I absolutely love Corinne Bailey Rae, and am very happy she is doing exceptionally well. Her music just brings me a childlike happiness, just full of innocence. Even the album the sea, though it’s a bit heavier than her usual, it showed growth and an acceptance to whatever was, with optimism of what would come. She’s truly blessed.

That's the thing about grief, it can be overwhelming & unbearable. Each of us comes out of it our own time. Such a beautiful & unique artist. Her music got me through my own heartache.♥🌹♥
Ooooo I love her! I remember when a reporter asked her if she was going to have children and she scolded them for being so personal. She is notoriously private until it’s something very obvious in her life. It made me smile to know she has 2 babies now. Children are so healing. She is moving right along in life. I truly hope she is happier than even she imagined she would be. ❤️
People need to understand that everybody can't handle grief the same way and shouldn't dismiss the grieving so easily.

"Trouble Sleeping" is my favorite song from that album. Not only did I buy the CD, I bought the DVD of her live performance. I'm now listening to her cover of Deniece Williams song "Free" with Marcus Miller.
I love her. Her music was always so raw and just relaxing to listen to. Glad she’s healing and finding happiness in her time.

I was so sad when I heard her love died. She was such a sensitive soul and we humans can be so fragile. I hope that she has found joy and happiness and has been able to make peace about her loss. She will always be a beautiful spirit!

So true! I had to hear "Free" by Marcus Miller featuring Corinne Bailey Rae on 102.5 Fusion Tijuana radio station. And that was just this year. But better late than never. I suppose 'it' happens exactly when 'it's' supposed to.
I cried for months from my first heart break off her album 🥴 saw her in concert and John legend opened. Beautiful voice.

Corrine has the most angelic voice I have ever heard
I went to the same school as her,went to school guides with her. Grew up admiring her and her sisters too. Her parents were always supportive always positive when I saw them. Her little sister became a soap actress in England and her other sister I think a charity worker,organiser. Very interesting story about her marriage and yes how hard it must have been on top of so much fame a death so soon in her life,so young. It doesnt seem fair. But im sure after he passed she must have gone through a spiritual awakening and found a new self so come back with. It isnt easy. I congratulate her and her family for getting though such times and challenges. A great woman,great music. A rare soul with a music heart

She’s one of those artists I do really like her debut album, and the track, “put your records on” I still jam out to!! 🧡🌟🧡 So heartbreaking about her husband’s overdose. I loss my dad to an overdose, so I heartbreakingly understand in a way so very sorry about her massive loss, and love of her life even.💖🙏🏾😢

This was such a good biography. I haven't heard about her in a while but I see she is still flourishing, which is so good. 🙏 I remember enjoying her music. She has always been so pretty to me and has such a pure, sweet spirit.

I would like to know why would she marry an alcoholic who does drugs? She is stunningly gorgeous and she know she is. She could have easily found love with a man that wasn't a drunk or drug user.

Never ever take methadone w/o your own prescription, nor drink socially while on it since theres no way of safely judging what YOUR body can tolerate. I personally know two people, both recreational drug users /drinkers, extensive histories of substance use who died as a result of the deadly combination of methadone and booze. Heck they were both active in addiction yet that meant nothing since the body often will tolerate alot of abuse up until it doesnt.

Her first Husband was very controlling about her career and finances. To the point where he vetoed her managements contract negotiations when she wanted to switch record companys. He did that behind her back. That was why there was a delay in her second album. She discovered all rites belonged to him. He literally destroyed her career. She never recovered from that

I thought this was about Corrine or it about an in-depth left turn of "how her husband chose mind altering drugs that helped his crawl to death?
The topic is what almost caused Corrine to Quit music Indefinitely. Which the Death of her husband nearly made her become recluse. He struggled with substance abuse. And as his wife she may have felt guilt for not doing more to help him. Corrine's personal life is a huge part of her music. So I feel speaking more indepth about this incident actually helps you understand Corrine more. Grief can destroy people. This has been a topic that many of her fans wondered about so it makes sense that its covered in this video. I'm happy she was able to overcome this dark period, has found love again and still continues to bless us with her talents.
