Composer(s): Jeremy Soule
And then he got a well deserved BAFTA award for this soundtrack! Long Live Jeremy Soule!
Absolutely no surprise that this is the same composer for Skyrim.
Kikyo4815 You for real? What's your source?
I was surprised, too. This page confirms it:
itunes.apple.com/us/artist/jeremy-soule/id179060916
That's an interesting surprise
He also scored for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic! :D
@@BonziBUDDY Just one name : Jeremy Soule.
Una de las bandas sonoras más épicas de todo el juego (incluyendo el juego del PS1, que también tenía esa banda sonora). Recuerdo que con la espada de Gryffindor en tu poder se sentía tan emocionante que literalmente estabas como en la película 😂😁.
Jeremy Soule's music is magical.
Still as epic as the first time i heard it. Quite the underrated hidden gem isn't it.
I remember replaying and
beating this game over and over as a kid then finally decided to let it go to another kid at my parents garage sell for 2 dollars. He was so happy and I know he went home to enjoy this game as much as I did.
Warner Bros game: We need a soundtrack for the boss fight from Harry Potter 2, it’s a cartoon videogame for kids so nothing serious.
Composer: don't worry, I'll take care of it
the best endboss theme I ever heared!!!!!
Back then when EA gave a damn about the fans and gamers and not about Money, Money, Money like Mr. Krabs bought the company
Honestly, I think even Mr. Krabs would want to be as far away from this company as possible.
All game publisher back then.
I remember finishing this game in 2 - 3 hours, though. The "year" isn't even 10 days long, it left me with an unfinished feeling. Even though it's cool to be able to pilot the broom everywhere afterward, it was a bit empty. Even through nostalgia I don't think it was such a good game.
The music is heaven, though.
@@Cael_Dereck I remember being kinda disappointed in the Prisoner of Azkaban game. I was 11 or 12 at the time, saved up my allowance to buy it, bought on a Friday right after school and managed to beat it overnight. My copy was the GameCube version, I don't know if it was different across the different consoles; my point is, however, that it was short. I fetl like the game had too many cutscenes and not enough levels or dungeons, even after loving the premise that this edition would be an ensemble game: You get to play as Harry, Ron, or Hermione and they each have different strengths and weaknesses (Harry is the most atheltic one and engages in platforming, Ron can access secrets and different passages, and Hermione is most varied in her magical arsenal).
Hell as much as I'd love to see the first two games get remastered the last thing we all need is classic Harry Potter trilogy with Microtransactions
One of the best final boss themes period. Right up there with Dark Bowser, The Greatest Jubilee, Deep Ambition, and It Has To Be This Way.
Oh my god ! This music is so frickin' epic !!
All it needs is Tom yelling “Kill him!!” in the background
"Ginny is dying, Harry."
@@SuperZez no duh
"Die, Harry Potter!"
god that was so annoying
@@urosasin8979 no no: “Die, Harry PottAH”
I want someone to remake this final boss as a Dark Souls fight: Harry being in a dark, dampy undergrowth sewer with the sword in his hand with the basilisk towering over him, along with this music playing. Does anyone else want to make this idea a reality?
It has some Dark Souls 3 vibe to it when you think about it.
A Dark Souls equivalent of this fight? Your wish has been granted, friend 😉
The fights should’ve been better in the game considering its one of my favourite finales across the HP franchise
Harry Potter is the Dragon (read: Wizardborn) and he's gonna give Slytherin's Basilisk a sword to her brain.
Put it on Rykard's boss fight
This is giving me extreme Star Wars Prequel soundtrack vibes!
Yeah like the fight between Obi Wan and Anakin on Mustafar.
its all fun and games until the sword of gryfindor replaces your wand so you have a chance
Ahhh... the good old times when movie-based games weren't just a cheap cash-grab.
You're Wrong Mind you that HP is a book first and the first games take from both.
You're Wrong by EA no less
Nah, those cheap cash-grabs were plentiful back then too
Oh, they were always cheap cash grabs, but some were better than others. Like the early Harry Potter games.
They were mostly bad back then... and still are even today!
