Thanks for the feedback Harv, was great talking to you on phone. Cant help you with that Wright haha. Hoping we can make some good things happen for guys with bars and chains lol. Please feel free to beat the snot out of that stuff and show how it goes good or bad. I’m not interested in selling junk. I’m interested in a good product that helps guys with bottom line. If we can get close to the “big boy brands” in terms of performance and longevity or match/ exceed that’s value for sure.

BeeRay Farms hey I’ve used archer chains on a few firewood saws. They rip. There’s an oil channel in the drivelink. They stay cool with the bar buried. Appears to have a tempered cutter

Don’t have BARS to fit the old Larger Homelites now as our old stock is kaput but we still have access to lots of .404 63 gauge chain and almost any configuration or gauge in 3/8 and the other common sizes. In terms of Bars the current TsuMura Bar line is geared towards Husky, Stihl, Jonsered, Dolmar(Makita) and saws that will mount to those. There are methods of making bars fit saws, but I probably shouldn’t get into that. Other channels will show you how. TsuMura also offers a regular “non lightweight bar” (no resin squares). They typically run a bit cheaper in any given size and like Harv says that’s probably a better option once you get over 90ccs. Balance is important in my mind..

Harv my dad always said there is old loggers and bold loggers. There is never an old bold logger! Don’t feel bad about not being able to production cut anymore. You have a different calling now embrace it. You are helping a lot of up and coming loggers. Just one question what would you give now to have had a guy share his knowledge of logging like you do back when you where a green horn? (Left acorn??? )

    Hi Harvey and Cullen!!😀😀
You have to face the fact just like I had to. Logging is a young man's game. Unless you stay at it steady . When you hit 50 you start to really slow down in the woods. If you have old injuries they start to make it almost impossible to make a living cutting timber. That's where you and I are now. We both have bad backs and bad legs from all the years of doing it. We have to just enjoy cutting our firewood and trying to teach the younger guys the right way to do it so they don't get hurt.
I love to cut wood but I can only do it for a couple of hours and I have to sit down and call it a day. But I can still block 4 to 6 face cords of wood in that much time if it's decent stuff.
So Harvey enjoy making firewood and teach Cullen how to do it the proper way!!😀😀
    Take care my friends!!😀😀❤

I used to run a tank of gas out before I stopped but sense My 7 weeks of radiation and chemo 2 years ago I could only work 15 minutes at a time because the saw is now twice as heavy as it was 10 years ago. I'm 74 now my saw is a 50cc 20 " bar but I got rid of the dead Elm that was close to my house here in Minnesota.
    So there.

So I got to tell yah stumbled across your channel .... watched some ... Honestly trying to make a decision ... On whether the content was something I already heard before or not ?
    But now I'm big fan.
you go into depth on things that others are not willing to do.
The main reason I try to be a better woodsman can be more self reliant is so I have some things to pass down to my son. Ive cut and made my own firewood since I was in single digits. But can always learn something more !!
    Thank you sir !!!

And thanks for the information on cutting, I'm winching 400 ton of lark out of a small wood, selling for fire wood gives me a better return. Don't do much felling but it nice here tips and pointers really enjoying your content has always.

I’ve watched a lot! Of your videos especially on porting especially since I’ve done some on outboards. Because of you I bought a 365 burnt a piston and rebuilding it now just no factory p&c I just bought a new Echo 620 p it has 24 inch bar with full comp chain and pulls it fine. I only had one tank of gas through it but I would put it against any stihl or Husqvarna of the cc

I saw the Wright saw in the background and was happy to see you talk about it in the video. I have several of the blade saws and also a Wright chainsaw. You mentioned that you know where to get carb kits. I have been unable to find carb kits anywhere for the Carter ND carbs. Some came with tillotson HL's, and I have kits for them as they are very common. If you know where the Carter kits might be avaiable, I could get a blade and chain saw in operation, do a video and talk about the history of the companies that produced these saws. Mr. Obsolete would appreciate any help. Thanks.

One thing I never hear you guys talk about is cracking trees, When I worked as a short term logger the old logger who taught me would always saw the trees close to the ground and would yell like hell if you didn't fall it right and cracked the tree, very important not to bust up the lumber. Harvey knows all about that, I am sure.

TsuMura makes real nice solid steel bars (non lightweight) still have replaceable greasable tip etc, and are high quality. Anyways I put a 28” solid TsuMura on my 660 Stihl. I will just say that Bucking firewood logs in a pile with that setup in half dirty situation is a game changer with that setup. This stuff we are in now is Red elm, maple, walnut mix and big diameter. Maybe we will post a video after the 4th…

For anyone trying to loose weight around the middle, it is very hard to shift. I had fat around my waist, that would fold when I sat. I took up cycling; three one hour training sessions in the week, and a 5 or 7 hour competition ride on the weekends. Even after two years of doing that, the fat belt was only down by about a half. I think the only way to get rid of it is to do sit-ups on a very regular basis. Best of luck...

Not that I cut a lot of trees, but for hinge size I try to use 10 percent of the width of the tree. So, on a 24" tree I would like to have just under 2 and one half inch of hinge.
