Thanks for showing the headlight design. This is exactly what I want for my Celica. It keeps the original design while it looks more aggressive. I like it 👌🏻
To anyone looking to do this without messing with your factory wiring.. i soldered the Halo wires into the connector for the LED strip(the spyder parking light connector), this way they are all controlled by the parking light switch on the stock, and all turn on at the same time. Aside from not messing with my factory wiring, i can chose to turn the LED strip and Halo on or off during the day.
I connected them to the side markers (spliced) and they look really good nice n bright just no drl, I disabled my DRLs so I have full control of my lights at night
Hey i follow all your instructions and everything works fine except when they are on daylight mode, the passenger side halo doesn't work and it does work on the high beams, any idea what could be?
I used to have a celica with a TRD exhaust which was ok, just a little quiet. I'm not sure what I'm planning as far as exhausts go but we'll see when I turbo it B)
Could you splice the halos into the lead wire for the hi beams before the connector on the factory wiring and onto the lead hi beams on the headlight housing itself?
I don't know about connecting it to the housing per see, but I suppose if you wanted to you could absolutely do it that way! just keep in mind your power levels and if they'll trip any circuits or fuses.
@CarBois I had to re-watch this video in order to catch something I didn't understand. Are you saying that the H7 LEDs (i got Hikari H7 Led with H7 bracket) won't fit into those spyder headlights? Which one's did you end up getting, and did you need other brackets for those as well?
hey man! thanks for watching, and yes. I bought h7 LEDs and 9005's for my high and low beams. Those bulb sizes DO fit into the OEM headlights that the Celica came with from the factory. However, the spyder auto headlights use exclusively H1 bulbs for the high and low beams. So, I returned the H7 and 9005 and I'll have to buy two sets of H1 headlights so that they can fit the housing for the spyder auto headlights. Hope this cleared things up!
@@carboys568 yes this cleared things up. I bought the leds before I bought the headlights. So now...I would have to buy 2 sets of H1 Leds correct? Any brackets also? Did you end up getting yours done?
@@Pnutsk822 I have a set of H1 LEDs on the way and will be making a video shortly. and yes, I believe the spyder auto headlights (at least the model I have) use H1 size bulbs for both the high and lo beams. after watching a few other videos, I think we can custom make brackets so that they'll mount correctly also.
@@carboys568 ok thanks for the help and reply back. I will be looking forward to that video, once you get those H1 leds in. Hopefully those h1 doesn't need any additional brackets as well, and they can just be a straight fit. Which brands did you go with?
Hey man! Great video. I used it to install the same headlights on my Celica. I’ve got a problem though. The Halos don’t run. They light up if I turn the brights completely on, but not on their own. Any clue what I did wrong?
Hey man! thanks for watching the video! The halos should be connected to the lead wire of the high beams, which it sounds like you did! The day time running lights should be the high-beams running at 1/2 power, I'd check any fuses or, if you can, use a voltmeter to check the connection point that you chose to splice the wire in and make sure the DRL (daytime running lights) are actually running at half power. Essentially, make sure your DRL's work! Let me know if I can help anymore!
They really aren't as bad as I was expecting but that might be because the lights are adjustesld a little high. How do the led's compare in the stock housing??
@@carboys568 I bought H7 I believe slim harukai brand off Amazon and had to adjust the clip backet in order to fit snugly and not move during drive. CauE during drive the light pattern will go everywhere. They also sell bracket fro stock light H7 that work with LEd too
@@carboys568 HIKARI H7 LED Headlight bulbs, these are the ones o bought also forgot to mention I did take apart my headlights round housing to close up the “UFO” opening to make the beam more straight forward you might have to do that so you don’t get the “UFO light effect. I cut a connection on the wiring harness and it removed the daytime running feature for my celica
Where did you get the headlights from?