Man, what an amazing theme, takes me back
It really depicts the great conflict and war between Slytherin and Gryffindor
I love the build-up, "oh no ginny is missing" "exposition dump" "oh shit that tom riddle guy hey lets kill a basilisk"
Recently played this game again and finished. Still love this ost from the game.
i must play first 2 hp games on ps1 at least once a year, this ost gives me goosebumps fr
What a final battle on the ps2 game! I'll never forget it. Just magic.
Pretty good quality for an old ps2 game. Color me impressed.
Roman Draco This is one my favorite ps2 games, I loved it back in my childhood and I still love it today.
Executive Sonda Me too.
It's like the music that would accompany Satan rising from Hell.
I have this connected to my stereo system blasting xD Its so epic
I used to just pause the boss battle and listen to this soundtrack for hours.
Ahh the good old days I loved this game and love this soundtrack. I always imagine myself fighting a powerful enemy while listening to this?
I so wish they'll bring this game to PS4 and Xbox 1, I love this game to pieces (even though I never got up to aragog)
Trust me its worth going back and playing fully its an epic game and my all time favourite ps2 classic
if EA still have the license definitely but it might have *cough* microtransactions *cough*
CHILDHOOD
"So this is what Dumbledore sends his great defender, a songbird and an old hat.... Hmff!" - tom riddle
If they played this theme during the movie…holy crap man I would’ve cried
Al fin la encuentro, desde que la escuché por primera vez cuando era pequeña me encantó.
la musica de la batalla final es muy epica
I beat this game multiple times to hear this song. Felt intense
A few things
1. Although Kingdom Hearts has a better OST this games OST is so underappreciated
2. I like that this game was more tied to the books plot wise.
3. Best song in the game
Quite an oddly specific comparison to kingdom hearts tho not inaccurate
Thank goodness for that.
Also comparison to Star Wars since funny enough John Williams composed the 1st two Harry Potter movie soundtracks before he got replaced in the third movie
Is nobody going to draw the comparison that the finale’s of Kingdom Hearts and COS are super similar?
12 year old kid with magic powers
Fights an angsty 15 year old kid
Saves his redhead girlfriend
Nearly sacrifices himself
Both came out in 2002
@@cloudshines812 I don't think you realize how common those tropes can get
Should used this in the movie Warner Bros.
Flipendo!
Beautiful song💖😍
I hope I have enough Wiggenweld Potion
epic why did we never get music like this in the movies
This game had no business having it's ost go as hard as it did lol
We've got to save Ginny Weasley from the basilisk!
0 dislikes... now THAT is
what i call awesome
now look
theres always gonna be a dickhead who reads this comment and dislikes out of stubborness
@@punkinhead7580 wdym there's still no dislikes!!! smh
I was looking for this everywhere Thaks you very much ! :)
What holds this gem of a soundtrack back is the following:
1 - No noticable lyrics. The chorus is great but 8magine if it was parcoltongue or pure Latin? Would make it sognificantly better and more immersive.
2- The Basalisk wasn't threatening. It slithers around roaring and dropping rocks on you. Great...but is that really it? The game mechanics aside, how about it biting at you or trying to cut you off from retrieving the sword? Imagine havimg to hit silent points of luring it away in the tunnels as you race to the swords next location until you are ontop of the head, dodfing it as you platform from the crumbling chamber due to the Basalisks blind rampage? Could have been more engaging then a small prop hunt and then target giant nonthreatening snek.
3- the lack of Tom Riddles involvement, and no Fawks. Have the pheonix distract Tom spell casting while you go get the sword. Just some extra little involvement would have been nice.
My biggest issue was the camera only pointing to the ground.
In the PC version of the Game the Bassilik is a bastard on hard mode.
Thanks, Jeremy :"D
Back then Spotify wasn't even a thing yet, so we had to copy the ogg file from the game into our phones if we wanted to listen to this beauty on the go. Probably a Nokia, like I did :)
My goodness, I could see Anakin Skywalker dueling Darth Sidious to this music in some alternate Star Wars timeline
@MrKeyblademaster1992 that would have been awesome, even if it happened in Episode VI
Why I'm I listening to time during an hurricane I still don't know. But hey it fits
The easiest boss of the game
But the sickiest theme
_I have returned! The world will be purged of all mud bloods and non magical people! I lord Voldemort will conquer all!_
Someone needs to remake this theme, it's so good. or a death metal cover
Still slaps me harder than moonshine. Jeremy Soule kills
Final Boss of the Opera
When you look for a Harry Potter battle theme and instead find a theme for a Dark Souls fight where the Boss is some kind of spectre of morality; every time you win against it, you lose part of your soul
This would make an epic champ theme for Pokemon as well.
