The assholification started with “trickle down” economics, Citizens United, and the prioritization office profits over everything. I can’t wait to see this!
Got to pay workers little as possible and raise park entry fees so the past and present management can get their big wages, pensions and benefits! for life and beyond
I think that the bigger question is… Why do people who get minimum wage accept their circumstance? You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value that you bring to that hour and how difficult you are to replace. I am not saying Disney’s 100% right. What they charge for a good amount of their vacations is borderline ridiculous. However…. Imagine if it were $25 to get into the parks, food was less than McDonald’s prices, and merchandise was akin to the $0.99 Store? You’d have mass, unsafe hysteria. Financial education is, sadly, not taught in schools. People need to learn how to invest in assets (things that put money into your pocket), vs. liabilities (things that take money out of your pocket). You can start with ANY amount, and build over time. This best selling classic on the subject of wealth creation and wealth management changed my life. I can now afford to visit the parks, as a guest, as opposed to being a front line cast member: The Richest Man in Babylon: ua-cam.com/video/79pn5nm9_AY/v-deo.html

Wrong on all counts. It started with the government thinking it had the right to tell the private sector what to do.
The American dream is becoming a nightmare
And it's because of racist boomer turncoat hypocrites like Abigail Disney. She is a sellout. She is endorsing Bob Iger over this latest board battle.

Also…
Remember….
Walt, himself, stated with $40 and a dream.
There are no excuses.
