That home is an artistic wonder, just beautiful and build by hands with a good heart and a creative mind - it deserves to be preserved - made historic and get protected as such. If there is a way to fight this reservior being so intrusive it needs to happen. More and more people living in rural areas are being pushed out by big bucks with no consideration for those who wish to be left alone.
Tell them to look at what damming rivers did to the southwest. People need to learn from history instead of repeating stupid actions. Dams ruined the Colorado River compared to what it was naturally before hand. Destroyed native fish habitat, drove them to threatened and endangered species status because they need the fast flowing water for reproducing, not slow deep cold yucky water. Water doesn't even make it south to Baja where it used to go and help keep things beautiful.l there too. There is no respect of nature or rural lifestyle when someone thinks they can make money. It's a crying shame. Thank you Trinity for sharing. Stay strong rural Texans.
If they can pump oil thousands of miles through pipelines, someone can figure out how to desalinate saltwater from the gulf and do the same. Eminent domain is theft.
What do you do with all the brine by-product of desalination? There's two to three times more hyper salinated brine than resulting fresh water. If you dump it back in the vicinity of the coastal water environment that salinity goes up which, in turn, affects all near shore aquatic reproduction and marine life. On a large scale, I don't think it's viable.
@@cranseiron How about copying on a large scale, an ERD (energy recovery device-desalinization water maker like what's available on sailboats? Uses very little energy. Also, if they can encapsulate spent fuel rods for a century, they can do something similar with the brine. The answer is out there.

It is so sad that this beautiful land is going to be destroyed. I live in Mason County Texas and cities around us are all searching for water. Everyone wants their green yards and it is disgraceful that we use potable water to keep non-native grasses green.
I moved from Texarkana to east DFW in 2007. In the last 4 years the population has exploded, it's just insanity. A lot of corporations are moving here and bringing their employees with them. We can't keep up. My wife and I have discussed many times selling our home and moving back out in the country. But everything is so insanely expensive anymore that we don't know where we would go. Yes, I know what you mean. Here in my area by Amarillo, The McMansion developments (including the area Cong. Ronny Jackson lives in) are built in delicate rural geographic areas and require enormous water supplies. Palo Duro Canyon is a delicate and beautiful place that is getting way too developed.
How is this even happening!?! All the existing infrastructure is falling apart- in need of billions of dollars of repairs they can’t fund- but they have money for this?!? Not that it was ever a great idea when it was working!...the network of canals and lakes is already destroying biology- it was built for commerce- not to provide water for anyone, or protect anything but the GDP...that is why they won’t abandon their failure
Follow the money folks. Look directly at the Governor's mansion in Austin for your answers. Texas isn't isn't the pretty girl, just the cheap ass available one left at the end of the night. This unabated growth comes at a huge price and the returns will not balance the ledger at the end of the day. What an absolute shit show.
Stupid idea. Think about it. We are a nation of freedoms. Laws yes but freedom to live where we want and do as we please. Putting limits on cities just increases the power of governments and who gets to decide? No you. Those in power would tell you where you can and can’t live.
@@Bearcat19 look up the Mouse Overpopulation experiment by Psychologist John B.Calhoun. That would be true in an ideal society, but for most people- the government already dictates what they will wear, and what they can say, and what they can eat. Furthermore, cities not only consume 90 percent of resources (like water)...they contribute 90% of pollution killing everyone beyond their city limits...so why shouldn’t there be limits?!?! Also, people that live in cities are slaves to the corporations that own them- which are already to big to be held accountable or to tell no, or to respect decency

All the moderate level headed politicians have been run out of town by radicalization on left and right. The founders designed our form of government to operate by cooperation and compromise. Radicalization has given rise to fruitcake politicians who grandstand, believe in Jewish space lasers or communism and perform in front of the camera so they can get reelected and get rich. The political types we send to Washington are not going to help. The process of legislation has become toxic by the voting public who send radicalized fringe politicians to represent us and who refuse to compromise. The attitude is one of destroy the enemy and winner take all. Our democracy will fail if this continues. Because Congress can't get anything done the executive branch of both parties legislated by executive order to bypass the failing legislative branch. These orders are not lasting because as soon as the other party gets voted in they recind all previous executive orders and issue their own. The next election only renews the cycle. This country needs to relearn how our legislative system was designed to work by the Founders. Modern hyper partisan politics is breaking it.

