- The Diagon Alley's theme extended for almost 14 minutes! Enjoy!
This game soundtrack was composed by Jeremy Soule, London Philarmonia Orchestra
I was 11 years old then, now Im 24... Oh god that music....
washburnepiphone it's the same for me...I miss that time
washburnepiphone waw hahah same
Raven new movie in Harry Potter universe in november
Tenemos la misma edad =)
That would make me 6 when this came out, god time flies by
It's really weird, I've read the book, I've seen the films, I've played the games, I've experienced Harry defeating Quirrel, killing the basilisk, helping Sirius to escape from Azkaban, surviving the Triwizard Tournament, going against the ministry because they knew the truth, discovering who the Half-Blood Prince was, defeating Voldemort, and, after all these years, I still feel like a child listening to this song. Thank you so much for this extended version.
That really is beautifully put. Nostalgia can do a thing or two . . .
Incredibly well said...
Amén
likewise! Harry Potter helped us to shape our Childhoods
It's the noatalgia taking you back for a few seconds and making you feel exactly like when you were there, younger
Omg. This is the music that defined my childhood. Every time I hear it I tear up, no joke. It's just so beautiful, so Harry Potter-esc, just... just...
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
I really, utterly feel you...
I have the same feeling
It can't be described. The feeling you get of pure nostalgia. Especially not when it's about music like this. But I completely understand you. I feel the exact same
Same! This is the biggest problem with computers updating their operating systems.
Same here man I'm going through so much and this brings me back to those great moments of playing this game
Thank you, Jeremy Soule, for this wonderful music.
That dude needs to make more music... And get his stuff on Spotify!
Oh he makes tons of new music lol he's probably the biggest video game composer out there next to Grant Kirkhope who does more colorful and bright music, Soule does more epic, grand, fantastical stuff. Soule actually does the music for all the Elder Scrolls themes since the third one, Morrowind, not counting the Online one - all the music in Skyrim was by him. He's pretty great.
Definitely needs his work on Spotify
@@jaelenh.2206 his skyrim music and oblivion i believe is there, but i think we need his harry potter music there. Sadly contacting jeremy is hard now because he has no social media anymore.
This music is so perfect. MY CHILDHOOD. Chills everytime.
Flipendo!
Adam Mapp That Fucking spell has the force of a fucking Shotgun with dragonbreath bullets
Adam Mapp I think they mixed that with Nintendo.
Ay desde luego
CONSOLE VERSION: Flippendo! Lumos! Difendo! Expellearmous! Squrge! incendio! Alohomora (if you can afford it with 80 beans...)
PC VERSION: Flippendo! Lumos! Alohomara! Ricktersephra! Difendo! Expellearmous! WillyNilly! (not sure what it was, it was used in the dueling part) Spongify! (i haven't made it that far in the game yet but thats all i remember for now) lol
"Nope not through there". "Can't get in that way".
KTILLA23 and the simple "locked"
Callum White Walsh oh locked XD
My fav was Just running around casting flipendo and hearing “ouch!” “Harry!”
@@dahboo2273 "Stop that! Right now, Harry!"
Even though I played the game in my childhood. I still remembered about this line after seeing this comment
It's weird how these songs were used differently in each version. In the PC version this was the menu song.
I know, I remember to leave in the menu to listen for hours and hours... (I felt so sad when I finished this game :c)
It`s nice that they kept the soundtrack, even if the songs were played for different scenes.
@@Yuna5422 the games themselves were VERY different from each version, but thanks god they kept the same soundtrack for all of them :)
@@SkullMan140 Seconded Mate ^^
If my memory serves me right, the music played in the library for the consoles was played in the infirmary on PC.
This game was great, definitely one of the better movie games around. Decent graphics for the time, the world was fun to investigate, I really liked their version of Hogwarts castle and the Diagon Alley. Wouldnt mind an HD remake of this.
