My expectations are same as last year except I added "Hard working team" to it. Whatever happens happens, cant wait to watch them again in a few months.
This year is still a transition year for the Flyers, so I think any projection at this stage is nonsense. I am looking for big improvements in the power play.
Flyers are 70 goals away from being a top 6 team. They only scored 222 last season. They need a goal per game more and its not gonna happen any time soon. A top prospect Conner Bedard only scored 22 so..... you are short
Do the Flyers make the playoffs this year? If you ask me (flyer fan no matter what) we have a good 5 plus year’s until I can see anything meaningful happening. Everything’s going to be “ in house “ talent wise and draft wise. If there’s a big name out there you think should be signed don’t even think about it. I want to scream at someone some days and some days I feel good about this team I’m so anxious to get rolling. Let’s go fly guys
I think it's a 3 year plan from this year to be a regular playoff team. 5 years to become a serious Cup contender. If anyone has super high expectations, they are being unrealistic. I do think it's possible to make the playoffs this season. Expecting it could mean hurt feelings when they don't make it.
Denver has the possibility to be a Martin St Louis or Danny Briere type. He has the skills, and those guys were smaller and used their skills for a successful career. Would be great to see him in a Flyers jersey forcing tough decisions from the front office.
27th in scoring. Dead last in the power play. Basically the same team except for the addition of Michkov. My expectations, presuppositions, calculations, predicions and forecast is another year with the same old lame ass shit. As long as Rocky Thompson remains the power play coach, this team will never win a Stanley Cup.
I don't think it's Rocky as much as it is lack of true goal scorers and still growing young players. Foerster will be a 30+ goal scorer. TK already proved himself. They need a 30+ goal scoring center to center these two guys, then you have a line that will be on the ice for 120+ goals. Michkov and Luchanko have the potential for this. If they both grow to their potential, we'll have a great 1-2 punch at center. Tippett and Farabee are both 50 + points guys, which is solid second line work. With either Michkov or Luchanko, they could both get better. I think the scoring potential is there, but it would be nice to have a 50+ goal scorer for when TK's Flyers career is over. Like Jason said, the big question right now is goaltending. With Hart gone, we need a true #1 goalie. We also have some great roleplayers right now, and if we have solid top 6, it will be easy to bring in great bottom 6 talent. You have Noah Cates as a top notch defensive center, who can also score a bit. You have guys like Poehling and Hathaway who can play a good defensive, checking game and still have some offensive talent. Overall, there's potential, but we have to be patient and wait for the potential to be reached. I think with Torts and Lappy in LV, they have the best chance to reach that potential
@@Murph_. I agree with you about the scoring potential ( exception = Cates. Has slipped from last year ). Besides scoring, Power play also involves setting up in offensive zone, tape to tape passing, both of which looks abysmal right now. Being dead last in the power play for 3 consecutive years has got to change. That said, you have brought up some good points.
Yup. No top5 picks. No playoffs. No mote elite potential prospects here than last year. Actually I would argue one less (in Gauthier) for a horrible LTIR hospital bed in Drysdale eho hasn't played in two seasons and was injured and needed another surgery when they brought him here. And they Knew it! 🤦🏻♂️🤡 Absolutely atrociously unacceptable imho. Especially considering LTIR already in the organization.
@@TradingIsLife420 Yes, it looks like the rebuild may take 4 to 5 years now. Maybe even 5 to 7 years if Briere ONCE AGAIN decides to trade DOWN at the 2025 NHL draft in order to acquire STILL more draft picks in 2026, 2027, ...... When will it all end?

Just hope to see them take a step forward still don't know what the goalie situation will be.
Just have to wait and see
My expectations are? Michkov? Drysdale? Coots? Goalies?
Expectations = Top5 pick/James Hagens/Future 1C with Elite ceiling. 🤷♂️
Flyers would have to give up a TON to get him ( picks, players). Would like to have Hagens but I don't see it happening.

Why are these podcasts so low quality? So much loss of signal and audio clarity. Time to get Comcast/Flyers to upgrade your bandwidth Jason M.
His pods been ok on my phone, I use Wifi on my phone and have no issues
@@johnsparozich6839 I use a desktop connected via Ethernet on very high speed connection so now makes me wonder. Thanks

Overrated and horribly overhyped.