They're not insane, they're cold-blooded greedy...all they care about is money and they don't care who they destroy/ruin/or displace to get it.
Yes you have to have a mailing address in the affected area to express your "vote"😅😂.
@@Livelaughlove-n8t But we don't have to have an address in the affected area to hold a massive protest at the capitol. Eminent Domain is theft of land and theft of the American Dream...and our Bill of Rights! I don't know how you get a movement started, but we need to make this issue a top priority in Texas and demand that we hold to our national values and individual rights FIRST above all else! Abbott could make it a national thing...governing like true Americans!
Mexico should get the biggest vote, though!..as we know every American that moves to DFW is another Mexican child that dies...stealing water from cities that are already under extreme pressure further downstream.
Thats a fact and a crying shame.
That's a thought, A National Heritage site, they can't destroy it then.
This man is losing everything and he is still sharing his canned foods. Not junk from the store, real canned food.
Yeah but you still need water to can those
@corypeacock556 and?
Exactly

I personally had friends that lost land that had been a Grant to a Texas Independence Family. It was over 1000 acres and now under water of Joe Pool Lake outside of DFW . His families land was in
Ellis County. Water for Dallas 😡😡😡

The story in dry Texas is to never own land to close to a thirsty growing city.
Of course, even if your rural land is far away from these politically strong anger-sinks, they'll just use your land for their ugly wind turbines or one of the garbage pits.
Or their noisy bitcoin mines!!

Wow…his place is beautiful!!!
It is so sad that this beautiful land is going to be destroyed. I live in Mason County Texas and cities around us are all searching for water. Everyone wants their green yards and it is disgraceful that we use potable water to keep non-native grasses green.
Caint fix da stupid 😢

I moved from Texarkana to east DFW in 2007. In the last 4 years the population has exploded, it's just insanity. A lot of corporations are moving here and bringing their employees with them. We can't keep up. My wife and I have discussed many times selling our home and moving back out in the country. But everything is so insanely expensive anymore that we don't know where we would go. What I know is that there is something very nefarious going on with these land grabs, it sickens me to see this happening.

It’s all by design!
What a tragedy for these people! This should not happen. Let all the rivers run free and there would be plenty of water.
How about this, let’s put limits on how much cities can grow!
Grow up up not out!😮
Follow the money folks.
I completely agree with you on the need for people to have more open space of their own, but realistically with population being what it is, short of also enacting some kind of law limiting how many years humans can live, or how many kids we can have, or how many kids our kids can have, I don’t see it being possible with trampling constitutional rights.
Trinity Vadenacre, I invite you to come and tell the story of what has and is happening in Fannin County, TX around newly filled/opened Lake Bois d'Arc. You should come and visit with the folks in Fannin County, TX where Bois d'Arc Lake has been completed to see what will happen after the fact.
There are some new opportunities, but did it replace what was lost, probably not. Plus, there are some questionable activities and tactics happening after the lake has filled.
Thank you for telling the ongonng Saga of Marvin Nichols. I've noticed a lot of these folks have been mentioning Bois d'Arc Lake.
That exactly how I feel abt our home here in the country in Louisiana.
Same thing happened to my family in Louisiana. They had property out by Bod Cau Dam and the government came in and forced everyone out.
Sooooo beautiful I wish I could live right there. !!!!❤
Damn the people who are trying to build this lake. May their houses and green lawns be flooded.
When you have the dairy farms and Switzerland come in to an area that is farming and uses a lot of water then the aqurfer can't handle it. Lived on a farm for 10 years and know how precious water is it's an eye opener. Thank you for showing this. God Bless.
I don't live far from there. I haven't heard anything about this until now. Reach out to local news outlets. Send petition out.
Lithium extraction requires approximately 500,000 gallons of water per ton of lithium.
And that isn't green energy because that water is being polluted.
@AlbertMoyerJr I Agree👍
Men with greedy hearts and minds destroy whatever they touch and call it progress.
I own a house in South Arkansas at the base of the National forest they have found lithium… this green energy is taking our lives
@@marybriggs2589 It's sad and the energy is not green. Nobody is doing lithium extraction news on the pollution of water. Eventually nobody will be able to drink water.
Heart breaking to loose such a beautiful home. They did the same thing to the Lakota Sioux Reservation when they built the dam that created Lake Oahe. It destroyed the Lakota farms, homes, and town and left them with land that would hardly grow anything.
Shameful!
Thanks for calling this out. i saw annother interview as well seeing lots and lots of planes, balloons lately. Im only an hour away from this. It can happen to anyone.
Praying for all the folks possibly affected by this non-sense.
This is absolutely heart wrenching. I can’t even imagine. 💔
Unfair and overreaching for sure!
You are blessed to have that land and it should not be taken due to eminent domain. Prayre warriors, you have to bind these spirits of greed, socio and psychopathic behavior that they truly believe they have a right to anything they want, for now its your land! Plead the blood of Jesus and rebuke these spirits trying to take your land! Look what has happened in N.C. All those poor people who’ve lost everything. Then it’s revealed mining companies want their land.
C.J., can you provide a link to that story? I live about a half hour West of Charlotte and we've heard nothing about it. Not disputing your word, just want to learn more about it.
@@jonpatterson7211. Please do your own research off of the names and locations in the article. I just pasted above specifically in the year 2020 there was an article that came out about that specific mining location in North Carolina. They are not going to write news articles on the dirty deedsthat big money do. It’s up to us to connect dots and do research.
There is another quartz mine in that location or near it in North Carolina as well. Apparently, these mines have a very pure quartz that is highly sought after and is very valuable when it comes to electronics.
Do some research on the land grabbing that took place in Hawaii after those random wildfires. Also do some research on the housing market in 2021 and 2022 and who specifically had their hands all in it and was doing the purchasing.