A hd remake with the same graphics and engine would have been nice. I mean, people made this game upscaled into HD, but you need some additional files for the game to even run on modern computers.
Hope Hogwarts Legacy will take us back to these memories!
@@Reyalegroand alas it didnt. Bland Ubisoft like world. No love or passion behind it. Just the dream of a large paycheck
24 years and a half, can't believe this game is 15 years old...My childhood right here.
I was like 8 years old when I played this game, now I’m 19 and I bought again for ps2 and wow nostalgic
I remember smashing those barrels in the corner of the map to get the silver coin things so much.
Wow, a Silver Sickel!
I absolutely love this music. 15 years later after playing this game for the first time with my brother, this music gives me the chills of nostalgia.
Played this game when I was like 7, went back to it on my last year of high school a week before I graduated. Listened to this song for hours thinking about all the great memories of childhood and such.
The moment this played as Harry came across Ginny and Molly, it felt like I had reached the light out of a dark tunnel. Knockturn Alley was creepy and lonely, but now I was in the presence of friends and it made me feel good.
Childhood memories overflow! I remember those days when games had music I still today would recognize at all times! Loved the game!
+Constantin Müller Have you played the playstation version? the pc one is smaller but the difficult is more believable i just want to know
I played the PC version
Constantin Müller Me too the music enhanced my experience soo i would wander around hogwarts just listening to indoors soundtrack i found a portuguese disc in a shopping way back
I mean, okey, im 14 right now.. But I loved played Harry Potter so much, that I still can say, this song made my childhood. I never played the gamecube edition, only the PC edition. But I still just start the game and hang arround in the menu screen because of this music. I did played the PC version a few weeks ago, it was wonderfull do play it again :) The games from the past are better, even when they dont have high or good graffiks.. for me the 2 part of harry potter as game was the best game I will ever play.. think about it, what will be in like 40 years or so? The Game could be forgotten.. It would be SO extremely cool, if EA or whoever created the games, would create the same game for newer PC/Consoles.. I think I can say it for everyone, we would all buy it. (Man I have this music in a loop for 5 hours now, and I will never get sick of it!)
Good bye, my childhood...

***** Свои всегда найдутся.
I still love these games I'm 25 now and I was probably about 11 or 12 when I played all these games they gave me so many good memories. Now I try to play them once every year for nostalgia purposes lol they're still great games to play I'll never get tired of them.
Damn, this song took me back in time. Being very small while my parents took me out while they were carrying out their business. Looking up at a perfect blue sky filled with puffy white cloud-kingdoms, wishing that the sky I was looking up at was the sky over Diagon Alley instead.
This song is just the auditory form of the pure wonder and decadence of childhood.
I'm only 16 and played this when I was 11. Still, NOSTALGIA! When you first hear this music in the game, faced with a beautiful new land to explore, it can't be experienced again. You've found out how the tune goes, what things look like, so you'll never be AS amazed as you were the first time. I listen to a lot of game soundtracks in my free time, especially this and Metroid Prime. Also Super Mario Sunshine. SMS was so amazing, since I was about 10 at the time. And it was the only good game I had played. I'd been playing smaller, less noteworthy games. Even now I can experience that feeling, that new land and new brilliant song when I play new games. Of course, I only play GameCube. My heart is set on it, like it always was. It's my way of finding nostalgia, appreciation of things that have passed. Things we recorded. Times in history and ideas captured. Music.
+Clayton Thomas That happens to me either, but, I couldn't have described it as good as you did. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! :)
Saludos desde México!
+Clayton Thomas i was about 6 when i was playing this now im 19 you can imagine the nostelgia overload
+Clayton Thomas omg im 15 and i played this at 9 but i can barely play it now cause the disk is scratched :(
try finding an xbox emulator online
Shane Thomas dude you're 16, I'm 26 and played this when I was 12. How can this possibly be nostalgic you? You weren't even born when this game came out.
