ] ## This is the 'New Pot' after we match Villains bet with Y [ Z ] [ Y ] [ Y ] ## We need two more Ys and a Z which is the old pot So 3 * Y + Z, where Y = Villain Bet and Z = Pot Where Z and Y is money we the hero have to add.
I always use this thought process to explain the formula: We need to call villains bet once (1). Now his bet and our call and the old pot form a new pot which includes his bet (2) our call (3) and the old pot. So we need to add 3x Villains bet to the old pot to get this result and know how much money we need to put in for a potsize raise.
If you block there bluffs doesn’t that mean you don’t block value so why would you want to bet bigger especially when your made up word dangler being in 2 pairs and straights 😮

isnt X flop a better line ? we know fish range is wide and he will overbluff after we X flop.