I remember in the not so far distance when we were told to reserve water. I don’t ever hear that anymore.
My best wishs you can stop them!!!
Oh no, this is awful! It saddens me the this is allowed. I'll pray for a good outcome for you. I'm also a Texan. God Bless you and your family.
Someone suggested signing a petition to stop this from happening and another person recommended hiring an environmental analyst or something like that to find an endangered plant or animal, big, anything really, that would prevent this land grabbing from happening. I hope they'll do that and keep their property 🙏
The evil has increased so much they don't care about any life form. Endangered species is usually for land grabs these days.

LOVE hearing him say that the cedar came off “the place”. My people are from East Texas as well and that’s exactly what we called our ancestral home…”the place”. ❤
It happens everywhere. My rural Arkansas childhood home my dad built and my sister’s home they built next door was both taken for a diverted highway. It was heartbreaking and nothing you can do.
What is being done to this family’s land is a Horror. How can this be legal? This family owns these acres. 700 acres plus another 70 acres not far from this. This man built his own log cabin he said. It took him 5 years. These plans are so very wrong.
I live in Texas! Thank you young lady for your service. My hubby retired after 23 yrs. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! What can I do to help protest this? I am in Central Texas.
And this beautiful family, their heritage, the home they built, and their existence mean NOTHING to the money-grubbing land grabbing thieves in the big city. The developers don't see people, they see profits!
They already have a Ray Roberts and Texoma to the North and theyre MASSIVE
That’s right! They are huge!
They don't need the water. They want the waterfront land for development.
They haven't opened the red river dam in a while now. Just now getting rain so I'm sure it will open soon.

Grew up between Hagansport and Talco. Family was the Walls. ( The 4W) I remember as a kid when they were talking about the reservoir. Sad to say that the homestead was divided up and sold but sure loved that country when I was growing up. The backend of the place would be covered in water if and when the reservoir goes through I suppose. We had an old cemetery with graves dating back to the mid 1870’s that hopefully will still be above the waterline. Lot of history in that country. Sad that greed puts all those folks off their homestead.
Thank You For Sharing We Have To Protect Our Heritage God Country Family

Frightening facts they’re gonna take the land anyway no matter…Government has been out of control because the we the people didn’t stand .
Right! They are fakes!!!
That house is amazing! I wonder if he can move it somewhere. What a shame it would be to lose it!
Trinity, This is EXACTLY what the federal government & other powers that be did to the American Indians. Show them enough "beads" for their land & make them move. It was called Manifest Destiny.
I pray you keep your land
I watched Florida turn into a mini New York City growing up. After 59 years I moved to Arkansas, never going back. Florida has cut down half the trees. Orange groves and cattle ranches started disappearing in the 1980s. What a mess. Grid lock, four story buildings built on pasture land, and more idiots than you can shake a stick at.
Run by a Republican
Two reservoirs built in the counties east of me - lots of pasture land about to go under water, none of which is going to the locals but all being piped 100 miles to DFW area. They tell us it will be a great recreational area, attracting migrating water fowl, etc. Then they decide they want to build gigantic windmills all along those water fronts. Excuse me?! Locals are fighting it but the land belongs to kids and grand kids who live elsewhere and don't care about anything but their own pockets. SIGH!
That is my kind of place to live I have lived on a ranch all my life then all this rodeo on with my family and my daddy That's my kind of house I love it it's beautiful it's gorgeous to me you did a great job on that house

FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL!
Time for politicians to stand up for hard working Americans.
I certainly agree!
Reminds me of when Lake Aquilla, Texas came it, took all my grandmothers land. So sorry.❤️😊
You all get together!!!
