- Video 2 of 3. Started out in Ballarat California, this place holds lots of history to the old Gold rush era of the west. From Ballarat we went in search of the old Box Car Cabin which was used in the old mining operation of the Corona Mine. (Active Mine from:1928 - To: 1929).
The things look much different than when we were there a couple years ago
Yeah, lots of changes, Lots of water up there. Either the mine will commence operation under a new claim or the park service will begin restoring/rehabilitating of the old Corona mine?
So they're actually going to try and work that mine again? None of that was there when you and I were there last time
I started watching but it was only in 360p...I am going to wait for the better quality to be processed....I'll be back 😁
Awesome! Yeah it’s gonna take a bit to process. Cheers
Looks like I have a new cabin to check out. Do you ever worry about coming across any rattle snakes when walking on those trails with your dog?
No I don’t worry at all. Usually in the middle of the day Rattle snakes hide out when it’s real hot out. They tend to come out more often in the early to mid morning. They’ll let you know if they feel threatened, typically they’ll just hang low key. Cheers!
Did your engine temps stay low while cruising through the desert?
On the flats it stayed relatively low engine/trans 190-195*f. Climbing up the Panamint Range, trans temps climbed up to 198-208*f, engine 197*f. I ran the aux trans cooler fans which then brought the trans temp’s back down to 197*f on the long climbs. Cheers!
@@trackcalledquest I’ve watched your aux fan install video. Actually bought the Trail Tailor paper clip guard after your video
maybe I missed it, what/where did you get that flag set up? Thanks keep up the vids.
Nothing fancy, just zip tied the flag to my Insta360 camera 9’ telescopic pole. I installed a couple of quick fist clamps to the driver’s side of the Jerry can holder. It actually works great. Thank you!
"Promosm" 😊