Haven't heard this in 13 years. Whoah. #OLD
13 years?
I think I first played this game around 10 years ago now. I feel.
I wish I could experience Harry Potter for the first time again
Oh god bro idk the words. This was everything to me, still is. Lord this game made me escape harsh reality and it made me happy fr. Thank u to the creators and everyone involved with this game and the rest of them as well.
I loved watching my brother play the game and whenever he went into the menu, I hoped he would never leave it again because I loved this track so much 💙
The grand piano, the harp, the celesta, the cellos, the violins, and also the other instruments. This theme is pure magic.
When I played Philosopher's Stone for PS2 I had hoped I would go visit Diagon Alley like in CoS, sadly I only went into Olivanders but it's still cool. Has anyone noticed that the best HP games start not in Hogwarts: PS/SS: Olivander's Wand Shop, Cos: The Burrow/Diagon Alley, PoA: Hogwarts Express.
It's weird how you also remember every next beat and note!
I absolutely loved this game lol and I still do, I watch full longplays all the time. 😍😍😄😄
This game is such a vibe. A lotta good music is there that blends well with certain scenes
I've been looking for this song for years and finally found it ;) Ahh I feel like I'm 10 again
This Soundtrack also plays in Harry Potter and the Half Bloody Prince when you go meet Katia Bell before chase and fight with Draco Malfoy :)
Yeah when I first heard this in Half Blood Prince I flipped out.
This theme is my childhood
Огромный кусок ностальгии😧
I'm going to play this again ...
"C'mon Harry"
_Let's go to the Flourish and Blotts!_
I have play this game on nintendo gamecube when i was 11 years old, hear this make remember those great moments from my childhood.
Good vídeo, LIKE!!!!!!
Thank you for this wonderful music. I used to play this when I was three years old. This makes me so happy
Thanks for the extended version!
i was looking for this in a long time. Great memories. I remember going to school and my friends talking about the game what they have experienced etc.
after school play this game again. i was 10 when i played this. im 26 now and i still love this game. played the pc version though but i always listened to this soundtrack back in the days, so much magic :D
plz never let this time go ! always in our heart
Thank you for this gift Jeremy Soule
When EA games were games and not casinos.
i was 6 when i played the first three im 18 now holy shit, i still call it a trilogy cause the 4th one was shit, the 5th one was meh, 6th same as 5th, 7 part 1 shit, 7 part 2 gears of potter is fucked up, the first three was perfect for the time, and to me it still is, it dont need fancy graphics or to look like Daniel Radcliffe, i loved the style they chose for harry ron hemione, thats the trio i saw in my head reading the books.
I completely agree with you.
Joy Dawood thank you
Sukai Wolf agreed. 4th was two much of a hack and slash and the fifth...ehh. Anyway, the first three captured the real Harry Potter experience for me, and I live them for it. I think the 6th one did a good job as well, but never as good. This one was always my favourite.
Sukai Wolf I'm gonna be 18 on the 17th
They were more based off the books than the movies which was great. I loved that they included degnoming and mention of the headless hunt
Music that makes us plunge into childhood, nostalgia and a fairy tale.
I need to pickup this game. I still have my old PS2!
Cutelatinguy2 Lucky you
Lucky mannn
Same, but it no longer reads some old discs, namely the ones with the purple backs. And unfortunately, this game is one of those.
So many memories :’3
I wish peaceful diagon alley exists in an alternate universe, maybe we could visit it in the next life? the masonry, the people in robes, other kids running around looking for school supplies, creepy shops like borgin and burke’s
2002 ♥
I could say that most of the music that I'm listening and I like today it's influenced by this...
One of my first Xbox games. Memories.
Memories :(
I was just playing with The Sims 4's new Laundry pack, and I'm all about it but still wanted to listen to something else for a bit. This track came to my mind so I started listening.I read some comments and as I just clicked back to play with The Sims 4 I realized that I don't want to play anymore... :c It's sooo boring compared to this Harry Potter game. Sad.. #bestgamebestsoundtrack
I loved the style of this game. Especially the knock turn alley part and getting all Ginny’s stuff back. I also liked the whomping willow part and sneaking at night. Haha
Masterpiece.