Oh man thats the Best and epic Boss theme Song ever I Love my childhood that I could play this cool game on my PS1 and 2 but seriously the PS 1 games are much better than the Ps2 games
And yes I already have the PS 1 version and now I want to play it another time bye 😍
Skyrim with snakes
PC version of the boss took a bit longer to kill, multiple stages.
and worth more than the rest of other versions which mostly easier. What we expect from boss fight is an epic battle, not an easy-for-kids battle.
a real ost for final boss !
Tom Riddle disliked this video....
Christopher Greenland if anything Tom riddle would subscribe to this channel because of this song
"Lets match the power of lord voldemort, hier of Slytherin, againts the famous harry potter!"
let's face it, this is better than the movie soundtrack
If there ever will be mod that changes music in Skyrimi into soundtrack from first 3 HP games, this one should replace Drgonborn during battle.
no that would make it suck
Then what about on random drafon encounters
Ajzan1 Fun Fact, the same composer made the soundtracks for both of these games!
NOSTALGIE i love the game
Go get him basilisk
Sounding like Dark Souls what the fuck
If anyone can figure out the lyrics (assuming they're not just vocalizing, which at times it doesn't sound like they are), please reply.
also, f**k this fight on ps1
The most I can guess is:
There's something released
There's something released
(something something something)
(something something) Slytherin (gibberish or Latin? Or English? Come on, Soule, I could tell the singers of the Patronus stuff in PoA were singing in Latin!)
It's vocalised 😂
Why it sometimes sounds like they are not is a technique of "OHs" "EHs" "Si's" (And many more) creating a melody.
In Title Theme the Chorus is Singing the same Lyrics but slow down look
ua-cam.com/video/n-t3f4a7dpE/v-deo.html
but i don't have a kind of idea of the Language but the Games and Movies abuse of Latin and the Harry Potter Frenchism have Snak's Language but i don't think if this one was it but I only think if the Compositor's shold release the Lyrics :(
How would it've been with proper Parseltongue lyrics? Remember, Jeremy Soule wound up adding vocals for the *Dragonborn* theme in Skyrim.
Best END boss theme ever! Check also my video: Dumbledore vs Voldemort Battle with music: ua-cam.com/video/hN1o8mN5_TI/v-deo.html For everyone who has seen the movie, knows that this battle scene is without music. I think personally with the basilisk final boss(Basilisk Boss) music from HPCOS Game OST, that this scene has so much more power! Music composed by Jeremy Soule(The same guy who created the music for Skyrim.) Enjoy!
For those who are not aware, Jeremy Soule who created this ost also did the ost for skyrim. What a beast
is this the music from the Basilisk in Harry Potter???
Can't you read?
rizhelle mylce layong yes it is GameCube version that I know
@@srgShadow this song was in all versions of the game
Me encanta!
In terms of Visuals, the gamecube version is the best.
Makes me wish there was a version with the GC visuals and the PS2 gameplay, the GC and Xbox one have so much cut content
@@sylvyboi get a ps2 emulator and boost the graphics
I can hardly believe this is online and has so many views. I'm feeling happy right now!
this sounds like it should be in Dark Souls or Bloodborne not a Harry Potter game from 2002
Souls music before souls music
THERE'S SOMETHING RELEASED
Epic
Legend 💪
I wish they’d make these games available on PlayStation Store to buy so I don’t have to keep my PS2 console. I need to unhoard a bunch of stuff. I have way too many consoles and I just got the PS5
And I’m planning on getting the Xbox Series X too.
Does anyone know the lyrics or translation?
Like si vienen de súper conchetumario kart

Die Harry Potter - Tom Riddle
This Music ist the best Epic bossbattle theme in the history of games
But the ps2 Version in all is big bullshit the ps1 Version is much better and the bossbattle is much cooler than this bullshit on the ps2
Ginny is dying Harry !
Theme of the political crisis in Russia in August 1991 and in October 1993
