Sucks that many fans outside of the Packers base just don't know how great Ahman Green was. He was a perfectly sculpted running back that how great power and deceptive speed and was also good at catching the ball while having a bigger build to him. He was truly by every metric an every down back, of course he had a fumbling problem but that was later corrected and his 2003 season was legendary. They don't make running backs like him anymore man
We knew all about him in Nebraska; criminally underutilized in Seattle, and the Packers got him for next to nothing. Was an awesome fantasy football steal in 2002 and 2003 😅
@Spockulations You live in 2024 and still using terms “Brady rule” when there tons and tons of videos that show Brady didn’t get a rule after him. You guys just like being spoon fed narratives
This game was better than I remember. Thanks for putting it up. Maybe next time the Packers/Colts play you can consider doing the '97 meeting between the two. That was a stunner for sure!!!
I was at this game. The early safety happened right in front of us, sitting down around the 20-yard line. Then when it looked like the Packers might piss this one away Rossum returns that KO for a TD! I don't remember it being that cold, the beers must have helped.
Sucks the Packers teams from the early 2000's and 2007 couldn't get to a Super Bowl, and 3 years later, they make it but my Steelers had to be the ones that would fall that day.
i spent a week at ian's Broadcasting camp back in 2006 got to have a bunch of nice conversations with him Nice guy. The most dry sarcastic sense of humor ever. He brought in a box full of NBA Media Guides he got from calling NBA Games and let us take them. He personally Gave me a Titans Media Guide cuz i said they were one of my Favorite teams
why they lost. he wanted to win with a fieldgoal, and if the dont get the 2, the field goal only ties the game. but i agree, go for 2 make it a 1 score game
This was back when there was a big difference between teams that played indoors versus outdoors. Indoor teams generally had a terrible record playing outdoors on grass, especially in wintry conditions like this. Nowadays there's basically no difference, especially with all the retractable roof stadiums and so on, but it used to be a major factor.
Great point! I think the way they allow teams to condition the footballs is a big help as well. To your point, I remember teams like Tampa always struggling in cold weather. Favre, meanwhile, generally struggled in the silver and metrodome
Jim Mora overruling Manning wanting to go for 2, so that he could make a 2 score game a 2 score game in the 4th quarter. That’s why they paid him the big bucks.

How did the nfl manage to have only 2 games between favre and manning during this era? I know it is different conferences with them but damn it is a shame
It’s sorta weird that the Colts have won each of the last three regular season matchups against the Packers and are seeking to make it four pending Jordan Love’s status!
Whenever colts fans try to talk about Anthony Richardson's struggles. I just point back to early peyton manning. Even though he was great, he still had major fuck ups too , Richardson will be fine. Just like peyton was. (And no im not comparing them) Nevertheless, legendary QB & great game
This is a classic game between the two greatest quarterbacks of all-time in Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. The Packers won this game 26-24 at Lambeau Field.
Kinda crazy how “primitive” this game feels. Obviously in SD, but the play appears slower, the pads are a lot bulkier. 2000 seems like just yesterday and felt like modern football at the time… crazy to see how much changes in 20 yrs . Peyton throwing off his back foot every play lol. People forget he went like 3 - 13 a few years in a row before “making it”
This is classic football with Farve. Whether a win or loss these are the moments packer fans love. Kinda shed a tear Im 50 now 26 back then . My dad I watched every game religiously. In fact,if I had a choice I'd rather have good ole Mississippi back, rather than Hollywood boy Rodgers
@@iamza. stay mad all u want I’ve been watching the Texans since they were bad in 2020 and couldn’t make any good front office moves. Usually no one hates on young fans so u gotta be a mad titans or colts fan so shut up and leave ppl alone

He didn't correct the fumbling problem until 2006. Still 03 was a crazy season for him, and also league wide for running backs.
The NFL rules changed. After the Brady rule, RBs are basically obsolete. It’s now the Patrick Mahomes flag football show.
We knew all about him in Nebraska; criminally underutilized in Seattle, and the Packers got him for next to nothing. Was an awesome fantasy football steal in 2002 and 2003 😅

NBA doesnt make videos like this. damn shame, they hate their own history
They don't want to expose the fact that they inflated numbers
Because the younger generation doesn’t want to see how good the nba was before they were born
@@lightingbolt8148that makes zero sense

Really hope one day these games from pre 2009 are available to watch on NFL+

A YOUNG Ian Eagle calling this game
How old was he? seems like he still does games for the NFL and NBA.
Ian was 31 in 2000.
Now, he’s 55
was at his broadcasting camp in 06 Got to have some nice conversations with him Nice Guy
Facts Nate
Peyton Manning stats in the 4th quarter:
13/15 - 202 yards - 3 Touchdowns - 138.8 RTG
Are you kidding me?

The week after the crazy Minnesota game for the packers
I Remember This Game Between Brett Favre And Peyton Manning Like It Was Yesterday
Real qb play and football since the current NFL can't provide it
Huh so it turns out that Super Bowl 48 was NOT the first time that Peyton Manning committed a safety on the first play from scrimmage.

There is a difference. When you have a retractable roof you don't play in extreme conditions or when it's raining or snowing.