La première fois que j'ai joué à ce jeu j'avais 8 ans et aujourd'hui j'en ai 21 et j'y rejoue toujours autant
My favorite and only EA game.
my fav one ..
thank you !!
this is sooo good
Best tune ever
thank you
I f***ing love this song, keep uploading awesomeness @「 TheMygoshi 」
MERCI !!
I love it. Nostalgia :') ❤️
😭😭
When the world was much simpler and happier
gracias!
I see a lot of people here being all nostalgic n shit......same 😭😭😂.
I love listening to this song while walking around my old neighborhood where I used to live way back when. It was always Naruto ultimate ninja 3 and this game NON STOP 🤷🏻♂️😅.
Is it just me or is this actually far superior to John Williams's "Diagon Alley" in sorcerers stone?
Yep, totally agree. :)
Both fit the occasion, since it's a movie there's a ton of extras in the alley, chatting, laughing, and walking, so the fastest and "happier" piece from Williams goes with the mood they bring into the scene.
On the other hand, Soule's piece is for a scenario that has just a handful of NPCs and the exploration of the alley it's longer since it's a video game and you're controlling Harry, so the slower and calmer pace of the song goes with its mood.

Atmosphere in PS1 Harry Potter/Chris Columbus movies >>> All other movies
I use to pause the game just to listen to this
A wonderful game. A wonderful soundtrack. Shame it had to change course from Goblet of Fire and onwards.
2022 gang 😎 second best Harry Potter game behind Order of the Phoenix
Was it that good? I had it for the Wii back then but the controlls frustrated me, so I quit. It had something to do with Thestrals and Wingardium Leviosa I think.
@@dickvieh It was pretty much an open world Harry Potter Game.
Although I really haven't played it that much, but I still remember it having very much content and a beautiful world.
It also included this piece of music right here - which put a giant smile on my face, when I played it!
putin les souvenirs :D le meilleur jeu de toute ma vie (un peu trop de nostalgie peut être XD )
Hahahahahaha ! Ça fait plaisir 😂😂😂
I was honestly hoping that we hear this in Hogwarts Legacy...
I'm really sad we did not.
★★the very good GG ★★
☆The magic☆
this is also the theme for the pause menu on the pc version
Another fine remix from the GBC version.
Channel owner: I used to sneak to the library at game night time in the pc game and keep my characters there as I slept. It was an eerie song or maybe just ambient noises/sounds...... If you could possibly locate it and do an extended, my song collection for this game would be complete.
Library on PC game? For a remember I only went to Library on Playstation 2, but maybe I am wrong, can explain?
tip-tap tip-tap tip-tap tip-tap
Anyone know where you can get sheet music for this ?
THIS IS MY FUCKING CHILDHOOD THEME! OMFG ❤️ I remember this music made me feel wierd, like scared, happy, adventure and calm, it's wierd jajaja but I love it so much
Me too!
Harrih!! T: Ron :))
1000 th like!
Me encanta
i don't found the music in movie album soundtrack of John Williams . It is only in game?
Yes, the game has its own soundtrack. It's composed by Jeremy Soule, not by John Williams.
Also, this particular track isn't present in the official soundtrack for the game.
Well, I never.
Marions-nous 8D
Lautael - Psychologue de la Ligue Anti-Spoil dans le jeu y'a des fichiers avec le nom "pvt" c'est Privet Drive et j'ai des dialogues avec Dobby l'elfe de maison
+Lautael Battler what u saying
Harry Potter dun fucked up when they added the DJ scratch sound effect in 5 and up. I wish EA hadn't turned to shit. :(
WAZ THE KOTAK
Huh? What do you mean?
